booking on Disney site is confusing

They ask you to put in depart and return date, but I phoned them instead and the price comes out cheaper as you are paying for actual nights staying there.
So depart on the 6th Dec and return home on the 13th, they count as 8 days, but when I phoned, the 6th to the 12th are the only nights you should be charged for.

I have found US sites often ask for date of departure as being the date you leave and check out not the last night of your stay, this means you put in the 13th as your date of departure but the last night is only the 12th. The 6th to 13th is 8 days but only 7 nights. That may be why things are not calculating properly when you look on line.

This website though is the UK one. They must be ripping a lot of people off by not putting in the number of nights you are staying.
