Blizzard Beach Do Over - "The Bestest Day Ever!!!! HORRAY FOR HOLLYWOOD! NEW 06/12 Pg 19 and 20

OOPs! Photobucket gave me fits, so I have an update ready and pics finally ready, but it's time to get ready to head to Sea World with the kiddos, so I guess I'll be back with a fish story!

The fish story - this might sound fishy, but of course my lovely I-phone that can be traded in in 10 months for back to an android wouldn't take pictures because the memory is full. I have virtually nothing on my phone. Anyway, I give you my DDIL and her Vlog: A little recap of the first half of the day. She left early - WARNING - they like to discuss boogers and bathroom humor a lot - not sure what you will hear, but I think the kiddos are kinda cute:

Watched the video and you're right... the kiddos are cute.
I especially liked near the end: (Paraphrasing)
"We're heading back so the babies can have a nap and I can get more medicine"
and then her head flops back in exhaustion.
Every parent, everywhere.

ALRIGHTY THEN....DID HE DO 4????

So with Lunch in our tummies, we were ready for our next adventure. It was time for our Safari!

I don't have alot of narrative here - if anyone here can't remember this presentation by heart, let me know and I will try to fill in the blanks.

This picture lets me know I posted the pictures in backwards order - doo-doo-doo-doo - Don't worry - I won't narrate backwards

MORE NEXT POST:

Lucky you! I found more...:P

One thing I was sad about - my buddies the giraffes were far away - they had food in the trees for them near the outlook/lunch area for the Wild Africa Trek - (the folks who paid alot for the experience) so the rest of us had to zoom in to see them. I have always seen them right by the road before.

Heading over to the Pangani Trail

REALLLLLLY LONG EXPLANATION OF SOMETHING...

Ryan was being polite, But Evan seems really interested

Looks like I pretty much missed it too - Mason was heartbroken because he was looking the other way just as the mama gorilla ran by with the baby hanging onto her leg - I do believe I got a nice view of someone's selfie stick - thanks

I think these two are out of order

Along the Tree of Life trail - We didn't do ITTBAB - Ryan hates it and didn't think the kids would like it, either

Amazing

I will leave you here with a PP shot

I hope to be back soon - I have the update done and found that for some reason Chrome is working well - maybe it's the IE that is giving me fits???

No fair! The regular folk want to see them too!

Very short description of the long explanation.

I do believe I got a nice view of someone's selfie stick - thanks

And it wasn't yanked by a CM???

We didn't do ITTBAB - Ryan hates it and didn't think the kids would like it, either

Still haven't done that.

It's really quite good, isn't it?

I will leave you here with a PP shot

Whoa! Scary!

I guess our timing was off - have to remember not to go at lunch time...

:rotfl2:

And it wasn't yanked by a CM???

They were still allowing them then.

Still haven't done that.

It's alot of fun!

I think Evan won that contest! He was most into it for sure Thanks for reading! You get some bonus points for being the most constant on my thread!

Tammie, you sure got some outstanding photos that day! I love your Safari ones a lot. And it's always tempting for me to get a few (hundred) of the Tree. Far more than I'd ever need. But it's fun, eh?

Hey Tammie,

Sorry I've been MIA for a while! Work has limited my DIS time lately. I think I'm all caught up, and I'm glad to see your family was having a good time in AK.

Except for the stroller incident. What's up with that? You'd think having a bag hanging from a stroller would indicate it belongs to you. Weird.

Why Thank you! I think I do like my new camera, even if I can't figure out how to do the dark pics :)
Yes, I'm always impressed by that tree, no matter how many times I see it!

Hi Mark! No apologies needed. I think we all have real life stuff that gets in the way of our Disney fun at times. Thanks for being here, whenever you can!
The stroller napping was pretty shocking.

Here comes the answer - Did he do 4??????

Before I tell you, I found these two gems of family fun that came in the dump shop at Dinosaur

These moments are why we go, right?

We had a yellow band FP for EE so we moseyed over that way. Mason decided that he was done. He “liked it” and he “wasn’t scared” but he “just didn’t feel like any more rides on EE today.”

So Ryan and Dana and I took that one while Papa stayed out with the boys.

They were planning on doing the Bone dig, but it was closed, so they played some games.

When we came back, we found them sitting at Dino Bite Snacks, having ice cream. Such a cute place.

