Booking day for dvc member cruise tomorrow!!

12:30pm Eastern Update:
Cat T, 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D, 5A, 5B, 5C & 5D still available
Approx. 110 minute wait time

I'm in Wisconsin (north of Milwaukee) and still only getting a busy signal. I am giving myself till noon and then stopping. So frustrating!

Must be something about Wisconsin. We're near Green Bay and nothing but busy signals since 7 a.m.

Still on hold since 11:00 ish eastern time.

As for DVC trying another way, they did do that a few years ago but decided to put the cruisers who were on the ship or had cruised before on a different call in day and that really pissed off many people that I know.

I am now holding to waitlist after trying to call in for 3 hours - and waiting for 90+ minutes -

this has not been a fun DVC experience for me!

Now I'm really upset. I finally got to member services prompt. Hit 1 and received a fast busy. Come on DVC, I expect a lot more from your call center technology.

Holding for the past 46 minutes after calling for four hours on two different phones. :headache: Hopefully I'll get to talk to someone soon.

got fast busy too about 3 hours ago. not sure if i'm really on hold now. this time it has been 1 hr but i got no prompt or music just sounded like i connected. still trying with my cell

If I remember right, I think they tried to combine it with preferential treatment for members who have not gone on a member cruise. It caused a lot of angst for people who had been on previous member cruises which was big part of why it failed.

Seems like if they would have people express interest and then randomly select members and inform them of their booking window which could be spread out to reduce wait time, it would easier on their operations team as well as members wasting all morning on the phone.

Just curious if location matters as far as getting through the phone system. Has anyone from the midwest had any success?

Unfortunately, there is no easy way for this. With this larger ship, it apparently has drawn even more members desiring to book it for the Member Cruise.

What I would propose would be to have two Member Cruises per year. Perhaps back to back or even six months apart. That would sure alleviate some of the frustration of member who are trying to book today.

Still hoping for everyone here to get on...

Member website says:
If you receive a fast busy signal please hang up and try your call again.
:sad2:

that exact thing happened to me. i could have cried, luckily my niece continued on and about 15 minutes later got through on my cell phone.

been on hold since 11:07am this morning .... still got music and the odd interuption saying it may be longer then normal wait times as of 12:30 cat 5D and above are available

A voice - a real person but I am not booking those categories that are available - getting on waitlist if it happens, it happens.
