Blackout dates?

Just wondering if someone can help me. I'm trying to plan a trip to Disney for my birthday which is on January 2nd. I'm going to go with someone who works at Epcot so she was going to get myself and a friend in for free with their pass. I'm going crazy trying to find out what the blackout dates are and I was wondering if anyone could possibly fill me on either where to find them or what they are.

Welcome to DIS. I'm not sure exactly what blackout dates you're looking for. I assume you mean your friends tickets. I don't think Jan. 2nd is a blackout date for anything, but if I'm wrong this will get you back up to the top of the board.

I did mean for my friends ticket as a cast member. I know there are certain dates they cannot use their tickets (like New Years Eve and Christmas Eve) and certain events they cannot use their tickets for. I just wanted to make sure the 2nd wasn't one of those dates.

They should be able to find out on the cast portal if that is a black out date.

My FL Resident Seasonal Pass is blacked out from 12/22 through 1/5, but I don't think you are referring to that.

Our friends work at WDW - their passes are blacked out for all parks the week of Christmas-New Years - Jan 1., except for EPCOT. However, they cannot take anyone in the parks with their complimentary passes at that time. If you plan on going January 2 - you will be fine.
