Booked SWA..curious As To What Happens If You Miss Flight

i have my air all booked up for our may 2005 DCL- just wondering if by some strange reason we don't make it to the airport in time and we miss our flight ...how big of a mess will we be in? plus will it cost us big extra $$$

They will put you on the next available flight. They generally do not charge you for this. My son and his travel party missed their flight and they put them on standby for the next flight at no charge.

Most airlines have an unofficial "flat tire" rule. If you're less than 2 hours late they'll put you on the next available flight for no extra charge BUT you said you're going on a cruise. No guarantee your family will be able to get on a flight that will get you there in time to board. Allow enough time to get to the airport or fly the night before.

this is for the flight home- we are coming in the day before our cruise- we are suppose to disembark the cruise by 8:30 am & our flight is at 12pm- i was just concerned that i was cutting it close but everyone on the cruise board assures me that i will have plenty of time

You will DEFINATELY have plenty of time. We got off the ship at 8:30 and were at MCO by 9:45. We also made a stop to check our bags in, since our airline offered that service at the airport. The only problem you could encounter is not getting an A boarding pass if you don't print it on board. You can go to the Internet Cafe and do it. They charge 75 cents per minute and there is an additional charge for printing. If you don't want to do that, you can usually disembark as early at 7:30, so you theoretically could be at MCO around 8:30, and checking in for your flight.
