Bombshell Obama Pastor Video

And for what it's worth, I'm sick of "The Man is oppressing Blacks and we're The Enemy. Exchange "White" for "Black" or "Jew" and you would have a KKK rally" rhetoric.

If us white folk were historically the repressed rather than being historic oppressors of blacks, jews, etc, in this society, I might buy it. But you can't make that case here in the USA. We've been on top for a long time and some of us just don't seem to want any competition over sharing power or money or even status.

Some day sit down and watch "Eye on the Prize." OK, it will take more than a day, but invest the time.

Yeah, that's the theme, bash the poster when you can't tackle the evidence. IMO, you just lost the argument with your childish, immature, responses.

Sorry, you can put me on ignore, I'm not interested in uniformed opinion.

Again, these videos may be way off the mark, but you've not done or said anything that would counter them. You just attack. As an American, that is your right and I would die to protect that right.

You haven't given any evidence AT ALL! All you've said is that you've watched a conspiracy video.

Without going into all the conspiracy theories, let;s just focus on the most common one-- That the WTC were blown up intentionally by the government and that simply flying a jet liner couldn't cause the collapse. That the collapse was too much like an implosion and planned demolition.

1. A planned demolition of the building would use high explosives in a sequential order of charges and floors. These charges are placed beginning at the base and go UP.

2. These supposed demolition charges were placed on the floors where the planes had hit and exploded in a ball of fire. However, this massive explosion did not set off these supposed demolition charges, nor did this massive hit by an aircraft sever any of the cabling/primer for these charges.

3. The pilots would have to hit the building at the exact floors of the charges to make it "look real". Excellent piloting by amateur pilots.

4. These charges would have to be set on these floors without anyone witnessing the charges and primer cords being placed. No witnesses to this activity

5. Professional demo companies will remove non-load bearing walls from the building and partially pre-cut primary support throughout the building to promote a clean collapse of the building. No witnesses of such activity.

6. Theorists claim the steel couldn't have reached a temperature hot enough to melt. Explained by PM and by the butter example.

7. Steel with jutted angles after the collapse. Not all the building was the same temperature. Steel was bent, twisted, and jagged.

8. Puffs of dust and debris that bblew out the sides at the point of initial collapse prove that there were explosive charges. Except that the building was full of million of cubic feet of air. Whebn the first floor collapsed (and each successive floor, the air gets pushed OUT at an extreme rate, pushing dust and debris out.

9. The tallest building ever intentionally demolished by explosives was 469 feet and 25 stories tall (Hudson bldg in Detroit in 1998). The WTCs were approximately 1,360 feet tall and 110 stories. If we are to believe the conspiracy theorists, the gov't would have to plan to fly two airlines into the exact floors of he buildings, plant charges and weaken the building sufficuently to cause it's collapse without anybody seeing. Implement this plan to bring down a building three times taller with 4 times as many stories, then do it again within 20 minutes of the first one and then bring down a third building (WTC 7) that is twice as tall as tall as the previous record demolition only 7 hours later. (3 world-record demolitions in 7 hours!!:thumbsup2 )

So, it sounds like you and the other conspiracy supporters think it is more believable that the government is capable of pulling all that off, in addition to the missile/plane attack on the Pentagon and the "shoot down of flight 93", rather than believe that 19 Muslim terrorist planned and hijacked 4 airliners and succesfully flew 3 of them into buildings.

Yep, perfectly logical. I can also see how you can believe that Obama could sit in a Church for 20 years and not know that it was a BLF church and that his friend, pastor and close spiritual advisor was a racist hate-monger.

So realistically, what is your solution? Let Blacks oppress Whites for a given amount of time so we can all it even and THEN we can try to start fresh? Because we can't undo the past.

How long are people going to dwell on that, look back at the past, sit with that chip on their shoulders and have a victim mentality? The past CANNOT be changed. The future can. A tiny fraction of Americans "control" what there is to control, not White America in general. My family escaped its own oppression, thank you very much. Blacks do not have a monopoly on that. Again, Black men were given the right to vote 50 years before White women or Black Women. So I'd say White women know a little something about oppression. How long do we get to hang on to that? :confused3

This minister's myopic view seems to be that only Blacks have suffered oppression. Blaming Whites for building more prisons and passing 3 strike laws???? Uh....Don't commit that 3rd crime and maybe you won't wind up in prison. No one is forcing you to do it. Bad, bad White Man for making criminals go to jail. :sad2: How about a little personal responsibility?

