I booked our trip for March thru Expedia so I have not been able to request a room location yet. Can you tell me exactly what/when/where to fax request to. I don't even know where to begin with the fax--what important info do I put on it? TIA

I always put my request in with my reservation. Then I fax in a request about three days ahead of time. I usually write that we will be arriving on so and so date; that I have requested this section (we always ask for Casitas 4 or 5) and we are hopeful that they can meet our request. The fax number for the CSR is: Fax: (407) 939-1001
 
Does CSR offer any microwave or toaster options? We're ordering some groceries for our trip and it would be nice to toast a bagel or have hot water for oatmeal or something! LOL If they don't, I guess I'll just have to take those off my list.

Also, how big (or small) is the fridge? We'll be there for 7 days and I wanted to have adequate water and snacks on hand.

Lastly, what is the address for garden grocer to send my groceries to? You can send me a PM if it's not allowed on a public forum

i want to stay @ CSR the 1st of dec. and i want a water view! What is the best bldg to request? okay, i need help from you CSR experts!! bring it on!!

Thank you! The problem with booking with expedia is that I couldn't request anything. I am on the phone as I type with central reservations at Disney and they are telling me that because I booked with expedia that I can't make any requests. She has said that they cannot find my ressie and she said that it won't show up in their computer because I booked through expedia:confused3 That totally doesn't make sense to me so I asked to speak to her supervisor--I am on hold right now and hopefully they will be able to find my ressie. I will definitley call and/or fax CRS prior to my arrival! Thanks for all your help

Hi again! I posted these :confused3 a few posts back and was really hoping to find some answers from CSR "experts" Please Help me out I'd really appreciate it!

staying at CSR for the first time end of March and have a few questions:

1) Are there any Snack Credit options at the PM or CR menu's? (I looked at the menus Buzz posted (thanks) but didn't see the icon on CR's.)

2) Is there a way to find out if a convention will be going on during my stay ahead of time? The extra people don't bother me, but helpful in planning where we may eat lunch at CSR or in the parks.

3) Is there a toaster at the PM for you to use for your own personal food? My youngest DD has food allergies and intolerances. I may bring some mini bagels from home I know she can eat, wanted to know if I could toast them? Ok this may have been answered as a NO, just double checking....

4) Bus travel to the parks. Ok I understnad the pick-up order, just wondering if anyone has an approximate of how long it takes you to get up to MK and over to Epcot. WTIM what is the earliest bus pick-up?

5) At the pool, not that I think my 2 yr DD will go in the water... but just in case are there any child swim/life vests for guest use or rent? Just deciding if I should bring one from home or if I don't need it.

OK THANKS!!! there may be more... I'm a serious planner and usually plan 18-12 months out but we leave in 61 days and I just booked it last week:crazy2: I feel good about getting my touring plans together but love to have some more info about the resort :thumbsup2

Not sure how much help I'll be, but let me try:

1. I know there were snack credit items available when we were there last year. I used a snack credit numerous times for a cappucino at the Pepper Market and I used a snack credit for cereal at Cafe Rix.

2. Buzz has a list of conventions on his site. HOWEVER, this is in no way a complete list. This was a list of things he found on google and things other diser's have sent him.

3. Yes, there is a toaster at the PM that you can use.

4. Can't help on the buses--we rent and drive while there.

5. Yes, you can get a life vest at the pool (I've seen Buzz answer this a couple of times). We never used them for our kids as they were a little bit older the first time we went so I don't know the cost.

Hope this helps a little.
 
Are these what the standard rooms look like now, or is this some type of upgraded room? If this is standard, I think I just got a new favorite moderate resort :cool1: (though it looks so nice, it makes me wonder how long it will take for Disney to start charging more for CSR).


This is what all the new standard rooms will look like once they finish the rehab in October 2009.
 
And what building is closest the "main hall", because DD is a Type I Diabetic, I like to be able to have quick access to where I can get her juice or some carbs in an emergency. Any info will be helpful. :upsidedow


I would keep juice and carbs in your room for quick access- food areas aren't open 24 hours/day and no matter how close you are to the food area having those emergency carbs in your room will be quicker and more reliable.

We are booked at Pop for March 29- April 5th and after reading this, have been trying to change it to CSR, but they are booked :guilty:
Our 45 day mark is coming up around mid feb, and I have asked my TA to please let me know as soon as there is an opening, as its only about $300 more to switch :)
Should I trust my TA or is there anything I can be doing in the meantime? I assume that as the 45 day mark nears, there will probably be some cancellations at that time :confused3
Also, are there fridges in every room? As we are in a fridge swap at Pop.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

You can always try to call on your own. I think if you find a room and book it you can transfer it to your TA later. Yes, all the rooms have fridges. Good luck and I hope you are able to get a room!!
 
Hello, I am very curious about the CLub lvl. Read on the first page that it isn't being offered. Which is a shame because for us right now in the planning, that would be a huge asset to staying here. We were supposed to do CSR this past Dec, but because the Canadian dollar bottomed out, we went with AS Movies. ANd honestly, it wasn't a huge distance from ASmo driving wise. Question though, there is a McDonalds that we drove psat constantly on the buses. HOw far of a walk is it from CSR to that mcdonalds. I know it wasnt far from ASsports, but we were at the furthest end with movies. But I just can't remember the distance from CSR.
I would love for the Club lvl to come back. :(
