okay I'm a Married but single mother (explaining that would be a book!) with two little boys
DS4 who will be turning 5 at WDW 12/26
and DS2 who will be 3 when we are there

I have noticed that there are so many things for girls the BBB and tea parties1900 Park Fare CRT and Akershus (we are going to CRT though!) and I havent found many extras targeted towards boys except the Pirate excursion at GF and CR
so i'm wondering what else is there for boys-besides the parks of course

I would love to know this also, we have to 2 boys and are going in August.

I also have all boys and I thought the same thing but once you get there all those other things are just extra! My DS5 did do the Pirate Cruise at GF - and LOVED it! Also I got him an appointment at the BBB for the cool dudes hair style. It was only 7.50 but he got compliments on it ALL day. Beware that there are a bunch of girls in there becoming princesses but my son loved the attention afterwards! Also I bought pins (from ebay) and he did pin trading! All the meals we did were gender-nutral but no princesses and we all had an amazing time!! I also planned on doing pressed pennies but really we had no time - we were having to much fun :cool1:

Hope you have a great trip!!

Well, during Star Wars Weekends, they have Jedi training, which tends to draw in more boys than girls.

They also might be interested in Atlanta Braves Spring Training (though you might not be... lol).

I can't think of anything else targeted for boys... but as mentioned above, all of the "girl" things cost extra. I'm sure your boys will enjoy the theme parks.

If you haven't already, consider making more "boyish" ADRs, such as the new T-Rex, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Mickey's Backyard Barbeque, Donald's Breakfast Safari, and ESPN. Then there's always the classic Chef Mickey's.

I was thinking this exact same thing - they need more things geared towards little boys. I am taking my girls to the Bibbity Boppity Boutique & the Princess Tea Party, but I had a hard time finding something for son & hubby to do while we are having our "girl time."

My son will be 5 when we go - he said no way to the Pirate Cruise (refuses to go without mom/dad) - also said no to the Cool Dude hair style (he doesn't like people messing with his hair).

They have finally decided to go play mini-golf & then have ice cream in DTD - my son really seems to be looking forward to it.

He is also looking forward to the T-Rex Cafe - he saw pics posted on the DIS board and keeps talking about how cool it looks.

Our DS turned 5 when we were at WDW in November. His fun list included -

Pirate Cruise from GF
Fireworks Cruise from GF - he likes fireworks, but not the noise so this was perfect. It is expensive, but there is somewhere on DISboards to share cruises. This is what we did.
Breakfast with Mickey at Contemporary
Safari at AK - no lines, we got to go twice in a row, no waiting!!!
Hair cut at Barber shop on Main Street
Build-a-Dino at TRex
Lego store at DTD
Pressed pennies

Mom of two princesses and a pirate...so I know what you mean...
But, my son has a blast, too, no matter what!
Here's a few boy highlights for us:
* all non-princess character meals (Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale...)
* pressed pennies
* pirate loot (fill a bag - at DTD or the shop at the Pirates of the Caribbean)
* Lights, Motor Action car stunt show (DHS)
* Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin (MK) (all 3 will fit together in 1 car - only 2 can 'shoot')
* Pirates of the Caribbean (MK) (everyone will fit together)
* mini golf (he loves this so it's a big hit)
* riding water mice (might not work for 3)
* potato head parts
* Bone Yard (AK)
* Discovery Stations (AK)
* Astro Orbitor (MK) (all 3 of you should fit together)

This next trip, we are adding:
* Make your own light saber
* Jedi Training (not just during Star Wars Weekend, from what I've read)
* Toy Story Mania
* Indiana Jones stunt show
* Lego store
* Maybe Build a DIno...

Basically anything with Toy Story, Cars, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, pirates, and Peter Pan etc has been a hit...

Have fun!

this is the issue i have with the pirate cruise! I mean I know we have to let our kids be independent but its vacation and i'm going to let him go on his birthday I want to snap a million pics on the boat-- lol i guess i gave the reason for why parents can't go!

mine can't go to BBB for the cool dudes hair either that gel would be impossible to get out of his thick hair when its time , maybe if I braid his hair first it'll be okay though-hmmm its a thought!

I didn't know there was mini golf at DTD!! I planned on going there and then my travel agent told me that Disneyquest is an adventure that may be too big for my little ones so I scratched that and Trex, i'll put that back on my plans

I went with my 2 boys in April and October of last year. They had a blast. I think there are lots of cool things for boys to enjoy. Their favorite park is DHS followed by MK. Some of their favorites at each park were:

MK - Buzz, Goofy Barnstormer, POTC, peter pan, pooh, jungle cruise. They loved pulling the sword of out of stone behind Cinderellas Carousel. Rifle shooting arcade in Fronteirland

DHS - Star Tours, Jedi Academy, Indy Jones show, meeting power rangers, little ensteins, riding TSM and meeting Buzz/Woody. Meeting sorcerer Mickey and Incredibles.

AK - Safari, triceratops, playing at boneyard, carnival games in Dinoland, meeting characters in Camp Minnie/Mickey, Lion King show

Epcot - Test track, soarin, meeting characters at Character Spot, playing in the shark area around the aquarium.

DTD - exploring in Lego store and world of Disney

We got some great pictures. Got their faces put into young Star Wars jedi pictures (at the gift shop at Star Tours) and of them soaring over the castle with Mickey (Epcot Image Works shop)

For character meals, we didn't do anything with princesses, but did most others. They love Chef Mickey, Tusker House, H&V, Cape May Cafe, CP.

Have fun planning!

Both of my boys are more on the shy side. I know they would enjoy it but the problem would be getting past the part where they go by themselves without us. If they decided they don't want to go would we be able to get our money back?

Two boys here,also. Ages 6 and 7 now, started going at 4 and 5
Pirate cruise
Jedi Training
Buzz Lightyear
Power Rangers
Lights Camera Action!
Sword in Stone
Shooting arcade
Build your own light saber
Dinosaur dig at Animal Kingdom
Any playground where they can climb stuff...:)
Indiana Jones
(Pull the rope outside the entrance, to the left. It says "do not touch" but do it anyways. It's a joke)
Lego Land (hours and hours and hours)
TRex cafe
Arcades of any kind
Pizza Planet

My boys absolutely loved all the character meals. We did Chef Mickey (their fav) & Crystal Palace. They also loved the Hoop Dee Doo Revue...that surprised me on how much they enjoyed that. They also loved over at the Market Place the water that shoots out of the ground...they ran around in that forever! They also loved renting the little racing boats.:thumbsup2

We are going to be there when my 1st son turns 5, so I am also trying to find things to fill his day. He is a Buzz Lightyear fanatic, so I think we will spend the day at MK and do the Buzz ride and any other rides he wants to do. For breakfast, we are going to go to Chef Mickey's (provided I can get a reservation at the 90 day mark). Since we won't have the park hopper addition, we are going to do Hollywood Studios the day before and eat at Pizza Planet for dinner and go see the Pixar parade. :) I think just being in Disney will be so awesome for him that he probably won't care what characters he sees.

I have a very cute picture of our DSS with his face buried in the bosom of Ariel.

Boys do like princess! He was 12 at the time and loved princess dinner at Norway. Now our 5 year old couldn't care less about them. I asked if he wanted to see Ariel and he asked if he could play in the water.

Ok, reminder, bring swimsuit to park.

LOL!! That sounds like something my 4 year old would do
we're going to do Cinderellas Royal Table because i'm a girl lol its the one thing that I just have to do and I heard they give the boys swords during the dinner so they'll like that
are you saying bring swimsuits even to the regular parks?
