Bon Voyage Breakfast.....

You aren't just paying for the breakfast though. That is what is so hard to quantify to some. That $20 is really more like 10 for the characters and 10 for the meal.
I've went to lots of character meals including CRT and paid the price because I truly believe in that but those flounder pancakes look pathetic and I can make 4,000 of them with a bag of pancake mix that would cost me $7 at Costco. I think it looks embarrassing.

Where did you see a pic of the kids' breakfast meals? I've only seen pics of the adult meals

Well, not ALL customizable. They couldn't have my calzone sans-bacon. They're pre-made. :(
I assume they were made with pork sausage not turkey sausage correct? I'm the opposite and don't mind the bacon but only like turkey sausage. I'll probably order something else but this looked so good to me.:guilty:

I was there with two kids. No pics, but I recall the waffles being two small waffles and a choice of bacon or sausage. PLUS the same sized side of fruit and yogurt parfait and the unlimited(ish?) pastries. Totally enough for a 9 or younger kid.

So if things are customizable, will I be able to get the pancakes without the fruit on them?

Any clue if they have a calzone made with a gluten-free crust?

PP: What did your kids eat at CRT, and what did they pay, in comparison??

At CRT my kids have eaten the Children's Royal Breakfast which can be seen in this review. We also had fruit and pastries served with it. I believe it was $35 and we were eating in THE castle. Better value IMO. And they at least made it look like we were getting a decent sized breakfast for the $. My kids are only 3 and 4. They won't eat it all anyway and my husband ends up eating their leftovers but those pancakes just look pathetic lol. Maybe they just need to add some eggs which would cost them approximately nothing.

And don't get me wrong we have this breakfast booked for August because we love Rapunzel and Ariel and have never gotten to meet Flynn or Eric. We are prime examples of if they offer it we will pay. Almost to the point of embarrassing. But I expect to be served nice food when I'm paying over $100 for my family to meet popular characters we could once meet for free. I also wish the couples met together but I guess I'll have to experience it to make my call on that.

It's funny u say this. When I went to CRT in 2012, I just about fell out of my chair laughing at the pathetic size of the kids' breakfast. Plus not getting a choice is awful. My DD doesn't eat eggs so all she had was a few tiny french toast sticks and some miserable strips of bacon (Not that the scoop of eggs was particularly substantial). Thankfully at that time breakfast was all you care to eat so we just ordered more bacon.

The Bon Voyage breakfast looks like a better value to me because the food is at least themed to look cute.

I agree there needs to be more "presentation" on the fish...even if they figured out how to put some "waves" on the plate, so the fish were swimming...or even just water, with maybe a blueberry compote smear as the water they swim on (since you already have blueberries in the pancakes)...take a paint brush, dip, smear a stroke on the plate and have the fish swim on it...

It's just "trying" to make it seem worth the cost...
