So, here's the thing.

We'd like to stay at BC for our honeymoon. We're looking at Feb 26- Mar 4 2018. I believe FL resident rates won't come out until next year (checked on the mousesavers site), but ADRs should be made 180 days in advance, so when should we book? How does that work with the FL resident rate? Our previous trip in 2013 was planned one month before, so the rates were already available at that time.

We already have tickets (2 days) and we don't necessarily need any more, but is it still true that in order to add the dining plan, you need to add one park day to the reservation?

This will also be our first trip with FP+ so I have to do my homework on that.

What else should I know regarding the BC specifically? I've read the first few posts on the BC thread and used the touring plans site to familiarize myself with making specific room requests.

Any other tips? For honeymoons or in general? All information is really appreciated! Thanks!

I'm not sure about the FL resident rates, but I know with other discounts, you can make a reservation months in advance and call to apply the discount when one becomes available. You would need to keep an eye out for the discount and call ASAP when one comes out because availability is limited.

Yes, dining plan is only available with park tickets (unless you are a passholder).

Congrats on your marriage & honeymoon! BC is a great choice-- I am sure you will be very happy with it!

Anyone can now book a ticketless package, but you will have to call because it cannot be done online. It will follow all the rules of a package ($200 deposit, final payment is due 30 days before arrival date, penalties and fees are more stringent than a room only reservation).

I suggest the following:

1) Book the room category you'd like at BC now. That way, you have something booked and you are all set to make your ADR"s at 180 days prior which is coming up soon.

2) If you want the dining plan but no tickets, call the reservation in and ask for a "ticketless package" (room and dining with no tickets). Also have your honeymoon and any room requests noted at this time. If you'd like a full balcony at BC, (not all rooms have them) have that noted.

3). Keep your eyes open for discounts and be prepared to call in to have your reservation adjusted to the discount as soon as they come out. Also be prepared if your resort/room category is not included. If you will only go with a discount, be prepared to switch resorts and/or room categories if what you've booked isn't in discount inventory. If you do change your resort, your ADR's will remain intact.

4). Link your tickets to MDE so you can make FP+ 60 days prior.
