Bring back the good o' days, Things ..........

I miss:
Playing all around my neighboorhood in the summer..morning until dark.

Popeye on Sundays on KTTV followed by the family film festival

Jello pudding pops and the Big Stick sold only by the ice cream man

the ice cream man

Saturday morning cartoons that were special because cartoons weren't on 24/7

battle of the network stars

shrinky dinks

Cross Colors jeans (that was high school though)

kids birthday parties that were at the kid's house with a cake and ice cream and a tiny bag of take home party gifts. At the party, you played games and had fun with each other.

Ie......parties that didn't cost hundreds of dollars and parties where you didin't have to go out somewhere.

Those were the BEST parties....with homemade cake, not store-bought!

I don't even know if kids today know what "pin the tail on the donkey" is??:confused3 We used to LOVE playing that at birthday parties when I was a kid!

Just wanted to share with those of you who go back far enough about a magazine that I enjoy reading. It may not have my times in it, but it definitely has my parents times in it. It's called Reminisce magazine. The web site is http://www.reminisce.com/Default.asp?r_d=y . Nothing like reading back about days with no electricity and different correspondence during the wars. Most of the time it gets my brother's generation in there as well, but not quite mine. :goodvibes

I subscribe to the good old days http://www.goodolddaysonline.com/
love it :)

Is this the same movie where at the end the little guys dragged a screaming woman down the steps and into the fireplace? Man oh man, my bedroom was at the top of the stairs and the fireplace was at the bottom and I was scared outta my wits by that movie! It still creeps me out!!!

that's it!!!!!!!!!!!

Brut aftershave and Ambush perfume. I never could get into JadeEast. But I still get fuzzy feelings with the Brut:cloud9:

OMG that's funny I remember those *fragrances.* How about Canoe and Charley? :rotfl:

I remember that look exactly with the parachute pants and white capezios, too! I had a crush on a guy who dressed like that. What's your DH's name? LOL Don't forget the big hair!

Loved the big hair:love: The bigger the better!!!!

I remember all the cute boys in school smelling like Drakkar.;)

I remember my favorite "boy" smell, Polo. I still like it!

Do you remember Enjoli? I can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan...

And who didn't wear Love's Baby Soft?

Samantha

I think it was called Tickle...it's the one my Mom bought me when I started needing it....:rotfl:

Was the gritty soap Lava?

What was the name of that round shaver, on which you turned the dial for a new blade? Was it Flicker or something like that?? I don't think they make those anymore.

I always had to have a bottle of Love's Baby Soft. Does anyone remember Exclamation! I had to have that too.

About pants...anyone remember Z. Cavaricchi I had to have every color made. If you don't remember them watch an old rerun of Saved By The Bell they are the pants of choice for Slater

Exclamation perfume reminded me of another one...Tribe. I LOVED that stuff! And when I was a little younger, Electric Youth, the Debbie Gibson perfume, which was also the name of one of her albums. LOL

Anyone remember the summer when Coke had that contest where money would pop out of the can when you opened it?? I kept hoping I'd get one, no such luck. LOL

Tight rolling our jeans, then wearing 2 different pairs of socks together, in different colors of course, all slouched down. Our jeans were tight as we could stand them but our shirts were oversized LOL The Gap, Limited and Express were our retailers of choice, then County Seat was in for awhile.

Big bangs, spiral perms and scrunchies.

I remember the days of laying on the bed trying to zip up the way too tight jeans. What was I thinking?

My sister still teases me about my socks being different colors on different legs.

OMG I don't remember just 2 sock being different colors I remember wearing as many pair of socks that were different colors to match my top. Tight jeans baggy tops and the dreaded side ponytail.

Now I feel old..I was too old to get into those guys I was in love with New Kids On The Block....oh Jordan:love:

Does anyone remember Space Food Stick snacks? They came in Peanut Butter, Chocolate and Caramel.

I LOVED those!