I really think from the hate he spews that his goal is to have his turn as an oppressor......Not to have his turn as an equal. :thumbsup2

We all know the history of Blacks in America, but what's done is done. At what point do we just get on with it????? Seriously....Twenty years? Fifty? One hundred? Two hundred more? We can't wait until everyone feels like the past has been atoned for, because that day will never come.

It's like taking two people with identical backgrounds. Both had alcoholic, drug abusing parents who neglected them. Both were of the same intelligence. Both lived in rough neighborhoods with bad influences. Etc. But one of them turns to crime and essentially says, "What did you expect? I never knew anything different. I never had a chance." The other is determined to get out of that life and have something better for himself. He works hard, manages to do well in school, becomes a success and knows his children will lead a much different life than he did.

There is an element of choice here. You can look back or forward. Concentrate on how life has diddled you over and be stuck or accept that life isn't fair and sometimes is actually cruel and then move forward. BTDT.

The average White American is sick of being blamed for a past they had nothing to do with and a present (rich White men in control) that they are definitely not a part of. It has squat to do with us. It is human nature to dislike being blamed for things for which you are not responsible and that is reasonable. Let Rev. Wright go find the "White Folks" you speak of....the rich ones in power....and let him take up his beef with them. But leave the rest of us out of it.

I stand by what I've said before. Hate is hate. Racism is racism.

Let's be honest (if you can). If Obama was a white man or women and his or her minister said these hateful and rasist comments, their political life would be over. But, because Obama is black, he will survive and go on to continue his campaign for President. We have a double standard in our society today. If you are black you can get away with saying anything you want to,(because of America's history) but if you are white you get crucified for saying anything negative about the opposition.

Just think what the press would be doing if it have been Clinton's or McCains minister who spoke these words. The truth about Obama and his wife is starting to come out. The disdain they have for the white people of this country is coming to the surface. The Opie Taylor image he is trying to protray to the american people is wearing thin. As this campaign goes on, his true image and thoughts will come out. Now, you can call me anything you want. But the truth is the truth. If Obama was white, he would not be where he is today. If he were white, the black voters would be rallying around Clinton. Even if a white Obama was saying the exact same thing, preaching the exact same message, he would be out of the race by now. :stir:

Cowboy, I have to give you credit for continuing. Once I see someone is a believer in the conspiracy of the gov't to commit 9/11, I'm out. It makes my head want to explode.

Gosh, I sure hope everyone here is getting some therapy ASAP. I mean in just two minutes of clips of Pastor Wright, you have all suddenly experienced 300 + years of racism: slavery, lynchings, Jim Crow laws, discrimination in housing, education and employment, being incarceration at significantly disproportionate rates.

You must all be suffering PTSD from those 2 minutes of those hateful comments.

In raw numbers, "we've" been on "top" because "we're" 86 percent of the population. Other than that, I don't think many whites feel they are on top of anyone.

But if you take Rev. Wright's words literally, the black man still has the shoe of the white man pressing down on his throat.

And "some" is a far cry from the sweeping generalizations the Rev. (and you) made. I do however believe many white people resent being portrayed that way.

Rev. Wright doesn't even care for some very successful blacks such as Colin Powell or Condi Rice. They are sell outs or Uncle Toms.

But what about Pastor John Hagee? McCain has embraced his endorsement and the media is barely saying anything about it.

HAGEE: "The United States must join Israel in a pre-emptive military strike against Iran to fulfill God’s plan for both Israel and the West… a biblically prophesied end-time confrontation with Iran, which will lead to the Rapture, Tribulation, and Second Coming of Christ."

