Booked BWV Standard View

Woo-hoo! Just got off the phone with MS after booking a BWV Standard View 1B for next May. I actually called earlier in the week to see how availability looked and was told that there were "pleanty of rooms left." I've read that the 1Bs are often the last category to completely book, so I don't know if that availability extends to the Studios and 2Bs or not.

But, anyone considering those low-point rooms for late-April / early-May should definitely give MS a ring.

Wow, that's terrific! I thought SV was as hard to book as BW. Actually, which is statistically (Math teacher, can't you tell?) harder to book? I know I tried a 1 BR BW view at exactly 7 mos for January and had to waitlist.

i've been able to book a boardwalk view for august when there were no standard view rooms available.

I assume there are more SV rooms than BW View. AFAIK, the entire side of the resort that faces the parking lot is Standard View. Probably not as many rooms as the PV side due to the little tributaries that branch off to surround the pool areas, but still more than the number of rooms that directly overlook the Boardwalk.

I didn't even ask about BW View because my goal was just to save a few points this time.

Of course, that doesn't really answer your question of which is harder to book. I have no idea of how member demand is split between the higher point Boardwalk View rooms vs. the lower point SV rooms.

We stayed at BWV last May and the trip was actually booked on only 4 or 5 months notice. When I called, I was actually offered a BW View 1B, but lost it when we hesitated a couple of days trying to decide between a Studio and 1B. My guess is that the BW View was offered on such short notice due to a cancellation rather than slow bookings.

I think more people are going for boardwalk view now that it's guaranteed. I booked standard view the past 3 years because I didn't want to gamble extra points to get a boardwalk view. Now that it's guaranteed, I booked it for December.

I booked BW Standard View - one bedroom a coupld of months ago - they had what I needed accept for the last 3 days. After calling a few times - I got the SV for the whole trip.

I got a SV 1 bdr for April 26-May 4 last week and was also surprised they had one available, but very happy.

UGH! I sure hope the luck holds out for us!!! I'm hoping to book a std. view 1BR at BWV for four days in the last week of April. I have pretty much resigned myself that it won't happen...I guess I can still hope, eh?! LOL But I sure won't get my hopes up too high. Darn...I really need my MS Number from the resale that just closed today!!!!

Hang in there! We called exactly at the 7 mo. window and were able to get SV at BWV the week before Easter. I thought that would be next to impossible but it wasn't. Good luck!
