We bought into the DVC last fall. We'll be staying at the Boardwalk Villas in August and will be using Disney transportation throughout our stay. My plan was to buy non-perishable items over the Internet for our arrival. For our perishable items, I was hoping to order from a local grocery store that delivers once we were there.
Does this make sense, and does anyone have any reliable web sites that I could use? My last experince with ordering from an Internet grocer down there wasn't very good. Can anyone provide some guidance here?
Much appreciated.

How much are you buying?

Our grocery list on perishables turns out to be so small that we spend $20 or $30 down at the Screen Door (milk, eggs, half and half, orange juice) and are done for the week. With a grocery delivery fee for the services or minimum orders, this works well for us.

There's wegoshop and Garden Grocer. Both have websites.

We have used wegoshop.com 5 times for all of our needs, with great success. We usually order: juice, coffee, water, soda, beer, wine, breakfast things, fruite, cheese and crackers and other snack items. I believe that our last delivery fee was $17 and I believe I saved nearly that on the water alone.
Marge is great and even offered us a mid-vacation return with no additional delivery fee. We did not need to take advantage of this offer.

Used Garden Grocer as well and they worked just fine.

Second this...I used wegoshop this week and they were great. You pay the exact price on the grocery receipt plus delivery fee in one easy transaction. Amy shopped with care from my list and it was great to check in and have all groceries put away within half an hour :thumbsup2

We've used WeGoShop for our last 5 stays at Disney, and they are very dependable. Email them what you want, and when you want it delivered, and Marge will get it done for you. We've ordered everything from laundry detergent, frozen pizzas, milk, Dr. Pepper to eggs and many other food items. These folks can do it all for you.

Snow Shoe...I knew you must be from TX before I ever saw your location. Only Texans go to WDW and order groceries to sustain their DP fix!

We are taking our first DVC trip in Feb and had a question about groceries. How much room is there in the fridge in a studio. We would hate to order a lot of stuff and not have room to store it.

thanks

I think the fridges are of the 15 or 16 cubic foot variety. Not huge but big enough to store your groceries for the week.

We used Garden Grocer on our last stay. They brought every thing we ordered and made our requested substitutions.

When you use Garden Grocer, do they bring it all the way to your room or give it to Bell Services to deliver.

The reason I ask is when we stay a couple weeks, I usually have a big grocery trip and use Bell Services' help to get it to our room. I usually end up tipping about $20....not sure how to count it as the grocery store seems to only put 1-2 items in those little plastic bags!

If Garden Grocer brings it directly to the room, and I just have to tip them a little bit, it would save me both time and money!

In April, I had a $200 order from Garden Grocer. I called them when I arrived into my room. When they came, they brought all of the groceries up into our room. Together, we accounted for every item on the list so as to make sure everything was delivered. It was, excellent quality products, and I found the prices very comparable to most regular grocery stores. Highly recommend them.:wizard:

I agree we loved Marge from Wegoshop. One fee, they bring it to your room-and doesn't mind special orders. We already have a spot saved for our Christmas trip.

fixin' to find me a DP!

I have to have my DP!

This last Christmas we had the whole family, at WDW in a GV at BWV. We made a grocery list for the family and I emailed it to Marge. It was hugh, over $300!! Marge had no problem in filling it completly.