HAGEE: "All hurricanes are acts of God, because God controls the heavens. I believe that New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God, and they are -- were recipients of the judgment of God for that. The newspaper carried the story in our local area that was not carried nationally that there was to be a homosexual parade there on the Monday that the Katrina came. And the promise of that parade was that it was going to reach a level of sexuality never demonstrated before in any of the other Gay Pride parades. So I believe that the judgment of God is a very real thing. I know that there are people who demur from that, but I believe that the Bible teaches that when you violate the law of God, that God brings punishment sometimes before the day of judgment. And I believe that the Hurricane Katrina was, in fact, the judgment of God against the city of New Orleans."

HAGEE: "Most readers will be shocked by the clear record of history linking Adolf Hitler and the Roman Catholic Church in a conspiracy to exterminate the Jews."

HAGEE: "Do you know the difference between a woman with PMS and a snarling Doberman pinscher? The answer is lipstick. Do you know the difference between a terrorist and a woman with PMS? You can negotiate with a terrorist. "

You're right. Excuse me while I go jump off a tall building. The guilt is just too much.

You have nothing to feel guilty about. The God **** America comment has not only wiped the slate clean, and judging from the mass hysteria on this thread from people who listened to that comment, we white people have now experienced the same amount of oppression in just 2 minutes.

There's also an interesting article about Francis Schaeffer on the Huffington Post that tells a different story. He was an influential preacher during the 70's and 80's who talked about how America's support for Abortion is contrary to God's law and even physical force should be taken against a government that continues this practice. Yet, he was a favorite of the Ford, Reagan and Bush families. The article was written by his son.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/frank-schaeffer/obamas-minister-committe_b_91774.html

The likes of Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Ted Haggard, John Hagee, James Dobson, Ron Palsley and a host of others have gotten a pass for claiming that America's support for gay rights and abortion were the causes for 9-11, Katrina and other disasters. Sure, they get chided by the media-but they're still invited to the White House and every Presidential candidate on the Republican side has to "kiss their ring" in order to get the nomination. Even John McCain, who famously called these people "agents of intolerance" is now cheerfully accepting their endorsements and calling them "spiritual guides".

It isn't just two minutes of Rev Wright's speech that is upsetting to me. It is merely the catalyst that brings this whole issue to the top like a nasty boil.

I am tired of being made to feel like I am, somehow, personally responsible for all the "sufferings" of others.

Does that make me "racist"? I don't think so.

No,, it doesn't. But neither does having anger about how blacks have been treated in this country make people who know someone who expresses that anger a racist.

"Sufferings" in quotations -are you implying that people have not suffered in this country?

Do you consider someone who you have considered a close advisor for 20 years, helped name your book, pastored you church, married you, and baptized you kids as someone you know. Sounds like this pastor was a close friend, advisor, and spiritual leader to me.

A little more than just casual friends who "know each other".

Back to you regularly scheduled deflection now.

Noticed you're not endorsing Clinton or Obama. I really didn't know about McCain's religious endorser-Hagee. I may have to wash my eyes out with soap...:rolleyes1

McCain has a big problem on his hands-I daresay most Americans are clueless about the real views of his endorser-Hagee.

Is there still wide spread *real* suffering, oppression, lynchings, Jim Crowe laws, etc...

Well, if the last 20 years are any indication-Americans will just shake their heads, call him a nutter and vote whatever way they were going to anyway. There have been no shortage of white ministers preaching hate over the years that have been cheerfully embraced by the Republican party. I started noticing it during the Reagan years, and it's been a pretty unbroken habit since then.

I said it on another thread: this just proves my theory that the President should probably be an athiest. Then we wouldn't have to worry about what he/she heard in church.

endorser or close personal friend, moral compass, baptized his kids, married you, served on your campaign, gave you the title of your book...totally the same thing.

Yes, I know the Right would like to ignore a serious pastor eruption. Read Hagee's views...There's no way McCain didn't know who he was joining forces with. That link says more than enough. I find Hagee very, very dangerous, and I find McCain sadly uninformed or out of touch with reality.

Me too-but I wasn't voting McCain anyway-with or without Hagee. I disagree with him on the war in Iraq, on foreign policy, on healthcare, and it worries me that he has an admitted lack of knowledge about economics as we head into the worse recession this country has seen in years.

I don't vote on the candidate's pastors or on the people who endorse them. I vote on the candidates stand on secular issues.
