Bold colors on walls?

I say paint it whatever color makes you happy.

(and please ignore the title above, I accidentally tried to hijack this thread! lol)

That's reassuring. We possibly may be moving next year and the houses that I have been looking at on line, (too early to actually go looking) that have bold colors and a lot of personal touches (clutter), don't show well on line.

I was very surprised when we repainted DD's burnt orange bedroom (ie. dark orange) with beige paint and the man at the paint store told me that we would not even have to prime to cover this orange color! And yes, he was right! 2 coats of Glidden paint. I was amazed it covered--esp. w/o primer.
