Black Friday shoppers how did you do?

I think that I made out pretty well this year. I don't normally brave the stores on Black Friday but ventured out this year and found a few items that I really wanted that were on sale and managed to snag all of them:

Best Buy- 24" Dynex LCD 1080p tv for $80 (normal price $230). Savings of $150.

Kohls-along with early bird sales and a 15% of coupon, I got some good deals here.
-DS wanted a Gshock watch. Got the one he wanted for $67 (regular price $130).
-I was also able to score some SonicCare electric toothbrushes at an unbelievable price (yes, I know its not a typical black friday item, but it was on sale). We got a 3 of them for a total of $85 (regular price would have been $275).
- Not as big of a discount as the others but I picked up a Keurig Mini brewer for $85 (regular price $109)
- I was also got $75 in Kohls cash which I will use next week to pick up a couple more christmas gifts.

Best Buy- 2nd Trip- DH decided he just had to go back and pick up a new Xbox 360 as a gift to himself. Was able to get the 250gb hard drive 360 with a couple of games and 3 month xbox live subscription for $179 (normal price $299 on sale for $199 and he used $20 in best buy reward points). According to him, that was a good deal b/c of the 250gb hard drive...I'll take his word for it!

Made for a long night but I think the savings were worth it!

My daughter had to work until 11:00 pm, so we didn't get to any of the stores until about 12:30 am. The poor girl worked a 12 hour shift at the hospital, which is about 45 minutes from her house. Oh to be so young that you don't worry about sleeping.

Our first stop was Wal-Mart as my daughter was looking for $28 Xbox games. I was looking for the 32 inch TV that was $188 and the 26 inch girl's bike that was on sale for $49 both for my 10 year old grand-daughter.

I went out back to get the bike and they went to hand me a big box. I said no way, was I going to take a bike that wasn't put together. lol
They took my name and phone number and said they would put it together and I could come back later to pick it up. Which made this lady one happy camper.

I bought too much stuff that wasn't on my list but hey Christmas only comes once a year.

We had to go back home and drop off the stuff we bought or we wouldn't have enough room for the bike and other stuff from other stores.
So after the drop off, we went to target to take back the 32 inch TV I bought last week that cost me $239 so I saved $51, which I used to paid for the bike. The only bad thing was while at Target I saw a doll's jeep for only $30, as well as a $20 Scooter for my 10 year old granddaughter. LOL

After that we went to Toys r us so I could buy for my daughter's ex-boyfriend's son. Since they have only been broken up three months. I did end up spending over $150 but I think I did really good for him.
Only bad part about being in Toys r u was I saw more things for the two year old. She is going to be three years old in about 3 month and she has been wanting the fisher price doll house.
I now wished I would have just brought the $200 Christmas dollhouse as I would have saved tons of money, but I didn't.
I ended up buying the grand dollhouse on sale at fisherprice.com for $100 and it looked like it came with 7 rooms of furniture, well it didn't. It only came with 4 rooms.
Did you know they have tons of stuff for that doll house? I do now, as I've brought every room of furniture I could find, plus van, and they even have an RV. LOL

It wouldn't be so bad, but this is the same granddaughter that got the Mickey club house stuff. lol

After that we decide to go to Best buy, while there I saw the Xbox with Kinect and decide now was the time to get one for the living room for granddaughters.
Well daughter looks at ads and said I would get a better deal at Wal-Mart, so back to Wal-Mart we go. Didn't find one for the $199 with $50 Wal-Mart card.
So she said lets look at Kmart they have one for $250. So off to Kmart we go. Woo hoo they have it. So we stop by game stop get a few used games for kinects for the kids.

After that it was back to Wal-Mart to pick up bike, while at the service desk daughter sees an Xbox for $199. So yes we get that one and turn back the one at Kmart.
By the time we got home it was 8 am.
I was very happy, as we didn't have to wait very long any where we went, seems like we got there after crowds had already moved on.

Dh went to Target. There were THOUSANDS of people in line. Once the doors opened, it took him 45 minutes to get inside the store (standing in the back of the line). Of course, the Kinect he was after was already gone.....but then he saw the line to check out. The line that wrapped around each and every aisle in the store. He estimated it would have taken him 2-3 hours to check out--and then he was glad the Kinect was already gone :lmao:

I was pretty pleased with my BF deals this year!

On TG day, at 4 am, my mom and I went to Meijer for an iPad 2. The deal was $80 of a future purchase with the purchase of an iPad 2. While in line, I remembered they had texted me a 10% off coupon - it said not good on doorbusters but it turned out they did not consider it a doorbuster - so I got it for $450 with an $80 off coupon! That was awesome.

While in line at Meijer, Best Buy BF deals went live and I got the $80 24 inch tv deal! I was so happy to not wait in line.

