Bon Voyage Breakfast.....

I feel like it should be another couple though instead as a backup. Like maybe Jasmine and Aladdin.
If there is a substitution, it's likely due to one "character" being ill or unavailable so, I understand the need for single character replacements. However, I too would prefer another couple. Aladdin and Jasmine are an easy choice, but boring since you can meet them elsewhere. Anna and Kristoff would be great, and a good compliment to Rapunzel/Flynn.

Um did you see those flounder pancakes. I can't even imagine my husbands reaction if we spent 20$ for our kids to get those!! I would expect much better than that! I mean the 2 waffles are bad enough! Thise just look pathetic.

The kids' meals are all incredibly tiny b/c they are probably trying to keep the calorie content close to a kid's needs. With a starting pastry and a yogurt parfait (or even a fruit bowl with cookie), a kid would not need all that many more calories (if any) in their breakfast.

However, it does demonstrate how much you are paying for your characters and the limited space and not the food, since empty carb pastries and melon/pineapple fruits are not that expensive (the yogurt option might be the most expensive part to order of all the "part of the meal" sit-down stuff before the entrees b/c yogurt can be a little pricier)...

You aren't just paying for the breakfast though. That is what is so hard to quantify to some. That $20 is really more like 10 for the characters and 10 for the meal.

We went yesterday and really enjoyed it. Comparing it to something like Garden Grill with Chip n Dale, it's a total bargain.

They brought us a second pan of the baked goods, and the portions worked well for us. Kids get the fruit or yogurt too.Our 11 year old girl had way too much to eat (but of course she's an adult at Disney). My wife had the polenta and enjoyed it while I appreciated the calzone. The calzone wasn't too much sausage, unlike like the blogger suggested, but maybe they scaled back.

The couples did enter together and stopped by during a song very briefly together. Then they came by individually and were funny and interactive. Our server was great too.

He said they probably were going to lift the restriction of capacity by the end of the week because it's going very well.

Portions looks small. I will probably cancel. I know some of the price is for the characters. When I pay that much money fo breakfast I want to be full. I usually just eat a granola bar for breakfast. So it's a lot more than I usually eat. But when I'm paying that much I want to be full.

Did the characters actually sign autographs? Whenever I see that little autograph card with all 4 signatures it makes me nervous that they won't.

Kid portions are small, but every review I've read says the adult portions are hearty (especially the Shipwreck calzone). Plus you are getting pastries and fruit or yogurt.

@Cinderella94 - yes, they will sign, too

Did the calzone have ricotta cheese like a traditional calzone or more just melted cheeses ? It looks odd in the review photo.

Are you talking about adult portions? Because every picture and every review I've seen..they seem to be big portions and pretty good at that.

Yes adult portions. I can eat a lot when I want to.

Small? Both the reviews above written by men said the portions are enormous, and the pictures back that up. Kenny the Pirate also said the portions are extremely large.

I can't wait to go. I'm stalking the reservations to get an earlier breakfast so we can still make it into the Animal Kingdom early in the day.

I personally think it's too much food. Its not just the entree. There are pastries and either a fruit cup or parfait included. That's a lot for one to eat. I'm not planning for another meal until dinner after this ADR. If I get hungry I'll have a snack.

Yep, and he said they allowed changes/add ons. (His daughter asked for scrambled eggs on the side of pancake tower, no extra charge, and he asked for scrambled, I believe, instead of something else)

Honestly, the portions are huge in the photos I have seen. On our trip to Tokyo Disney those would have been portions for an entire family of 4-5.

I could probably eat some of my wife's to get filled up. Ok you all talked me into keeping it.

The portions were great, even for kids. Remember, they brought us a second set of pastries, and some were quite large. I suppose the adult pancakes didn't look massive, but my 11 and 1/2 year old daughter couldn't even eat 1/2. Not only that, but you and them get the yogurt parfait or fruit.

The calzone had sopressata cheese. I thought it was pretty good and would do it again, but they couldn't remove the bacon, so they didn't make them right then.

I really thought it was the best character breakfast ive done, but no Ohana yet.

Possibly ricotta cheese? Or marscapone?

Sopressata is a kind of salami.
