BOG new test lunch res online?

We used the BOG FP+ this past week and it worked perfectly! Definitely a highlight of our trip! We had an ADR for dinner, but we LOVED lunch so much. We ate in the West Wing at the best table by the fireplace.

We had a fp for lunch at BOG last Thursday, including a pre-order for lunch. I didn't print out a copy of the reservation and when we went to check in, our reservation wasn't in the system. The CM took the serial number off my MB and then let us into the restaurant. When I checked the website later that day, our reservation was listed. I guess it was just a glitch on their end, but at least they believed me. :)

Be Our Guest Restaurant... All I can say is WOW!!!!. We were very fortunate to not only snag a FP for lunch but also had an ADR for dinner. The restaurant was amazing, the food was wonderful. If I had to pick either lunch or dinner, I would have to recommend dinner more then lunch. The food was great at both, however the whole disorganized having to place your order at the computers is annoying. Now we had the FP, however they could not find our pre ordered meals and so we had to go in line and order. Of course we got stuck behind a party of 2 who took 10 minutes to order. They actually went thru the whole order and could figure out how to edit, so they stopped the first order and started everything over. I ended up calling over a CM to come and help them. I really feel that the lunch menu is to large and complicated to go thru the screen ordering. there really should be a CM at each screen to ring in the orders. Luckily though, this would be the only thing I would change. The food ordering during lunch are great Lunch offerings. The food came out in a reasonable time. (some confusion on where to deliver food for some tables) Now dinner, was perfect, we were lucky to grab a 4pm ressie and were one of the first people to enter the restaurant for dinner. I got to tell you, if you are going to do dinner, get an early ressie. The greeting as you entered the restaurant was one of the best I have ever seen. They lined up the entire serving staff at the inside of the door and they all applauded you as you walked into the restaurant. It really set the tone of the meal. The service was wonderful and the food was out of this world. The highlight for myself was that I ordered the steak, (which almost melted in my mouth) but I ordered the fries as one my sides. Now the fires were good, but the Truffle mayo that came out with it was probably one of the best things I have eve tasted. (I almost picked up the dish and licked it cleaned, but wanted to set a good example for my kids) A great time, highly recommend this place as the best place in MK to dine (lunch or dinner)

Oh man I can't wait until Feb dates open. I just figured it was all booked!
I hope they open up. Multiple people have put out the word that BOG reservation site is no longer going to be used and that you will only be able to procure a FP+ for BOG via CM invite during check in at your resort. Hope that's not true. Set a four hour block aside in my FP+ reservations just invade we can't get the FP+. I'll wait with rose in hand if I have to, it'd be nice not to have to though!

...So, has anyone in January been able to book a FP+ for BOG lunch, or is it still only available in December? :confused3

I can honestly say...be persistent trying to get the FP for BOG, IT IS SO WORTH IT! We had a FP for 12:35-1:05 on Monday 12/2. It was our arrival day and I was keeping my fingers crossed that flights, check in etc would all go as expected and we would be able to make it for our FP time. We arrived to check in about 12:45pm. Within 5 minutes we had verified our meal choices, walked in, found seats and were ready to eat. (Starved I might add as we had been up since 3am without any substantial meal). Our food arrived in about 10 minutes maximum and it was fabulous. I chose the prime rib sandwich...best dang sandwich I had all week, absolutely NO fat anywhere! My husband had the pork. It was so tender and tasty...very yummy. Both of our grandsons had the macaroni and they LOVED IT! All of this happened while there was a line of people waiting 2 hours to get in and eat. My 8 year old grandson told his mom that we didn't have to wait 2 hours like most people, but it would have been worth it if we had to wait it was so good! We also had the good fortune of having an evening ADR later in the week. The food was excellent. My husband had the best steak he ate all week and the garlic butter sauce on it was to die for. I had the shrimp and scallops in the puff pastry. It was very good. Our grandsons ordered the macaroni again, and they got the chicken breast with it. The 8 year old had his entire meal polished off in a matter of a few minutes. The service was great, the atmosphere was awesome! We then went in and took photos with the Beast and toured the rest of the castle. BOG is SO worth waiting for. We absolutely loved it. When the fireworks started I hesitated to go out and watch although some people did. Finally I gave in and went out to see the final 5 minutes. It was neat to see it from a different locations. Some of the fireworks were so close to the Beast's castle that it made the chandeliers shake a little. Great experience!!!! It will be at the top of my ADR list for future trips. Good luck to all of you waiting to get a FP!

I am asking this question for my sister. She is staying at the Sawn and Dolphin. Do they offer Magical Express if staying there? If so, could she use her ME tag numbers? They are also AP holders. I was able to log on myself and make a reservation for next week even though I'm not going to be anywhere near WDW! I found that odd.

NO ME at Swolphin. The BOG FP+ is for Disney resort guests only, its tied to the resort reservation.

Being able to make a BOG FP+ ressie when you don't have a resort reservation is kind of strange; I was at WDW in October and used the BOG FP+, just logged in now and I can make a ressie too.Did you have a resort stay in the last few months?

I am stalking January dates, too. We have a BOG dinner res, but it's pretty late and I want to ditch it.

When I login it doesn't ask for any reservation number, it takes me automatically to a calendar but the calendar just offers dates within the next week. It shifts dates each day, but always just within the next week. Anyone else have that?

Interesting. So maybe this is open for offsite guests too??:cheer2:

it isn't for your reservation number, it is for your magic band number. the first time i logged in, it took me right to the calendar, so i thought the same thing, but then somehow my account went wonkie and i had to call IT to reset it. thus, kicking me out of the whole BOG thing. so i called back, they walked me through putting my MB number back in (which i didn't do the first time, but since i was already logged in, i didn't have to, the reset kicked me out). so i don't think this is an on-site/off-site thing, i think it's a magic band thing. but i really don't know this, i'm just making an assumption! hope this helps :):):)

right now its in test mode for Disney resort guests only, You need a resort reservation number which is the same as the number on the MB and its the same number as on the yellow Magical Express bus tag.

That wasn't true for me. I had a room only reservation, so my reservation number was all numbers, and it worked in the BOG website.

We had a trip planned for November that we moved to January, both room only, but we also have APs attached to our account. Maybe that has something to do with only getting one week at a time? I tried getting reservation back in November and it did ask me for my information then, but since booking the January trip, it doesn't.

We are there for 8 days and it doesn't offer me the eight day as an option. I have been reading that it is because it is a test and it is only offered for the first 7 days of your stay.

I wanted the lunch fast pass for our 8th day. We are going end of March so I am hoping that by the time my FP reservations open for BOG it will allow me to book for day 8.

:)
