Boo To You and The Castle Suite Too! – A September 2013 TR

I'm staying :)
:thumbsup2

Mostly lurking, but loving every update! I'm subbed, and staying for the rest. :)
Glad you came out of lurking to say hello! Thanks for staying!

Oh wow, that is a great gift!! I'm sure Carson is going to be SO excited! Where did you find it?

Oh I'm so sorry that you guys were rushed out of the castle suite. That really stinks  But maybe a longer drawn out goodbye would have made you even more sad?

I'm so glad that your family got to experience the castle suite! You have so many wonderful memories that most people only dream of pixiedust:

And what a wonderful breakfast with the princesses. CRT was one of our favs! My kiddos found those mice when we were waiting in line meet Cinderella too and they were so excited to point them out to her. Darn, I didn't think to take a picture of them though. And how cute that Snow White remembered seeing Alexa in the elevator!

Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your day in MK. (At least I know that the rain is going to stop.... ;))
I got the Knex Space Mountain and Dumbo set on Groupon. It was a pretty good deal. He loves Knex and I know he will especially love this one being Disney.
It was a little disappointing to be rushed out of the suite, but you are right the memories we have are so awesome and everything during our stay was perfect! No complaints here!
We also love CRT...something about eating in the castle is so special. You can borrow my pictures of the mice if you want :) I can't wait to see what your kids wear to this meal!
And yes, thank goodness the rain did finally stop!

Great update and I will continue following along for the rest of your trip :)
:thumbsup2
Sounds like you had an awesome stroke of luck here...what a great experience!

It's been almost 2.5 years since our last trip and we've had a ton of huge life changes in our world...we are all jonesing for a trip to Mickey's House but reading this put a smile on my face...thank you!
We did get extremely lucky...still can't believe it happened to us! I'm glad my report makes you smile. Thanks for reading along!

Just joined in on your trip report and I am loving it! I am starting to plan our next trip for December right now and you are get me excited!
Thanks for joining in! I would love to go to Disney sometime for Christmas. Have fun planning!

Oh my gosh. I hadn't realized they changed up Ariels dress now too. That is the first picture I have seen of it. I will need to go look for more now.

What a fabulous stay. And I wouldn't have been able to sleep either.

I would've been annoyed about them asking us to be packed up before breakfast though. did you tell them that they told you after? I would've probably forgotten things too if I had to rush.

What a fabulous fairy tale you got to live!:wizard:
I like Ariel's new dress. They also had an adorable new Ariel dress for girls at the BBB.
I don't mean to complain about being rushed out of the suite because everything was so wonderful. I was just surprised they expected us to leave because I had been told differently. The morning guide was nice, but nothing like the guides from the day before.....who went above and beyond to make every little thing awesome for us! We were so used to being so spoiled it took us by surprise. I did tell her that we had been told after breakfast, but she didn't change her mind. :confused3All and all it was a minor little thing in an overall wonderful experience!

I'm sad with you that your Castle Suite experience was over! Seems like they kind of rushed you out, and that is truly a bummer. I wonder if they had another family coming in they needed to be ready for or something?? Still, seems like they could have let you savor it for at least a few more minutes!

The princess breakfast looks wonderful. How sweet that all of the Princesses knew you were the Royal Family! I'm sure that was a really wonderful experience for Alexa. :goodvibes

Can't wait to read how the rest of your magical trip was!
They did have another family checking into the castle that night. Actually it was another Dis Member, she posted prior to the trip about winning and we chatted briefly. Anyway, I bet that's why we needed to leave. They said they normally don't have someone staying back to back.
The breakfast was so fun! It was a wonderful experience for Alexa. But I could tell even Carson was having fun. :)

I'm still here and will follow along with you to the end too! What an unbelievable experience for your family and you have the pictures to remember it all by.

Very cool that Aurora remembered the "Tinkerbell from the elevator"!
I'm glad you're here till the end! I thought it was awesome Aurora remembered Alexa from the elevator.

Wow, what an amazing experience - both the Castle Suite AND the Halloween Party with all the VIP access. :goodvibes Thank you so much for posting all the photos and details, it's so neat to hear about it! Can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip! :)
Thank you so much! Glad you are here!
It may seem funny to be relieved that your family was on its own again, but I totally get it! You shouldn't have to feel "on" on vacation. Can't wait to hear what happens next!
Yes, I'm glad you understand. The VIP experience was unbelievable, but we were looking forward to some family time. :goodvibes
Your breakfast looks like it was so much fun!

How very un-Disney like at the very end there. That was kind of a bummer! But the rest of the experience makes up for it I am sure.

