Booking Airline seperate??

Has anyone had any success booking there flights separate from booking thru disney????

I have never booked my airfare through Disney, as I've always been able to snag better flight deals on my own. It has never been a problem.

I didn't book mine because I didn't want to fly air trans. I got the same flight times and lower price through Northwest on Expedia...lots of the Air Trans options on Disney were connecting flights as well. We got non-stop on NWA.

I was able to get a VERY nice price with Southwest by booking it separate. By doing so you are able to make sure you get the BEST price for you and your family.

I go so far as to book 4 people one way. I've been able to get Dings with Southwest that if I had round trips I've would be out of luck. Since we don't always get boarding # together I just make sure mine is first and save the seats. It's not easy you have to open multiple tabs and cancel your flight for a Ding

I've always booked my tickets on my own and not thru Disney. I find better deals that way.

It won't, simply call ME and give them your flight info and they'll send you your tags and packet When I got my packet, it didn't have my return info on there...I called and here my airline changed the flight # from the original I gave them...so sometimes you have to call them back...not a big deal...I booked mine like 3 months in advance so not shocked that happened.

Add me to the list of people that never book through Disney. Our rates have been lower every time booking directly with the airline.

Now that I'm part of the DVC I have to book it myself. Never had a problem booking thru Disney. I hope it goes as smooth doing it myself. So... Weds. are a good time to call to get a good rate???
