hi everybody,
i had just about forgotten about this discussion, and then it popped back up in my subscribed threads.
we have gotten through the gauntlet of vbs and camps, and now can relax a little bit this summer, although dd is off on mission arlington here in texas, she comes home on thurs. can't wait to hear her experiences, her first real time away on her own.
we have had many decisions among the kids at vbs and camps, counselors have been very busy visiting with them and making sure that they understand their choice. it is great to see Jesus work in these young lives.
our church will be be hosting a satellite sight for the willow creek leadership summit next month, hopefully i can go, dw has been to the last couple and raves about the speakers and ideas that they bring. if you have the chance, you might want to go to a location close to you.

can I join this thread? I grew up in a family that believed in Christ but was not overly spiritual. I have had quite a few hardships in my life such as losing both parents at early ages Dm 58 & DDad67 both had heart conditons,my husband to lung cancer at the age of 44 and most recently I had a house fire two weeks before christmas last year that destroyed my home. I also have had many blessing's through every trial in my life. The one constant has been the lord has always provided for my family and as they say trust the lord and turn your trouble's over to himand he will take care of you and show you the way.