I am sticking around for sure, I can not wait to hear about the rest of your trip. I am sure the magic isn't over yet!
The breakfast was very fun. It was a little disappointing to have to be rushed out, when we were expecting to get to come back, but in the end it was fine. We had an awesome time in the suite. Thanks for sticking around.:)
What a magical night and morning. Can't wait to read about the rest of your magical trip. :wizard:

It was very magical. Thank you!:thumbsup2

I don't think I'll be back to update until after Christmas, so I just wanted to wish all my new Dis-friends a Merry Christmas! Thank you so much for following along with my trip report.

Also, some of you may already know about this but I wanted to share with you about a sweepstakes that is currently going on for a trip to Disney. It includes a stay in Cinderella's Castle Suite. It would be amazing if one of you had the same experience as our family. You won't win if you don't enter!

http://abcfamily.go.com/specials/25-days-christmas/sweepstakes/disney-park-sweepstakes/index

Not sure if this link will work, if not go to the ABC Family website. You only have until 12/25/13 to enter! Good luck!

Playing catch up!

What a wonderful experience....too bad they rushed you out though. Looks like breakfast was a lot of fun!

Merry Christmas!

Jill in CO

Merry Christmas to you as well!!!! I LOVE that picture of your kids with Santa. Just adorable. :)

I was a little behind, read the update but then never had a chance to reply till now. Anyway thank you so much for sharing all the amazing pictures of the Castle Suite. Love all the little gifts that you had waiting for you when you got back to the Castle that night after the party. :goodvibes

So sad that you got rushed out of the Suite that morning and didn't get to grab the few souveniers that you wanted and also that with all the rain you didn't get the pictures in front of the castle. All in all I know that you had an amazing experience but it is a little sad that all the pixie dust came to such an abrupt end. :(

I know what you mean about thinking about seeing if you could go out to the park after everyone was gone, I problably would have felt the same way. :)

So happy that you had a wonderful experience that CRT though. I am sure that eased the sting of the castle stay being over. Looks like you all had a nice time and the kids really enjoyed meeting all the princesses.

We are going to be doing dinner at CRT and the kids are having the BBB experience in the morning. Aurora to become a princess and Jack to get the knight package. I am really looking forward to that and seeing all your pics just made me even more excited.

Anyway I will totally be following along on the rest of your report. Looking forward to the next update following the holidays. :)

Merry Christmas! Love the picture!:santa:
Thank you!

The turn down part of our castle stay was my favorite! It was so wonderful!

It was a little disappointing to be rushed out of the castle, but overall it did not ruin the magic of the suite. And CRT was awesome. We did dinner one other year and loved it. I think dinner is better because of dessert :-) Alexa and Carson both had fun with the Princesses. I'm sure your kids will love the BBB and CRT. :goodvibes

I last left off with Cinderella’s Royal Table Breakfast ending our stay in the Castle Suite. We had the whole day to explore the Magic Kingdom ahead of us. We had gotten so much done the night before during MNSSHP, that it felt good to just be able to take our time and do what we want. We had a FP+ for Enchanted Tales with Belle, so we headed that way. Carson had to stop and see if he could pull the sword from the stone and no such luck.

Due to the rain, the BBB was handing out these cute little rain bonnets, so their hair wouldn't get messed up. Ever since I can remember, my Grandma has carried one of these in her purse and will get it out in the rain or snow. Somewhere along the line, someone (most likely my brother) called it her helmet. :rotfl2: So I had to take a picture of Alexa in her “mini helmet” to text to my Mom to show my Grandma. Grandma loved it!

I did Enchanted Tales with Belle with Alexa during our February trip. During that time the boys decided to skip it to ride some of the mountains again and I think they both regretted it after Alexa came out so excited. She just loved it! This time the boys were not going to miss it. Alexa was proud to explain everything about it because she had been to it before and they hadn't. With Fastpass+ we got right in, which was nice because that line is always long. But the downside of FP+ is we didn't get to see the inside Maurice’s cottage which was a little disappointing. Alexa remembered Belle's measurements on the wall and wanted to see if she grew from last time. We were lead right into the room with the magic mirror. The special effects of the magic mirror are so awesome!

Then we headed into the Wardrobe room. Alexa was picked as Chip and Carson as Maurice’s Father.

The play was adorable and the kids both did a good job with their parts. It was fun to watch them interact with Belle. You could tell they were very proud to be included. These experiences are so unique.....where else can you say that you walked through a magic mirror and acted out the story of Beauty and the Beast with Belle herself!?!

