Blizzard Beach Do Over - "The Bestest Day Ever!!!! HORRAY FOR HOLLYWOOD! NEW 06/12 Pg 19 and 20

Sorry for my poor attendance here. Lots of stress going on with the kiddos lately. Hope to get an update done tomorrow!

Of course our stroller was brand new, with no damage. This one? Bent wheel and plastic foot rest mangled a little, like it had been caught in an escalator or something. Did this guy trade with us because he found a way to get an undamaged stroller out of the deal?pirate:

Goodness, no! I'm sure this person had only your best interests at heart.:rolleyes1

He said, I’m sure you might think your stroller was stolen, but ours was missing, so I’m thinking you have it. We have yours, hoping you will trade back as we would like to have our own stroller. No answer. He was a little worried that we had done wrong thing, and would find out they didn’t have our stroller after all…. The call was not returned until the next day, when we were at DTD, and the guy was headed for the airport. Really?

This world would be much better if we didn't have to deal with other people.:sad2:

We had Yellow Band FP for FOTLK. With having that very VIP status, where were the special FP seats located?

In the lion seats? Front row?:confused3

Hi Tammie! I for one, am actually thankful you haven' t updated! LOL! I seem to only be able to cruise my threads about once every 2 weeks now. :(

Hi Tammie! I for one, am actually thankful you haven' t updated! LOL! I seem to only be able to cruise my threads about once every 2 weeks now. :(

I really had to LOL when I read this - exactly what I was thinking.
Somehow I just don't get around to stay on top of things here, let alone update my own theads. ;) That's why I don't mind at all if someone has the same problem. :wave2:

Dark pix are hard on ANY camera! I still struggle a lot. The tree- I could spend hours just there taking it all in! So MUCH detail!

I got some good dark pics with my canons, but the lens cover broke on both of them - now I broke a third lens cover. I'm thinking I need a different kind of lens.

I know - those carvings are so amazing

Standing by. No worries, Tammie.

Thanks for your patience!

That's how I feel when trying to keep up with everyone else too! :sail:

I guess we are all in the same boat!!! :sail:

So, our birthday boy did not do 4 - only 2! :goodvibes I will get a short update done now, and then go back to check the scores - not many are playing, so everyone reading has a good chance of winning!

We arrived about 5 minutes before they opened up for FP guests, so we weren't ahead of the pack or anything, but we were pretty happy with the way things looked.
We had FP+ for this one, so we were allowed in before the madding crowd. (Or was it Maddening, or mad?) Anyway it was so stupid. They let the FP have one set of bleachers, so by the time we got in, the Park Ranger with the clipboard – (you know the type – the one who has to be sure you know they are in charge – “Sorry folks, Wally World is closed!”)
movie-director-smiley-emoticon.gif
Waving us over to the bleachers where we could so very luckily sit in the middle of the top row with our fancy schmancy FP+ What? We weren’t having it.

Here is a picture, with the spot marked that was available for us to sit with our special FP admission

We just headed over to another set of bleachers and sat two rows up from the handicapped seats. What is the point of using a FP if you can’t get good seats? The clipboard lady didn’t argue with us. She looked askance at us and then the whole crowd came surging in and she was too busy to worry about us. We enjoyed the show again as usual. This time the boys were not chosen to be in the show, but that’s okay, they had a turn last trip.

This is for Pat - Not my pic - my camera wasn't working for night shots, but I think this is the shot she is requesting :rotfl:

With our adventure over, we decided to head on over to the resort – we had a birthday cake to eat!!!!

Next: Surprises!

The Contest? Well Some answers need to be noted - I have been really remiss -

1. Which ride did Mason want to do 4 times? - EE !
2. How many times did he ride? 2
3. Which Item did Evan feed his obsession from the gift shop? I forgot to post it - here it is"

He loves those little Yehtis! He has 8 of them at home, and sleeps with them - Fat Yehti, Medium-sized Yehti and Baby Yehti - several of them in all shapes and sizes! He is still asking for 3 more Yehtis for Christmas! :rotfl2:

4. Non wanted adventure? The missing stroller of course!

Here are the answers that scored - Please tell me if I missed one

Ponz - 2 times for the ride - 2
- 1 extra credit for saying he admires me (although flattery usually only works on his thread)
- 2 points for #2
**Honorable mention for the adventure being Pestilence - the missing stroller was quite pesty***

Mark - 2 times on the ride - 2
Liesa - 2 times on the ride - 2
Pat - 2 times on the ride - 2

So the Grand Total?

Kathy - 23
Mark - 15
PKondz - 8
Pat- 4
Liesa - 2

Thanks for playing!

Surprises!

We took the bus back to the resort, and got off at the Carriage House so we could eat dinner in Artist’s Palate. I’m sorry I don’t remember what we had, but Jim and I tried to finish up quickly because we had a party to set up! Our plan was for Ryan and Dana to take the boys over to the arcade, and we would run back to the room and decorate for the birthday! I had brought decorations with me in the suitcase.

I have to admit, this made me laugh later, but I became one of “those people” again at this moment of the trip. (Some of you may remember the bus incident from our last trip) It wasn’t really a melt down, but the gift shop clerk thought it was!

I had ordered a cake and we needed to pick it up here at the snack bar and gift shop. I really wish these two venues were separate at this resort. It is always congested and confusing. I also had some items for package pick up from DTD and MK from the previous two days. I went to the podium where the sign is that says, “package pickup here.” I guess Jim forgot I was picking up the cake, or didn’t pay attention to me saying that we had to pick the cake up here. (I’m going with #2, because #2 is always the right answer in our family.) So here I am, waiting for 4 big shopping bags and a cake, and Jim starts complaining that I was taking too long “shopping” in the gift shop when we needed to get back. He stated he was going to head back without me and get started. I didn’t want to leave my post, so I yelled across the room to him, “I HAVE TO WAIT HERE TO PICK UP THE CAKE!!!!!” :faint:

I hadn’t seen the clerk who was standing behind me. She got a panicked look in her eyes, and ran over to me, trying to calm me down – “Ma’am, you needed to pick up a cake?” She thought I was yelling at her. :rotfl2:

Jim got over his momentary forgetfulness and came over to help me carry the items. Cake in hand, we headed over to the room to get the decorating done.

We got a text that they were headed back, just as we put the finishing touches on the table.

It was so fun to see Mason’s reaction when he came into the room:

Not sure what this was:

Dana brought a #8 candle but forgot the lighter :) So we pretended

The cake was delicious, BTW. I am so thankful to Lurkyloo and her cake thread:
http://disboards.com/threads/official-disney-cake-chatter-part-iv.3261922/

It gave me just the info I needed to be able to have the cake made and delivered, and it was perfect!:disrocks:

We headed to bed for sweet dreams. Tomorrow was going to be a resort day .

**Question of the day – Were we able to complete our quest for the balloon ride?***

Well, it's more polite than "Hey dummy!"

Well, if I keep going as slow as I have been you will be the only one playing so you are bound to catch up! :rotfl2:

Me too! Got just the reaction I was hoping for!

 Whoops! Oh, well. The rest is pretty impressive.

Never heard of that thread.
Thanks for pointing it out! :)

Sure. She has all kinds of great ideas. She comes up with all kinds of ways to have cake and even wrote the Disney Wedding guide for passporter, which is where I first heard about the DIS. It is a circle - like the chicken and the egg.

Oops - it's Lurkyloo - not Lookyloo!

Nope.

Is this your final answer?

So worth going through the whole cake pick up trouble. You did a GREAT job decorating the room too. Love the Mickey cake, we had one from the Boardwalk Bakery and it was delicious.
