Booking The Beak & Barrel Aug. 20th at 7pm EST!!

Except that many of us determine our ultimate park days based on which day, if any, we manage to get a reservation that we really want. And most tickets no longer require park reservations, so that would be making it harder for APs to get reservations than other people. Unless you’re suggesting they bring back park reservations for all.
All tickets are valid for specific dates or you are required to make a park reservation.

As for those who have the ability to determine their park reservation based on what in demand ADRs they are able to get, they’d figure it out.

Point is moot anyway. Disney isn’t making that sort of IT investment LOL.

Dining is down for me right now...trying to book something else other than B&B and can't

Update:
It is now up again!!

I laughed so hard at the 7pm ET. It told me two things:

1) The Disney team doesn't want our good-natured attempts to denial-of-service the reservation system to impact the experience of everyone trying to do their morning 60+ day reservations, and/or do same-day adjustment/adds of reservations.

2) The senior Disney IT team really really really doesn't want to be woken up at 6:05am ET yet again with someone screaming in pirate from Disney Dining.

They are so incompetent …they probably meant A.M. but typed in p.m. .
Doubt it. It seems to strategically maximize how long it can be down vs inconvenience to guests. By 7pm the majority of dinner reservations are in place at WDW for day of. If the bot hits come raging again (as so the rumor went) and they have to take the whole system down, they will have 11 hours to get it back online before the all important 6am hour.

I mean I understand their tech could be better, but lets not put blame on people needlessly. Clearly they are doing it at night so the reservation system is available and works for people who are making their 60 day bookings in the morning.

Smartest move they have made in a while in my opinion. No need to hose the regular ADR guests for this insanity. I think they should do new drops this way in the future.

I hope all the dining g CMs will have their own supply of pirate punch on hand. It'll be a long evening.

what's the best approach to refresh? I've been doing it in the app (Thurs. morning) but had to add party size every time. same on the computer. Is that really teh only option?

I can refresh without changing party size, it stays the same. Hit the refresh and that's it. I'm using chrome on mackbook but it works on safari too. I'm not sure about the app. This is the link: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dine-res/restaurant/412358722/3. My last number is 3 in the address because I'm trying for 3 people. I changed it to 4 and it checked for 4 people. You might play around with it. And I'm not sure if this link will work when it's go time. But, I get the updated messages and no way am I closing
it haha.

I have been following along with sympathy for you all but I gotta ask. I have been on the waiting end of ADRs many times. I remember calling in at exactly 7AM in relentless pursuit of an elusive ressie that I HAD to have! But I don’t get it here. I know it’s new and shiny but at the end of the day isn’t it just a bar with a few snacks? Can you explain the fascination?
1) First real bar in the Magic Kingdom :drinking1Gosh I hope Villains Land gets one!
2) PIRATES 🏴‍☠️ Yo Ho Yo Ho ... Why is the rum gone?
3) HIGHLY THEMED right up there with Trader Sam's and Oga's
4) I'd say very appealing appetizers unlike Oga's awful offering
5) The one ADR in the MK I will try for every trip!

It will stay busy for the long term!