We had FP+ for The Little Mermaid and Barnstormer later, so we decided to leave the new Fantasyland for now. The kids were anxious to get back on Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain, so we headed that way. Of course, we couldn't go by Small World without stopping for a ride. It was a walk on! (Did I mention how much we loved September crowds?) We even got our own boat. The kids were excited to sit in the front and I was excited that I could take pictures without bothering anyone.

Because we had our own boat the kids got a little comfortable and a little silly! But we had fun singing along. It is a good memory!

When we got off, the rain had let up enough we could take off our ponchos!

I really got behind with the holidays. Haven't even done any of my own updating on my TR.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you an early Happy New Year!!!

All caught up now. Your stay looked like such an awesome experience. Thank you for sharing it all with us.

We have never done the Castle meals. They have always seemed so $$$$. And my DD was never really into the princesses. And DS would have been mortified. ;)

Looking forward to the rest of your adventures.

I'm so sorry you were rushed out of the suite and that you didn't get the chocolate carriage - such a shame!!

How cute both your kids were chosen to act with Belle, it looks like they did a great job :goodvibes

Hi Kristy! I'm finally catching up after being back from our last trip and having craziness at work.

Just WOW! So many magical and wonderful experiences not the least of which was to actually wake up in the castle! Bummer for the rain since that would have been a great photo op in the early am. How exciting to see the park being prepped for the day before any guests were through the gates.

The princesses were great with the kinds including remembering your little Tink in the elevator. Nice!

I'm almost ready to post my Castle Suite update but honestly it is silly in comparison to your amazing experience! I definitely would have left with happy tears as well. Those memories will last a lifetime!

Your Christmas photo of the kids and Santa is wonderful. I hope you had a blessed Christmas and look forward to a happy New Year! :)

Thanks, we did have a wonderful time over the holidays! Hope you did as well!
Yes, our castle stay was so amazing! I'm glad you enjoyed reading along.
We love CRT, but it is expensive! We've done it twice...once during free dining and this time included in our prize. I think it's awesome to have the experience of eating inside the castle at least once, even if you're not really that into the princesses. My DS also rolls his eyes about going to a princess meal, but he's all smiles when they come around to the table. I think he secretly enjoys the attention he gets from them!

Yes, being rushed out was a minor little disappointment during our wonderful stay. The girls the night before said they would box it up the chocolate carriage for us the next morning. We would have never taken it home with us on the plane, but it would have been nice to enjoy for the few more days we were at WDW.
The kids loved ETWB and I thought they did a great job!:goodvibes

Hello! We loved every little bit of our castle stay. It was amazing to wake up INSIDE the Magic Kingdom INSIDE Cinderella's Castle. :lovestruc The rain put a little damper on our pictures that morning :( And (spoiler alert) we did get pictures taken in front of the castle later that day twice and both sets are missing from my photopass :worried: But overall we had an almost perfect trip.
I can not wait to read your Castle Suite update! NO WAY will it be silly!! Any way you can experience that Suite is awesome! And how magical it came to you as a total surprise!pixiedust:
We did have a wonderful Christmas and New Years! Hope you did as well!:santa:

I love getting pics of the kids trying to get the sword out of the stone, even if it doesn't happen for them it's cute to see them try. :)

We have a FP+ for ETWB and I hoping that my kids will get picked to be part of it but even just seeing it will be exciting. I was there when they were building all of New Fantasyland but this will be the first time we actually get to experience it.

I love the little rain bonnet BBB gave Alexa to protect her hair. My grandmother always had one with her and I can always remember her pulling it out of her coat pocket to wear whenever it started raining. :)

My grandma used to wear a "helmet' too. We always laughed at it too. :rotfl2:

The pics of the kids doing Enchanted Tales are just precious. Paxton was too shy to participate this past year, and I really wish he would have! They look like they are having so much fun in the photos. I love the one of Carson & Belle, he looks so laid back like he does this all the time.

I'm glad the rain let up once you got off of Small World! Being in the rain in Disney is better than a pretty day at home, but it still stinks to walk around in a wet poncho all day. :thumbsup2

You may see some more sword and the stone pictures later in this report....he just can't resist.
I think you will love ETWB and they try their best to give all kids a part if they want. It's so exciting to see the New Fantasyland for the 1st time!
Too funny your grandmother also had a bonnet!!
My grandma used to wear a "helmet' too. We always laughed at it too. :rotfl2:
Another Grandma with a Helmet! Must be a Grandma thing!:rotfl2:

The kids loved participating in ETWB. I bet Paxton will love it in a few years. At least now he's seen it so he'll know what to expect next time. Carson cracks me up with the Princesses. He always rolls his eyes about it then he gets that big smile around them. He secretly loves it!
I don't mind the rain every now and then, but it would not let up for the first 2-3 days of our trip and it was starting to get annoying LOL. But you are so right....rainy day at Disney is still better than any day at home.

