Booking free dining package and then changing dates?

What happens if I book the free dining package and then have to change my dates? I am trying to coordinate a training class, vacation and frequent flier tickets to get us to WDW one more time in August. And I need to do it on a budget so I'm a bit worried about change/cancellation fees.

Well, for free dining you have to book by June 4.
At the time of booking, a $200 deposit is due.
If you cancel at least 45 days in advance, it's fully refundable.
Shorter than that, there's a $100 cancellation fee.
REALLY close to the reservation (although, admittedly, I don't know the exact number of days), you lose the deposit entirely.

But if I book by June 4 and then, for example, on June 20, I find I need to change the dates of my trip, can that be done?

You will only be able to change the dates if they have the rooms available on the new dates you need. You have to remember that they set aside so many rooms for the special packages. I have a reservation for 8/13 thru 8/19 at Movies resort and called to add 1 more night and was told their were no standard rooms available. I was able to get a pref. room for the extra night, but not as part of the package, so no free dining for that day.

You may have more luck if you are staying at a deluxe or moderate resort, or if your reservations are in September.

I have added to our trip twice now - I was able to add a day at the end, and then I needed to add a day at the beginning. I didn't have any problems adding on the days. The only thing I am worried about is I haven't received a new confirmation in the mail showing the changes, and the website is still showing my original travel dates of 8/25-9/1. I am now going 8/24-9/2.
