Blackberry TOUR advice/reviews..???

Hey everyone!

I need the help of-Verizon Wireless customers especially but anyone can tell me their take on this phone...

I'm looking to get a BLACKBERRY TOUR

through Verizon Wireless-their newest Blackberry device.
I have Verizon and have a Voyager

, the phone is now 'OK', I pay for a package that has email and internet and so with email it sometimes 'works', I'll constantly get email alerts saying I have am email when I DONT! I will even clear out my box etc etc and that won't do it.
Also using the internet is incredibly hard and it takes forever to get to a site and even to navigate! Its horrible!
NOW the next problem I have is that get this--the lightning esp. in the keyboard when you flip it open.. STOPS lightning up.. it constantly flickers like a Christmas light!

SOO! I had Blackberry in the past.. a Blackberry CURVE 8300--HORRIBLE! I had to return it!!!! Long story just didnt care for the phone.

So now i'm willing to try a NEWER up to date Blackberry & was wondering if ANYONE owns the BLACKBERRY TOUR OR ANY Blackberry for that matter???

Any advice/reviews would be greatly appreciated--anything from pros to cons, what you use your BLACKBERRY for etc..!!

ALSO most importantly.. how good does a BLACKBERRY come in handy for anything to do with DISNEY?

I have owned many BBs. Currently own the Storm. It is the first BB that I have owned that has disappointed me. If I were buying a BB now, I would get the Bold...

Thanks for the advice...unfortunately the Blackberry Bold is ONLY with AT&T.. I would definitley go with the Bold but I have Verizon Wireless and I'm not about to play their game and leave Verizon Wireless for $175.00 THEN pay $300.00 for the Bold at AT&T thats the price for a NEW contract.. ahh heck now! LOL these cell phone companies STINK all the way around.. but yeah no offence, I would never get a STORM .. only because I played with it in the store all it did was freeze up wouldn't work to 'par' and I couldn't get my fingers to work w/ typing etc. plus the STORM being all touch screen wasnt a good feature either..

Hey thanks for the info! Yeah I've heard of www.crackberry.com..I'll have to look into that site, I didn't think of it until you mentioned that and it dawned to me I was there AWHILE back when I had my Blackberry Curve..

Aww hey everyones different -- some people LOVE the Storm.. if it works good for you then thats great.. I dont know why I didn't like

Just wondering, how 'safe' or 'real' is crankberry.com? Just in case I want to order a Blackberry case or charger or order something off their site?

The site is quite safe to order from, but to be honest, I've found better prices on cases, chargers, etc. through Amazon!

I got the Tour the day it came out, to replace my storm. I just couldn't deal with the virtual keyboard anymore. I love the Tour. The keyboard is nice, the screen is wonderful.

Awesome-sounds good! So no problems w/ the TOUR!? Anything neat no there for Disney.. like a Disney APP? good to hear that you like it yay! helps w/ my choice!..

I have not looked into any apps yet. But I have had no problems with the phone, I got it on July 12th. I miss the big screen of the storm, but I am sooooooooo much happier with the keyboard.

I do have Lilo and Stitch wallpaper and Wall-E saying his name as my text alert. I got these from Crackberry.com.

My biggest thing is : can you have more then 1 alarm setting? Because one of the things I didn't like on the Curve it didn't let me have more than 1 alarm .. blah! 2nd I sometimes want my WHOLE phone on vibrate at work.. the Curve not everything could be set to vibrate boooo...

Did you have the option to upgrade(how much did it cost you $$).. I'm not eligible for an upgrade to 2010 or 2011 I forget either way I'm far off.. but I'm going to try and figure out something because my Voyager is shot..

I did have an upgrade available, so it didn't cost me that much.

You can set the whole phone to vibrate, I do that when take my kids to the ortho, it will vibrate if it rings, I get e-mail or I get a text.

I have the Tour, it's my first Blackberry and I love it! The emails push easily and I never have any random alerts. I've needed a Blackberry for awhile, but I couldn't stand not having an actual keyboard, so I waited for the Tour.

The only problem I had was that the battery was draining a little too quickly, so I took it to Verizon and they didn't do anything for me. But the problem has seemed to fix itself as I am back to 2 days of battery life.

I say go for it, they will probably let you early upgrade, but you'll have to sign a new 2 year contract.