Then my sister and I went to Walmart last night and got everything we wanted including 2 TVs - drove byTarget at 12:30 and people were STILL trying to get in the door so we passed. Took a break and headed back out for Meijer's next round of deals.

We missed it - Just Dance 3 and Disney Universe for $19.99 each - we were 27 and there were only 20. So we drove to Wal-Mart and they price matched it!! WOO HOO!!

Then this afternoon DD and I went to Bath and Body works and got 2 VIP bags in one purchase...I am not sure if we were supposed to but they told me the 1st bag counted towards the total of the 2nd bag - so I only had to spend another $20 to get the second bag!! I was very excited about that.

Best story of my night...at Meijer they had $5 angry bird plushes - the 5 inch ones. There were about 5 larger plush right above some of the $5 ones and then a whole bin of the $5 ones. So they drop the rope and this woman basically freaks out to get the 5 big ones - and caused a whole commotion and scene backing the whole thing up. She thought the big ones were the $5 ones and had been such a biotch that no one corrected her. Then she tried to cut in line for video games with us...we told her no and she could go to the back of the line - there were about 200 people behind us. She stood there irritated that we would not let her in b/c she NEEDED Just Dance 3...so we are all cracking up laughing b/c she was so rude and had those huge Angry Birds in her cart and two other small items but clearly she chose to wait for the Angry Birds instead of the video game. As we walked out of the store - we couldn't help crack up laughing at the large Angry Birds sitting on the side waiting to be restocked!!!

So I didn't start my bf shopping until 1pm today, lol. I did pretty well I didn't need anything in the ads so I wasn't overly concerned w/ whether or not the stores had it. We started at walmart dropped my car off for an oil change and went straight to electronics, I picked up two of the 8g memory cards for 9 each, a samsung 32 inch tv for 278, the lg blue ray player for 49, the blue wii for 99, and two dvd's for 15 and the other was 5 or 10. Right after I picked up what I thought was the last wii they completely restocked the shelf and they still had half a shelf of the blue ray players. We didn't go to target till around 6pm and just browsed they still had several of the tv's and the items that I didn't pick up for my younger dd were not in the sale so it didn't matter if I got them now or later. Not completely sure of my savings but overall I have finished half of my christmas shopping for my two girls.

I only went to Macy's but I have a large ratio of women to buy for so I got great deals. I got the $39 cashmere sweater in the color I wished to give, and I got three $21 sweaters normally in the $60-80 range. These were TOTALLY hidden in the far, far back. I think I was the first to find them as I had great choices.

I then got a few of the throw blankets for $12.99 and $17.99, normally $40 and $50. The jewelry I wanted, I just couldn't find but that wasn't the top of my list so I didn't mind. I got some Spode, too.

I FORGOT to look at the boots. That was the ME thing I wanted so it is best I forgot.

The best part was sharing coupons. I have three that I couldn't use so I happily shared. The lines got really long as the night progressed. At 12:15pm, there were no lines. By 2 am, the lines were 45 minutes long.

We had the best time. On Thursday, we decided we were not going out at all. Well, I get a text at 6:15 that morning from DM, "Are you sure you don't want to go?" :lmao: Call DSIL, we are on the road by 6:30. My aunt and cousin join us by 9 and we did not get home until 6:30 that night. :cool1:
We had a blast. We mainly bought for each other. At Dillard's it was 50% off sale price and Christopher Banks 70% off clearance, so we were all trying on clothes and then stealing them so we could wrap them up for each other. Too fun.
Best find were Godiva candy bars for 45 cents (teacher gifts) and Mickey shirts at Penney's for $5.

Got three tablets on bestbuy.com for $540, incl. tax!

I also bought some jeans at Wal-mart later in the day. They were $8/each, so not a huge savings.

I didn't NEED any big ticket items this year. I already purchased the Xbox 360 Kinect bundle from Amazon ($199) & the Target laptop ($197) a few weeks ago. So my sister & I started at 945p & went he following stores:

CVS: Rolled my ECB's & picked up ALL the free items :thumbsup2

Walgreens x3: We have MANY Walgreens within a mile of each other. So to kill time we went to get their free items & roll our register rewards.

Kohls: Got in line approx 11:05, we were probably 40 or so in line. No issues until 5 min before the doors opened MANY MANY people started coming out of their cars & just standing around the "line" that had approx 100 + people. The doors opened at 12a & they started "budding" in the line. IT WAS AWFUL!!!! People were screaming at the them, they were pushing & shoving, some random guy was blocking them from the door --it was a nightmare. All I needed was the camera/video recorder & I grabbed a Vikings jersey for my son. We were out in 14 min :)

**Carbiou coffee break!

Target: Needed movies, pajamas, & the ping pong table. I was able to get all & then some! I didn't know they had GLEE on sale-so I bought season 1 & 2 for $12.99 each !!! Regular $44.99. I could have stopped there, I was SO happy! :yay: :dance3: I called my sister to see where she was & she was waiting in the checkout lane. I was also in line but didn't see her. The start lines were very confusing. My lane went VERY fast--maybe 15 min. My sister was in another line & it was not moving. I was checked out & had an employee load the table & my sister maybe moved a few spots. So I had to wait for approx 45 min for her.

