I LOVE when a person is polite enough to ask about something, gets replies, then says that they will not do xyz and people continue to lecture that person. It really makes others want to ask questions too.
I think that most of the so called lectures are not directed to the OP at all, but to one (or two) posters who mades comments that were, shall we say, unpopular or controversial.
You are absolutely correct, the OP asked a perfectly innocent question received answers and replied that she would not be using bubbles to entertain her child. The continued discussion is simply the product of an open discussion on a public forum. People will continue to discuss and voice their opinions. What is wrong with that? The Disboards is about more than asking a question and spitting out the official Disney rule, policy or description.
The thread will have a life of its own until either people lose interest, or it goes so far off the rails that it gets locked. Such is life on a discussion board. I'm not sure why you have a problem with that.But maybe you were just making your own observation or voicing your own opinion long after the original question was asked and answered?
