It looks like you had a wonderful day. I love that you and your dd got to have some girl bonding time. Makes for a wonderful day.
Melissa -
I apologize. I think this post may end up in between your mega update. I just wanted to comment how much I am enjoying your update and I love all the pictures of your duaghter. She looks so cute. It is so nice that you are getting to spend some time with each other. And $7 for the cab certainly does sound like a deal!
Glad you had a nice morning and got to enjoy a relaxed cup of coffee with all the kiddos.
Such a sad story about the little girl and her dog. That is a real bummer! The only thing worse than putting a pet to sleep is having it done while you are away.![]()
Wow!! What a mega update! It sounded like a wonderful day--shopping and spending time with your daughterYour pictures are beautiful--especially SE! What a sad story about the little girl and her dog. It made me misty
You are getting so close to your next trip! You must be super excited and you should definitley get that doll in China! My last trip I saw my very own lunchbox that I used to have so I found one on eBay!

Super update!
I love it that you spent some precious time with your darling daughter! What special memories you are making!
Love your pictures especially of the kids and of course Spaceship Earth!
Can't wait to see how the move went!
What a wonderful MEGA update!
It seems like you did SO much in one day! How wonderful to have that alone "girl" time.
Bummer about the sweaty, drunk, crowded WS. CP commented on it too. I don't recall that in '04 when we were there but it's entirely possible we were never there on a weekend night.
Congrats on your new niece!
What a wonderful update!
I love your mother and daughter shopping time at DTD!Poor girl who had to find out about her dog! I think it really depends on your children on when to tell them would be best. I think I would have felt like people lied to me if it was kept a secret from me. So the girl might have had the chance to feel like she was part of the family decision to put the dog to sleep!
Thanks for the Living with the Land pictures! Unfortunately it will be closed when we are there, I am a bit sad about this. While it isn't my favourite ride in Epcot, it is pretty cool and very special. It is somehow the ultimate Epcot ride to me.
OK - the one thing that strikes me most is Taylor Hicks doing the Eat to the Beat concert series!I know I shouldn't laugh, but Taylor was the contestant that I felt was the least worthy of winning AI. (Him and Rubin S because he just sweats WAY too much!) I just could never understand it!
In fact, I almost stopped watching AI after that season because I couldn't believe he won! And We KNOW what Simon would say about him now! The amazing thing was that Simon never said it during that season.
Your evening in the world showcase sounds like fun, but the large, drunk crowds would have been annoying to me as well. Especially when you are trying to negotiate all that with your kids. And to top that off, you couldn't even get new the GGS machine! Now that is just wrong! I do love some of the distance shots you got of Spaceship earth and the world showcase. Very pretty!
That is so sweet that your DD bought her friend an Italian Mickey doll. How very thoughtful!
I really enjoyed your mega update. Overall, a great day!
Great update!!!
Glad I had a free morning to enjoy it...and not have to rush through!!
The day with DD sounds wonderful! I'mreally looking forward to spending 1on1 time with Allison in Feb too!
Booo to drunk sweaty people!
Yay for double digit dancing!!
Paula
Happy New Year! I love your post about the DIS. I feel the same way.
So....we aren't in any of the same places at the same time!
But, I'm thinking we should exchange cells if you want and we can touch base on the 14th and 15th to see if we can manage a short meet. What do you think?
Your plans look great!!!
Especially the rest day with massages! *DROOL*
Sorry for jumping in so late, but when I saw you were gonna be there the same week as us, had to hop on over !
Happy New Year!
Woo hoo for single digits!! Your plans look great!
Tracy
Your plans took great and it's cool that you are going into it knowing that it could all get scrapped and being ok with it, I think it helps if you have that mind set up front and aren't "too" attached!
Fun fun fun! and SOOOO soon!
Hey Melissa,
Your post about the boards...just the way I feel......sometimes the world can be large and impersonal and it is nice to know that you have people out there wishing you well and hoping for the best for you...
and speaking of which...I can't believe your trip is in a week...
how did that happen so soon? I remember when you just started talking about it...wow it doesn't feel like that long...
Big Congrats on a new niece...
Love girl time at Disney...sounds like the two of you really had fun...Em is huge TrenD fan...and I do love that tshirt...(I think as a b-day surprise I'm going to take her there and let her do a mini shopping spree...
)
I love you itinerary and yeah for pedis and massages for you and your sister...(I zoned right in on that...)
btw i'm with you on the whole dog thing...I don't see how it would have made a difference waiting till they got home to tell the child about the dog...at least they would have had the trip first...![]()
Happy New Year!
I think your itinerary looks great - I envy you the rest day!! But then I know that I would not be able to rest at WDW!! I do afternoon breaks and those are difficult enough some times! I can't stand being there and not be at the parks...
I think you have the right attitude, especially with a large group: have a plan but be prepared to be flexible! The most important thing is that you have fun!
I will keep my fingers crossed for your that the weather warms up a bit! I would rather have those 70s for late January as well, please!![]()