**Walgreens again :)

Mall: No issues .... I just bought a few things at AE--everything in the store was 40% off.

White Castle for breakfast :rolleyes1

Home: Home at 330 & slept til 9ish & went back out

We started at Target they did wonderful with controlling the crowd let us in waves of 30 people every 15 seconds through two doors. They gave us a peppermint bar to snack on while in line lol. I did not need any big ticket items this year but could have gotten anything from Target. My Walmart still has tv's in the store. We had a great time and got good deals.

My friends and I got to Target at 10:00. We were probably 200 in line. We just sat on a blanket and talked for 2 hours.

Target: pajamas for kids (we have an english bulldog and they had the cutest bulldog pjs for $7). Bought griddle for stepmom. I bought 3 of the giant squinkies sets for $30 (daughter and 2 nieces). I bought DVDs, 2 Sherpa hoodies, and 3 of the iTunes gift cards that were on sale. I also bought 2 of the megabloks sets for $10 (nephew and toys for tots).

Walmart: got there around 1:00. Bought 2 squinkies sets at $10 each for toys for tots, dvd, 3 Rubbermaid sets, $60 drill set for my husband, and the XXL Lego duplo box for nephew for $30.

Macy's: I bought everyone new sheets and pillows, and a soft throw for my daughter.

Stride Rite: bought 3 pairs of boots 1/2 off for daughter. One for now, one for Christmas, and one to grow into.

Gap: bought sweater for myself, 4 work pants for my husband, shirt for my husband at 40% off.

Old Navy: bought pjs for husband, shirt for husband, and lots of baby clothes for nephew for Christmas (what my sister asked for).

Baby boutique: splurge softest pjs for baby nephew at 1/2 off for $20.

Hot Topic: Hello Kitty shirt and plush and owl earrings for daughter all for $20,

Received free $25 gift card to our mall for spending $250, which I will use as a present.

Ate breakfast with girlfriends at 7:30.

World Market: wrapping paper for Christmas and earrings for gifts at buy one get one free. This was great, because we collect gnomes and they have tons of gnome paper this year.

All in all, a great Black Friday!

We waited until about 9:30am to leave the house on Friday. Went to Bath & Body Works and it wasn't crowded at all. Probably more employees than shoppers. Nothing was out of stock. Got everything I wanted.

Then headed to GameStop. Bought Sims3 games with their buyonegetonefree. Got some Wii games, too. XBOX 360 bundles were just too much. Guess I should have done my research and headed to Walmart to get it. I ended up not buying the xbox. I'll wait for the next good sale.

Went next to Play It Again Sports. They had sales on everything in their store. Everything we bought was 20% off. Got used hockey skates for ds11, and scored big on used figure skates for ds12. SP Teri boot with nice blades. Retails about $600 new, and these weren't even broken in, got them for $120. Bought ds11 a new snowboarding helmet & new googles, too.

That was it. Went home & started to do some online shopping, but decided against it. I'll do what I usually do and get my shopping done in a couple of weeks.

We went to Kroger at 11:30 Wednesday evening and got a Shark Vac/Steam for $49.99. It actually scanned at that price early! NO WAIT, the place was empty.
We also were lucky enough to find the TV we had a raincheck on at Target Wednesday and got that!

We did really good. There wasn't anything we needed since we got more of our big items done already so it was more going just to have fun. We got a game for the PS3, a PS3 wireless controller, several Transformers sets, 1600pc Lego box, Cars slippers, several Hot Wheels 8-pack sets, a couple of ear phones, mini wireless mouse, SD card, girls 16" bike, remote control helicopter, Bey Blades, basketball, mini chopper, and an android phone for my dh. Online I got a Belle costume for dd from the Disney store, PS3 Disney Universe, and the DVD/BluRay combo of Coraline. There was more I got previously, but these were my black Friday deals. Love these sales!

There were THOUSANDS of people in line. Once the doors opened, it took him 45 minutes to get inside the store (standing in the back of the line).

I was at Walmart at 6:30pm waiting for the XBOX 360 Kinnect bundle. I was number 28 in line, they were very organized, at 10pm the sale went live and I got my XBOX, got the $50 gift card, and then went to the front to pay for a few things separately using the $50 gift card and walked out at 11:20pm. Not too bad.

Then woke up at 4am to head to the Coach outlet and Nike outlet with my husband for my xmas gift and he needed new shoes for work (he's an ER Technician so he wanted new sneakers).

All in all, I did well!
