Is it possible to take a boat from Epcot to the hollywood studios? Where would a person catch this boat in Epcot?

The Epcot boat loads just outside the park, on the International Gateway side. The Gateway is on a path between France and UK areas in World Showcase. The boat goes to all three of the Epcot area resort docks (Boardwalk, YC/BC, Swan/Dolphin) and then on to Studios.

Slow moving, but pretty, and a fun way to use more Disney transportation.

You can walk from Epcot to Studios in about 35 minutes at a good pace instead if you felt like walking.

As previous poster said. the boat leaves from just outside the International Gateway...this is located inbetween England and France. The boat will stop at BW, then YC/BC, S/D and finally go to DHS. The ride, once on the boat, takes about 25 mins.
You can also walk...if you walk out of the Gateway area, and then go up the hill and turn left, towards BW, it should take you less than 20 mins total walking time. I normally stay at BW, so make the walk all the time. If you were to leave Epcot, at the same time as the boat, the boat would get to BW about a min before you did. BUT...you will then turn left, at the Village Green across from the boat dock, turn right into the tunnel like area, just past Wyland Galleries, go out past Luna Park (BW's pool area), staying to the left of the pool and exit behind the slide, onto the walkway to DHS...this cuts off a few mins walk. You won't see the boat again, until it comes around the bend as you head to bag check. Walking usually takes a bit less time than the actual boat ride from Epcot or BW.

The boat sounds like a nice way to get a look at the Epcot resorts without a lot of walking. Where is the boat landing at HS? How long would it take to go from HS to Epcot? I assume it doesn't make the resort stops that way.

The boat landing at HS is all the way to the left after you exit the gates. But it does make resort stops both ways, so it's about 25 minutes in that direction too. :)

The PP said, the boat goes from Epcot to BW/BWV to YC/BC to S/D to DHS, then turns around and goes from DHS to S/D to YC/BC to BW/BWV to Epcot. The trip takes between 25 and 35 minutes (depending on loading times, etc.) each way. It's a very nice way to get from Epcot to DHS (or back) without doing much walking.

You can walk from Epcot to DHS (and back). It's about 1.27 miles from IG to DHS.

I agree that this is the best way to go, assuming the OP is willing to walk and not take the Boat.

The boat dock, at DHS, is off to the far right, as you are entering the park area. It is at the end of the canal.
And as already noted, yes it does make stops along the way...there is no 'express boat'. Sorry. It takes almost exactly 25 mins once you are on the boat and it gets under way. It is not fast, but is pleasant.
But, this is why I generally walk..it's quicker than the boat.

If you happen to just miss the boat at IG, try walking to the YBC dock. If you walk at a moderate pace, you'll likely catch the same boat that just left Epcot as it takes about as long to walk to YBC dock than it does for the same boat to leave Epcot, stop at BW and make it to the YBC dock ;)
