We brought a small collapsible cooler in some days with sandwiches and juice. It was searched but nothing was said. We noticed lots of people having picnics in the parks like us. I brought bags of snacks, water bottles, and juice in every single day and nothing was said. It saved us a ton of money not to mention time waiting in lines for snacks or meals. One security guard actually kidded DH about joining us for lunch if he could. I also have to say that Disney has done a great job with the security checks. The lines moved fairly quickly, and the guards all displayed appropriate behavior. Two hints would be to let one person carry all the bags through the check in while the other person wisks through the "no bags" line and sits with the kids. This strategy worked great for us and kept the kids from waiting in another line. I also suggest having all your zippers unzipped before you actually get to the front. The guards want to see all way to the bottom of the bag, so I found keeping things in large ziplocs made it easy to remove one if I needed to for them to see.
