I believe they tried a lottery system one year and it didn't work.
If I remember right, I think they tried to combine it with preferential treatment for members who have not gone on a member cruise. It caused a lot of angst for people who had been on previous member cruises which was big part of why it failed.
Seems like if they would have people express interest and then randomly select members and inform them of their booking window which could be spread out to reduce wait time, it would easier on their operations team as well as members wasting all morning on the phone.



Been calling with 3 phone lines since 8 AM and finally got through to the music wait time. Only one problem - cell phone battery is going dead. Please hurry cast member, my luck they will say "welcome home" as my phone shuts down with no power.
I just got done making my reservation. 2 hrs and 8 minutes. The battery held up. Even got the room and category i originally wanted. Can't wait till cruising day!!!
. I don't have anybody else around that can sit on hold for me. What is the current hold time...anybody got an idea?
