So Ive never even been here after 10 visits to WDW..
Anyway am I really missing something by not going? Is it all mostly shops?
What goes on during the day and at night?
Is there a place to get a good burger and fries? I hear theirs a great place to get pizza is that true?
Thanks!

Not too much shopping, it's more dining, ESPN, Spoodles, Big River Grille, Flying Fish, Boardwalk Bakery, an ice cream and candy shop. There's a couple of clubs. For a good burger and fries, you can try Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club. The Beach and Yacht Club also have restaurants on-site. If you do visit, I'd recommend going in the evening there are usually performers such as magician and juggler. And it's a nice walk or just sit outside.

HI...
LUUUUUUUV Boardwalk!!

You can walk a huge circle around by the Yacht and Beach Club hotels to work off a great burger from the Big River Grill on Boardwalk..also this is a microbrewery with some fun homemade beers.

Also ESPN has great 9-14 dollar meals and "the best Rueben I have ever had" according to friend from Wisconsin. A must stop if any sports fans in the group.

If you really like to explore you can walk over to the Swan and Dolphin and check out the fancy lobbies and chic bars.

We love to just walk around the huge circle, check out the view across a beautiful lake, cheer the people peddling up hill in thier little surry with the fringe on top. (You can rent one, by the way for 2 or 4 or 6.)

The street entertainers are really fun and you will always catch one or two at night. IMHO, it is to be enjoyed at night because of the lights.

Also, wander into the Yacht and Beach Club lobbies as they are fantastic just to see...

Give it a try...Ted

my kids love the "midway" type games at the boardwalk, along w/the juggler and other street performers... we're trying to plan an evening to visit on our next trip...

Wow sounds like I need to make time one evening for Boardwalk.. Pls excuse my ignorance but what are midway games?

midway games are the games you find at the carnival midway that typically give stuffed animals as prizes... you know, knock over the milk bottles, throw the basketball, shoot water in the clown's mouth, etc... they have a few scattered around the boardwalk...
