Absolutely!! I don't even believe that he was advised not to give the speech. He had no choice but to address this issue when things didn't quiet down after making the interview rounds the other day. It has nothing to do with wishful thinking. When this first hit I, along with many of his supporters, agreed that he needed to come forth and talk about it. My point is that he chose to initially lie, when what he should have done is taken the approach he did in this speech. Does that mean that some would have still been against him?? Yep. It doesn't change the fact though that he lied and that can't be reversed. Some people won't get over that, and if you're not objective enough to realize that, then far be it from me to convince you otherwise.