We were headed towards Splash and Big Thunder Mountain, but decided to stop and take a restroom break and the new Tangled area. This area is so beautiful for a bathroom! I had to take a few pictures!

We checked out the wait times once we got to the mountains. Splash was a walk on but BTMRR was showing a 20 minute wait. We decided to get a fastpass for BTMRR and the timing should work out for it to be up by the time we got off Splash. I took our tickets and went over to the fastpass machine where I was greeted by a CM. He took my tickets and put them into the machine, which gave an error message. He looked at me and asked if I had used these tickets to enter the park today. I wasn't thinking and told him that we used our magic bands but these tickets are linked to the bands. He tried again and received the same error. He looked at me sternly and asked again if I was sure I used these tickets to get in?!? That's when I realized he was right, I hadn't used those tickets to get in, in fact I hadn't used any tickets today!!!! I explained to him that we stayed in the castle suite, so we didn't use any tickets today. He looked at me even more confused! I had my wallet open, so I took out our Castle Suite keys and showed him. He was like "OH WOW! that explains it". :rotfl2: We had a good laugh and he gave me 4 fastpasses.
After sarcastically explaining to Brandon that we were almost kicked out of the park for sneaking in without tickets, we were off to Splash Mountain. We walked right on to Splash. We all have our favorite rides/attractions, but I think this is our favorite ride to do together. You can tell in these smiles, we love it!:lovestruc

Our ride photo cracks me up....I was trying to cover my hair with the poncho. Not sure why it mattered?!? The Florida weather and my curly hair do not mix!

Once we got off Splash we had about 2 minutes for our BTMRR fastpass. Perfect timing! Of course I used those 2 minutes to take a picture of the kids in front of the ride.

The ride was fun! Afterwards the kids wanted to stop and wave at the other riders as the trains went by.

We also had to watch Splash Mountain for a bit before we left the area.

Next we made our way back towards the New Fantasyland. Along the way, I couldn't help but stop and take a picture of the Castle Suite Window. Hello lovely Castle Suite! :worship:It's only been a few hours, but we are missing you already!! I'm sure about now they were busy getting it ready for the next lucky family to enjoy!:wizard:

We watched Mickey's Philharmagic next. I don't have any pictures, but we enjoyed it and there was no wait!

Then Carson had to try the Sword and Stone AGAIN! No luck, but it's always fun to try.

We had about 15 minutes before our FP+ for Little Mermaid, so we decided to take our time walking through the New Fantasyland. Here is what the Mine Train construction looked like on 9/25/13.

The Beast's Castle.

Next we checked out Gaston's. I was hoping we could meet him, but we didn't see him out, so Carson did this instead.

Snack Time!popcorn::
Alexa LOVES Dumbo, so she just HAD to have the Dumbo popcorn bucket. We caved and let her have it. It is pretty cute and she has been playing with it since we came home. Her babies have been on many Dumbo rides in that thing. :rotfl:

Carson went for the basic fruit bar.

Before getting on The Little Mermaid Ride, we stopped to get the kids a few photopass pictures. The Sebastian magic shot is adorable!

We were within our FP+ time so we headed to ride The Little Mermaid! I know there are some mixed reviews regarding this ride, but we enjoy it. I'm a huge Little Mermaid fan so I especially love the music and the story!!

Next we headed to Storybook Circus! We miss Mickey and Minnie's house, but how cute is this area?!? I think they did a great job here redoing this area.:thumbsup2 Right when we entered we stopped to watch a bunch of clowns performing. They were hilarious! This just enhanced the Circus atmosphere!

We had a FP+ for Barnstormer which wasn't quite ready yet, so we decided to go on Dumbo. Alexa was so excited to take her stuffed Dumbo on the Dumbo ride! When we entered the tent the CM told us there was no wait, but the kids wanted to play, so we let them.

Alexa had fun showing her Dumbo around his home. She wanted me to take pictures of him and her everywhere. Here are a couple.

Even Carson wanted to get in on the Dumbo picture taking!

After letting them play for awhile we decided it was time to ride, so we turned in our pager and headed outside.

09/25/13- What a great day!! (that was the first day of our trip) I remember looking forward to that day for so long! Now I can't believe that it was over three months ago!

That's too funny about the tickets. Umm Sir, no we did not use these tickets to enter the park, we were ALREADY IN the park! haha :rotfl2:

Glad you guys got on Big Thunder since it was down later in the day.

That Sebastian magic shot IS adorable!! We missed that one!

Looks like you guys had a great day in MK. You got a ton accomplished!
