Hello,

I booked the first week of my vacation online today via the DVC site. Going for 16 nights and usually I call each day and add a day onto the reservation. Is it possible to add days onto my existing reservation online each day? As I'm in the UK and in work I can't call at opening each day like I have on previous vacations but I can access the internet.

I'm 7 months out and booking a 1 bed non hospitality house villa in October, do you think it will be available if I just call when I can book the full 16 nights? Or with it being close to Halloween could it be a problem?

Thanks

You can't modify and add or subtract days to your reservation online so you would need to call.

My best guess is that what you are booking would be available so you could just make one call when you could make the whole reservation for 16 days.

Thats no good news :sad2: I was hoping to add a day onto my vacation each day online instead of having to wait until I get home from work each day to call.

I have just tried to email to request to add a day to my vacation but I cant seem to find the request a reservation page any longer.

Does anyone know if this facility has been removed because of the instant online booking facility?

Thanks

Andrea

Another idea: Book each of your additional nights online as separate reservations (to be sure you get what you want)...then, when you have all those separate reservations made, you can make just one call, at your convenience, to MS to get them link them (altho now I think they call it putting it into one travel plan)...kind of cumbersome, but if you're worried about availability, it should work...

It may actually even be automatic...I booked a week's vacation last week...3 nights, then one on cash (W/L'ed on points), then the final 3...when the W/L came through the system automatically transformed my 3 reservations into one 7-day vacation w/just one confirmation number...

Calling from the UK (or from anywhere if you're in a job where making a phone call right when MS opens is a problem) is an issue...if you do it this way, you maximize your chances w/availability and have only one call, that you can make at your convenience, to "smooth it out."

Good luck!

As long as they are not required to exchange room keys each day - I made a ressie for my DD using 2 contracts it was 2 different ressies but linked and she had to exchange the rooms keys it was quick and painless but I would not want to have to do that each day

I was thinking that too. I was/am worried about availability so I've had to do a few "dances" and then when I called MS they were able to combine them for me. :thumbsup2 As long as they are the same category/same kind of room, it should be OK as far as they told me. I still have one online booking and one phone call to make. I also have 2 different types of 2 BR villas (one w/ 2 queens, and one regular) so that can't be combined unless my wait-list to make them all the same comes through. I sure wish we could add onto an existing ressie though. ;)

Thank you for the suggestions, I think that tomorrow I can add another full week as my arrival date is 13th October and on the 13th March I booked the first 7 days so tomorrow I think I can add a second week and on Thursday I think i will be able to add the final 2 nights to total 16 nights from 13th October. I think!!

I really need to get back into the swing of DVC planning, missing a year and trying not to think about not going to Disney has fully erased my DVC planning memory!!
