Hopefully, it will LEAD us SAFELY to Walt Disney World ;)

Ohhh. Nice tires blue. Tires = Good.

No free food in October blue. Plus, no crowds PLUS Food & Wine Festival!! :woohoo: :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Here's the list so far & we've never dined at any of them:

Yachtsman Steak House
Artists Point
Narcoosees
Chefs De France

That free dining will save you a TON of money. Each one of our dinners runs about $100 AFTER the 20% discount then we give the 20% back in the form of a tip. Do you tip with Free Dining??? How often do you get to eat?? Can you eat at the KFC and get a free "Big Box"???

Just caught all caught up. I feel like I'm on a car dealership page luring me into buying new tires. Now baby you need these, with those curves, can't have those tires you have now. These will only run you $$$ but its worth it.

You're all nuts but I love it.

Cute crocs, I love the pic with all of them- so cute!

I think we need to have a random drug test, I think there might be some Steroid abuse going on with those tires.

Please tell me that that isn’t a sit down mower it is resting on. It’s just not fair, how come Grumpy gets all the cool toys.

Yeah!! Totally unfair!! Lin has to mow our lawn with an old push mower I bought 10 years ago. Last weekend I had her sharpen the blade and change the oil for the first time ever!!

You're back writing and I never finished my last tr! I say the title of this thread when looking at the boards and knew it had to be you. So I just wanted to say hi!

(I still say you don't look old enough to have two daughters as old as they are.)

Maybe Blue's hubby got her somethin other than tires for Mothers Day!!

Either that or that is what they bought their daughter to drive around in/on:drive: !!

great pretrip report i really enjoy this and your first trip report me and my wife look forward to reading more so get busy lol
:goofy:

*Whistling at your choices* 3 Signature Dinners!!!!! :cheer2:

The free dining plan includes a snack, a counter service (CS) meal and a table service meal (TS) daily for each person. There are a few restaurants that require you to use 2 table service meal credits. When we went, Hoop Dee Doo and CRT both required 2 TS credits each. Three of your above choices would require using 2 TS credits.

Basically what we did was buy our breakfast, use a CS credit for lunch and TS credit for dinner. We could have used a CS credit for breakfast but we're not big morning eaters and that would have been a waste. As you recall, we had about 17 snack credits left on our last day and I let the girls use those to get treats for their friends back home.

We found it to be a LOT of food and seemed like we were always eating. Oh and an 18% tip is already included in the dining plan so you are not required to leave a tip, however, we did leave tips for our dinners because of the great service.

I totally forgot to mention in my first trip report how much our meals would have cost us had we not been on the free dining plan
redface-oops-6.gif

I kept all the receipts from our 7 day plan and the grand total was $1300.00 and that doesn't even include the cost of the free snacks!!!!!

So yes, as you said, the free dining saved us a TON of money :dance3: The only stipulation is that you must go during hurricane season Aug.26 - Sept. 22.

:rotfl2: Hang around those two long enough and you'll be just as nutty

Seriously, it would take us too long with a push mower :headache:

Loooooong story short I was dealing with stuff with my boyfriend. I"ll send a little more detailed messages shortly. But I'm doing well!

I'm not sure many people would be still interested but I will certainly have to gather up what I can and write out at least an ending. Every story needs an ending.

haha I've also now decided I want to come live with you. Kayaking and hanging out on the boat. Can you swing by Boston on your road trip and add me to your family?

We put aside $1500 for the 12 days we're down there. We have dinner somewhere nice every night, maybe one character lunch, and the rest are counter service. We don't do breakfast either but usually grab a b-fast bar and diet soda on our way out the door.

We're big "snackers" so we enjoy small snacks thru the day and then a nice dinner to cap it off.

It's crazy how much we spend on food. The DDE card bascially means FREE tips :headache: but once in a while we'll get poor service and are able to save some money.

This is almost embarrassing but I'm already excited for October. I need help!! :sad2:

Hi Blue & JoJo! :wave2: I'm terribly, horribly late to your pre-TR! :sad2: I hope you guys can forgive me! It's been really crazy around here with the end of school & graduation. :faint: Things are finally calming down. I just spent the morning catching up. :surfweb: I love reading both of your perspectives, and I CAN'T WAIT to read the real TR when you get home! :thumbsup2 I hope you all survive the car ride!!! I know that I couldn't do it. You couldn't pay me enough to sit in a car with my kids for that long. :scared1: Congratulations on the new job, Blue! I hope it works out for you. Congrats to Goofy with her swimming! :cheer2: And good luck to JoJo with driver's ed! :drive: Oh, and I have serious tire envy, too. Sheesh, way to show off, Blue! :rolleyes1 We need new shocks and tires for our van - send Grumpy down here when he's finished with your car, will you? OK, here are my suggestions for your other dinners... Kona Cafe & Wolfgang Puck Express after a day of shopping at Downtown Disney. You can also have counter service as you walk your way around Epcot World Showcase one night. We love the Fish & Chips in England as a start. :thumbsup2 Well, I think that's it for now. I hope you all enjoy your summer and have fun planning for your WDW trip!!!

Better Late than Never,
 Michelle

Just getting around to my PM's now :faint:

Summer is always crazy around here - being so short and all for us :guilty:

I promise to catch up with everyone's TR's and PM's this week.

Yes, your story needs an ending and hopefully a happy one!!! :yay:

Sure we'll pick you up on route! What's one more on the "Psycho Tour 07" bus?

Do you also buy groceries during your stay? Since we're driving this time, we are planning on picking up some snack foods and drinks.

I hear ya on the needing help thing

Just this evening, I spent over an hour re-writing my plans for our trip, changing things around and adding new stuff and I've watched the Planning DVD three times since receiving it. I'm looking forward to the new attractions!!

I'm going to start making my lists soon. That should be FUN :dance3:

Forgiven already, I know exactly what it's like. I'm so behind with my reading also :sad2:

Thanks for all the congrats :flower3:

Speaking of Grumpy and cars - he's been wanting to pick up an older car and fix it up for some time now and looks like he may be getting an el camino this week to work on over the summer. Just another thing to add to our long list of projects on the go :headache:

Thanks for your dinner suggestions!

Good for you guys!!! :cheer2:

I'm not sure we'd enjoy going in January because it isn't as hot but it would still be better than sitting around here freezing our butts off ;)

Blue, has JoJo started drivers training yet?? How does that work in Canada? I had to pay $300 for my son to get started. Now he takes his last test next week for an additional $25.

I had to re-read your introductions. I knew the girls were animal lovers, but I guess I didn't realize you and goofy were also. Oops, no more dead bambi pictures on my thread!!

Promise!!

This is not allowed! Don't know the DIS needs you, no crazy summer is allowed. Kidding. Enjoy you're summer, I am even if we can't seem to string together many good days.

I'm working on jogging my memory for some of the details so hopefully I get finished soon!!!

Yay!!! I come with a portable dvd player and more movies then you can shake a fist at. What more do you need for a long road trip?

YES! She started a few weeks ago (classroom stuff right now) and it cost us $500.00 for the course. She has until July 11 to take her written test and that will cost another $125.00 :headache: I'm not letting her write it until I review with her and believe she's ready because if she fails, you pay the same price again!

We live on a private road and I let her drive up to the end and back. I'm not sure who was more nervous! :scared: :rotfl2:
