We are thinking of skipping AK park this visit- in July- so was thinking of going to Boma to see some animals. we have two reservations- one is the day we leave at 9am- we are staying at the Polynesian and our flight is at 2pm- is that enough time? too much travel on departure day? what would be the best route to get there? Any other suggestions for last day breakfast instead- we love Ohana- but will probably eat there for breakfast another day.
I am going with my mom, my sister, and my niece- who is 10.

Our other option is a 6pm dinner at Boma on day 3 of the trip.
I'm hesitant to switch to another breakfast- as I don't want to lose a whole morning with travel and breakfast with it being so hot in July.

All suggestions appreciated greatly!!!

Regarding breakfast at Boma on your departure date: if you are dependent on the Magical Express to get to the airport you will have to be ready to depart from the Poly by about 11:00 am. IMHO that would make for a very rushed final day. If it were not your last day I would suggest taking the bus to Animal Kingdom and then get another bus from AK to AKL.

We've enjoyed dinner at Boma very much. We'll finally try their breakfast when we stay at AKL in December. The times that we went to Boma for dinner were days when we were in AK for the day. It is a short bus trip from there. We traveled back to the Poly via the bus to MK, then the ferry. When we stayed at BWI we took advantage of extra magic hours at DHS and took a bus there, followed by the boat to the BWI.

if you're staying at the Poly, and if you're wanting a non-rushed & leisurely departure day I'd stay at the Poly and eat breakfast at Kona Cafe there (the Big Kahuna is a fabulous breakfast platter - comes with 2 eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, breakfast potatoes, french toast and small side of macadamia nut pancakes, under $15. If you're not big eaters, two adults could easily split one Big Kahuna. Kona also has Tonga Toast if you like that or entree-sized Macadamia Nut Pancakes as big as a plate)

...or hop the monorail & go to Grand Floridian Cafe or The Wave for breakfast.

Much as we love Boma Breakfast, I think it'd be difficult to get there & back in time for ME, especially eating at 9:00 a.m. You'd have no time to look for animals, that's for sure. Unless you planned on taking a cab there & back..and even then, it'd be a rushed morning.

Thanks-
we ended up going to Boma a different day and had Tonga toast counter service the last day. it was yummy!
