So I am wondering who will replace Buzz on our group “Road Trip” after you kill him?

It doesn’t seem fair that Linnie would have to go by herself, it’s not her fault he’s the way he is.

I was thinking about that and have decided that we really can't replace him because we need him for his GAT skills. Guess we can put up with his shenanigans as a trade off. Besides, I wouldn't want Linnie to be lonely.

Goofster said:
Congratulations on the job, watch out for those retirees they can be dangerous when they are around younger women

I've been finding that out!!!!

They love me already and I've only been there 4 nights :scared:

Good luck with the job! I too am looking for work after a few years off...looking is no fun! I hope you love it!

OH and we are going to WWC this next trip too just to try the skillet!!! YUMMY!

Looking for a job is a job in itself. Good luck Kat, I hope you find something you enjoy!

The skillet does look YUMMY. I can't wait to try it :yay:

I AM GETTING A CAR. YOU'LL GET ME ONE!

With that attitude, you'll be getting nothing, zippo, zero for your birthday LadyJane!

You'll have to live with driving my truck. By the way, that also means you take over my taxi duties for your sister :teeth:

Whee!! I finally made it over here! I've been trying to get here the past few days. However.....

No worries Lin, I know what it's like :grouphug:

Buzz wanted to buy a barbecue this weekend-believe me when I say-we've had issues with past bbq's so I was not for this at all. But I figured I'd go along with him to the store and keep an eye on him. DD says, "Mom, I have to go to the bathroom" so the kids and I head to the restroom (see I'm back home now so it wasn't me having to go to the bathroom-that's only in WDW). By the time I got back Buzz bought the biggest, most obnoxious, behemoth barbecue they had in the store.

I can imagine he would choose the biggest, most obnoxious one :rotfl2:

Linnie said:
Lucky for him, they assembled it, then delievered it to us b/c I've put enough of those things together in the past and was not looking forward to this! So now he's got me going through books and online looking for recipes to actually use this humungous thing.

He makes you put them together? Wow. I'm impressed with your assembly skills! What exactly can he do at home?

Linnie said:
Anyone recommend a good barbecue sauce? Our favorite it Cookies, but you have to order it online a case at a time.

I've got nothing for you on this one. I'm not much of a cook I'm afraid - sad but true :rolleyes1

Linnie said:
I'm so excited you get to go back to WDW!! And congrats onthe job! You'll do great! I'd like to go back to work too-I'm in much need of adult conversation! Buzz is back from the store now and harping at me to get the grub put away and get to work cooking. I'll be back-I can't wait to see this trip unfold!!!

Thanks Linnie. I'm enjoying it so far and yes, it's nice to have some adult conversation. However, I do miss all the free time I was used to having but the extra money will be great. I'll be able to do even more shopping at WDW this year :cheer2: :dance3:

Hey Blue--have you and the girls been to Planet Hollywood? A lot of people say they don't like the food, but we haven't had a problem with it. The girls would love the atmosphere and all the pictures and other memorabilia they have everywhere. And don't forget to use the bathroom there--pretty cool! There's even a bathroom attendant who hands you a towel to dry your hands with! There's usually a wait to get in--put your name on the list, then walk around Downtown Disney a while. When we booked through our TA, we got a voucher for a free dinner for one person.

We saw that restaurant last trip while at DTD and I did have it on my list of ADR's but then I switched it for Sci-Fi. You know, I just may add it as one of our out of pocket dinners. I do think the girls would enjoy it. Thanks for the tip :thumbsup2

I provide income, aluminum cans, and humor. Sometimes, I provide a vacation. :yay:

I love your ADR's. We usually always make a point to eat at the Garden Grill because of the great character interaction. The last time we were there Chip sat down at our table and Jeremy offered him his green beans at which time Chip started feeding them to Jeremy :rotfl: . The food there is also really good.

Congratulations on the new job! Can't wait to hear all about it!

They will love this one-- it's so much fun!

Crystal Palace
- The girls both like Pooh
Another good one!

Whispering Canyon
- I read a bit about this place and I hope we won't be disappointed
I always wanted to try this one!

Blue -- please promise me that you will take tons of pictures, unfortunately, I won't be making it a second time to the world this year:guilty: , something came up but I'm hoping I will be able to go in 2008 (at some point). I really wanted to see my friend Heather again, not to mention go to the Halloween party (I was going in October).