It was time to head back toward Nemo and check on the stroller. When we got back, we had a hard time finding the stroller with the tag on it, and the CM who knew the story was gone. We walked up and down the rows of strollers and spotted it on the other side, moved way down the row. Ryan made an executive decision and grabbed it – leaving the rental behind. He pulled the tag off and kept it in his pocket. By this time it was about 3:30 in the afternoon, so whoever left it there had about 41/2 hours to retrieve it if they were going to. He noticed the tag had the owner’s name, address and phone number, with Make A Wish written on the bottom row. Seems to me that a Make A Wish kid would have use of a rental while in the parks, or a good stroller – probably a medical one??? I just think their needs would have been met???
Again, what would be the conversation – “Hey! Who took our tag off our stroller and put their backpack on it and left it in the same place?” “Well, I’m just going to take their backpack and put it on the ground!” “So There!” :confused3

Of course our stroller was brand new, with no damage. This one? Bent wheel and plastic foot rest mangled a little, like it had been caught in an escalator or something. Did this guy trade with us because he found a way to get an undamaged stroller out of the deal?pirate:

Ryan tried to text the guy to see if he was still in the park and would meet up with us to make the exchange. He said, I’m sure you might think your stroller was stolen, but ours was missing, so I’m thinking you have it. We have yours, hoping you will trade back as we would like to have our own stroller. No answer. He was a little worried that we had done wrong thing, and would find out they didn’t have our stroller after all…. The call was not returned until the next day, when we were at DTD, and the guy was headed for the airport. Really?

We had a little bit of time left before FOTLK, so we stopped by the Dawa bar to see about a little refreshment. We were a little less thirsty after we saw the prices – we were thinking we could get lost on safari or at least order another chicken lunch for the price of that Lost on Safari, so frugal won out, and we found a delicious substitute right across the way at Wanhoji Refreshments! :drinking1they were offering dole whips with a floater of rum for $6. Much better deal. We enjoyed our refreshment and it cooled us down nicely.

We were treated to a little drum concert somewhere around here:

Now it was time for the highlight of every trip to AK! We love us some FOTLK

I think I will reserve that update for next time - my question of the day - We had Yellow Band FP for FOTLK. With having that very VIP status, where were the special FP seats located?

I leave you now with another fun PP pic:

Love all the AK pictures.
Hard to believe the stroller story got stupider but it did. Yes something certainly seems fishy about the whole thing.

All the way back to EE and no more rides ... Awwwww. The safari and trail pictures remind me how much I love being in AK on a beautiful day.

Bring on FOLK. :magnify: Waiting to see if you got a show with my monkey in it.

 Those are great!

Two wild and crazy chicks up front!

Again, what would be the conversation – “Hey! Who took our tag off our stroller and put their backpack on it and left it in the same place?” “Well, I’m just going to take their backpack and put it on the ground!” “So There!” :confused3

I don't even know where to go with that.
:sad2:

Of course. Figures.

:sad2: Do you think it was done that way on purpose?
Sure seems suspicious, no?

We were treated to a little drum concert somewhere around here:

I wonder how often those drums need replacing.
I mean they always get a work out from the kids (adults too.)

With having that very VIP status, where were the special FP seats located?

Ugh. Don't remember the divisions. Hoping it's front row (or close to it) at least.

:littleangel::rolleyes:

Thank you! I really do like the pics I got with the new PAS. Of course, I have already broken the automatic lens cover, so who knows how long I will have this one? I did not learn how to use it before I left home. Which sadly, is why I don't have any Monkey pics. Maybe I will post the ones from the previous trip and tell you they are from this one! :rotfl2: I know, if anyone here is an English teacher, you are cringing by the above partial sentence. It's a vacation trip - live with it! :rotfl:

Yes, the stroller incident is very fishy. I think the guy is an opportunist and should be a politician.

AK is wonderful when it is not too hot and not to wet. It is my not to miss park!

 Those are great!

Fun times!

Two wild and crazy chicks up front!

You know it!

I don't even know where to go with that.
:sad2:

Of course. Figures.

A term comes to mind - it has a D and a B in it... (oops you all thought I was an :littleangel: until now, right?)

I wonder how often those drums need replacing.
I mean they always get a work out from the kids (adults too.)

Funny, I hardly notice them, but the boys gravitate toward them every trip!

Ugh. Don't remember the divisions. Hoping it's front row (or close to it) at least.

Dark pix are hard on ANY camera! I still struggle a lot. The tree- I could spend hours just there taking it all in! So MUCH detail!
