My special care data tells me to protect it from late night frosts (done with that I hope!), and temperatures over 30C in full sun. I have it on the deck where it does get some protection from the afternoon sun, since it's supposed to be daylight sensitive.
We had bleeding heart plants (not sure if that is different from bleeding heart vine) growing wild in the neightbors back yard. They were very hardy. She never did anything to them. They grew back every year. They were very hardy.