Ok, I decided to read your Pre Trippy so I can keep caught up, Was just waiting for the other trip report to be finished. :surfweb: Either way, I am excited to read more from you & JoJo. :yay: You are both wonderful writers so keep the excitement coming. :cheer2:

Jumping on the thread. I really enjoyed your first trip report and I can't wait to hear about this second trip down. You an Jojo really crack me up. You guys are hilarious and it is obvious that you have a really great relationship.

Thanks! We do have a great relationship. She's my pride and joy. I can't leave Goofy out either - the same goes for her :cutie: I just wish she'd take a part in the TR too :(

Oh well, you can't have it all eh? ;)

Since I've finally finished my first trip report, we'll be able to spend some more time on this one now. :yay:

We are now in the double digits!!!!!!!!!!!!

So enjoying this report. Hope that new job is going well. Looking forward to more from you and jojo.

It’s time for an update!!!

With summer fast approaching, the four of us have been keeping very busy.

Goofy has a little over a week left at the swim club and we went to her last swim meet a few weekends ago. She placed well in all her heats and is 3 seconds away from competing in the Regionals. She will be joining the senior team in September. :cheer2:

JoJo’s been spending most of her spare time at the farm, working with the horses and going to competitions with her friend. She also started Drivers Ed – heaven help us! Stay off the roads people!!!! :scared:

Grumpy has been busy working on our vehicle, making sure it’s safe for our road trip to WDW. He bought four new tires last week and still has to have them installed. He’s been driving me crazy about the tires – keeps calling me into the garage saying, “Come see our new tires”. What the heck?? :rolleyes1 They’re just tires honey – get a life. :rotfl2: I don’t see the big thrill about them. Guess it’s a guy thing. :confused3 I hate spending money on stuff like that; it seems like such a waste, like I’m getting nothing for it. :headache:

He also changed the front shocks himself and wants to replace the back ones next. We will be replacing our cracked windshield (it’s been that way for over 3 years – it happened two weeks after we bought our Explorer). It started out as a tiny crack but now is right across and another one top to bottom.

One evening, Prince Grumpy - all excited - called me out to the garage again for what he described as a surprise. He installed a CB radio and explained how we could talk to the truckers on our way down. How romantic – just love those kind of surprises. :sad2:

Myself, I’ve been shopping!!! :dance3: Some of you might say, what else is new? – Not mentioning any names here.

I bought some crocs for the girls and myself:

8a2768d6.jpg

Okay…so they’re fakes but they’ll do. I only plan on using mine in the water parks anyhow.

I also went to the Disney Store and purchased four matching POTC 3 shirts for our trip:

BTW – about my part-time job – it’s been okay. I also applied for a casual position as Office Receptionist at the same place and I start that on Friday. I’m hoping to receive more hours doing that than serving. :upsidedow

Hey! Good to hear from you. I was thinking the other day that you haven't posted in a while.

We checked into flying instead of driving, but it is even more expensive. So we are back to driving.

It’s time for an update!!!

It's about time.

In the words of another great Diser...
Where are your priorities? :confused3

Not Saying Nothing

It's probably safer behind the desk anyway...:rotfl2:

I wanna see pix of the tires also. What kind are they? What size? Raised white lettering or solid black? Come on! Don't hold back on us!!! :yay:

Those look like real Crocs to me. What the difference? Lin got me a pair of black ones with a skull & crossbones pin on them. I'm cool now. :smokin:

I started planning my meals for October. The only problem I'm running into is finding restaurants that I've never been to before. :sad2:

We purcahse the DDE Card every year which gives us 20% off food and drink (booze included). It's a heck of a deal for us.

Keep 'em coming blue_ster.

These are the babies I just got for the Manly Mini-Van I drive.

Four brand spanking new P215/70R-15 W, they provide excellent wet/dry traction, a smooth quiet ride, and long, even tread wear with a 40,000 mile warranty, Yeah that is what I said 40,000 miles.

Man I’m having heart palpations just writing this. Oh and the hottest thing is I got full Road Hazard coverage.

Check out the side wall this baby has

Those are friggin' SAWEEET!!! I got a picture of Lin's new wheels and tires at home I'll post this evening. She complained about the "Mothers Day" gift so I had to go out and purchase her some perfume also.

Flying is definately more expensive for us, unless we catch a flight from the U.S. side with a seat sale.

I'm starting to warm up to the idea of driving now - it may not be so bad - I hope! :guilty:
