Booked '09 under '08 rate...question please

I had done this to make sure the room type that I wanted was held. The room type / dates I want is still available online. I'm thinking I'm just going to book an '09 ressie online, then call to cancel the one I booked with the CM, rather than cancelling/converting it to an '09 ressie. I just prefer to enter flight info, etc myself, rather than read it to someone else to type. Any reason you can think of that I should not do this?

If you booked a 2009 room before the rates were out, you have a room only reservation. If you are just going to keep a room only reservation, there is no need to do anything. Your room is still booked and you will get notified as to what the real rate is. You don't need to convert it to a 2009 rate. If you want a package, then you do need to make a change, but it still seems easier to just call and do it.
