Black Friday shoppers how did you do?

I started my shopping around 7pm went to CVS, got 3 bags of items, such as M&Ms, medicines, toothpaste, coffee drinks, etc. Spent $25 and got $31ECB.

Went to Wal Mart around 9:30pm. The main thing I wanted was the V tech game system(20ea) and Leapfrog Tag system(20ea). I got 2 of each and 3 games(10ea) and 2 books(8ea). Turned the corner and there was 1 of the Minnie Mouse scooters sitting there, so I grabbed it too. Got a Baby Alive for $9.99. Wii Epic Mickey (15).4 boxes of Chex Cereal ($.87ea). Went to meet up with DH and he had the waffle maker (2.??) 2 of the 3 pot crockpot kind of things ($18.??) Disney story book (5) Coffee pot ($6.??) I think that is it. The store was a pretty packed, but not too bad. The only weird things was someone let off a stink bomb in the electronics department. People were gagging, laughing and shirt over face.

then went over to Walgreens and got most of their free after RR items. They still had all of them, but a few of them I know we would use. I also had some coupons, so after RR I was paid a few dollars to take home 2-3 bags of items such as razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hairties, etc.

I got all I was wanting and more. Went and hung out with some old friends until around 1am and headed home and was asleep in bed by 2am. Now I am getting ready to head to the mall, nothing I really want but have a few $10 off $10 coupons.

I went out because my husband's grandmother asked me to do her shopping for her. Her budget was $150 and she wanted me to buy each child at least 3 items (3 children total). We went to Target at 4am and it was practically deserted. I bought two of the Rapunzel toddler dolls that come with a dress for your child ($19 each, normally 34.99 each) and two chutes and ladder board games (3.98 each) and used my red card so I saved another 5% and the total was around $48 including tax. We then headed to Kohls where I purchased two Barbie VW Beetles that came packaged with a Barbie doll (19.99 each) plus two color wonder sets ($6 each, 50% off). I had a 15% off coupon and a ten dollar off coupon so the total at Kohls was only $38 plus change. We then headed to PacSun at a small local mall. They were having a buy one item, get second item 50% off sale. I bought 3 shirts/sweaters and a necklace for a teen girl for $58.02 including tax. We were done and home by 9am. Not too shabby and I came in a tiny bit under budget with 4 nice items for each child.

Had a great time at Walmart and we got some incredible deals. It was a fun night!

We got-

Emerson 40" TV for 248.00
Trampoline with enclosure- 165.00
LG Bluray- 49.00
Black & Decker griddle- 9.99

This was my first Black Friday shopping, so I didn't really know what to expect. I took my older two kids with me. We got in line at Target at 10:30, and were 300th in line. By midnight, the line was more than double that.

Target employees were a hoot! One of the managers dressed up like the crazy lady in the commericals:). They gave out free candy bars (a highlight for my son). We did the wave etc. It was fun!

The store experience was pretty efficient. They let 30 people in at a time. They had 44 of the good sale t.v.'s. We weren't really hoping to get one (although my dd had high hopes to grab one and sell it). The only bad experience was that you had to get in an electronics line, and that was a longer wait than waiting for the store to open! I got in line, and then sent my runners to get my sale items! I had other shoppers quite jealous that I had my two kids so well trained! I had wanted an iTouch to use my 10% coupon, but after waiting forever with the electronic line not moving, I decided to bail. My 11yo dd was getting very tired, understandably. I ran into a friend way back in the electronic line, and she offered to get my iTouch for me!

So, I got everything we wanted!!! I got the pots/pans for half price ($39), the vacuum (half price..$25), some of the cheap towels, a bunch of DVD's for $13 and Wii Games for $15. Got dd and dh some character lounge pants for $10, as well as some toys for my nephews and daycare crew. And my friend got my iTouch for me (10% coupon on top of the sale and $40 gc).

So, all in all, it was a great experience! The kids want to go again next year.

From the talk in line, it sounds like Walmart was insane since they didn't have one line due to the store offering sales at different times, and our TRU was also insane. I'm glad we chose Target, which was very organized.

I started online shopping Tuesday and finished up online shopping this morning when Walmart went live (snagged the legos at 3am on the nose). Between online shopping we were in and out to various stores and we got everything we were after. I was really happy that we didn't have to do any 'battle' over things or sleep out all night for some big ticket item. We snagged all of that stuff online. I even did my Lowe's order online and picked it up at 5:20am this morning (gave them 20mins to pull it! LOL) and they even PM'd the triple crockpot from Walmart for me even though it was a different brand. I had store credit to use at Lowe's so that made it a real savings and DH is returning the triple crockpot to walmart that he got last night (poor guy had to endure our nutty walmart shoppers to snag it for me!).

Plus we got free breakfast at Sam's Club, free chicken mini's from Chick-filet at the mall, free snowglobes from JCP, 2 free $5 GCs from Half Priced Books, 2 free video games from Cash America (pawn shop sends texts for free things! LOL), 2 free burgers from McDs (another text freebie) and I think I'm forgetting some other freebie... LOL

The only bad part about this week is that I've had 7hrs of naps over 3 nights. I'm kinda loopy now but I don't want to nap anymore, I just want to get to bed on time tonight.

Went to Ashley Furniture with my fiancee and we got a new bedroom set.
(saved 25%...woo hoo)

All the Black Friday shopping we cared to do! :)

Sam's - meh. Nothing really. Just went to use my $20 certificate I got for upgrading to plus the other day that was only good today.

Kohl's - saved $96, got $15 Kohl's cash:thumbsup2, stood in line for about 40 mins. No pepper spray - everyone seemed to be in a good mood. They extended the 1pm sale until 230 since the lines were so long. And probably because there would be a riot if they didn't :lmao: Took DD for the first time to Black Friday - she liked it! Now I have a shopping buddy:lovestruc

I didn't do any of the midnight or early morning stores BUT I was able to get a few deals on Amazon including a laptop for my DD13 for less than $300; a Pandigital tablet for my DD11 for $80 (I know it's not a great one but hey she doesn't need an expensive one); a book for my DH; the inflatable shark fo $30 for the family (Toys r us had them for almost $50) & Just Dance3 for $29.99. I really enjoyed not having to go out in cold :lmao:

My DH and I did venture out to Kohls around 11 am and got a crockpot, coffeemaker for him since his died this morning, double 1.5 quart crockpot for our annual holiday open house and a Calphalon pan that I've been wanting all for $152 after the % discount and it will be more than that after I get the rebates.

I'm mostly finished with presents  with the exception of stocking stuffers and a gift cards to Hollister for my DDs and a couple of hostess gifts for the parties that we're going to during the holidays.

especially how Walmart had some things at 1opm and some at midnight etc. The crowds were INSANE here compared to years past.

It used to be great....not so much this year. And many items were ONLINE yesterday.

Scored a great camera online before I went out.

Walmart. I didnt' go til 10 because I didn't want to spend 2 hours waiting ... but they had 119 of the kinect 4gb xbox bundle I was hoping for.. and they were all wandering around with them shortly after 10 all gone. Knew it but was hopeful. I had bought it on Amazon just in case and after tax and ship at walmart I am only out $36. That's worth the 2 hours I would have been in line!

Still scored LOTS of stuff.

Left before midnight...line at Best buy was CRAZY so I got coffee and decided to head to Target....HA HA HA.....by the time I got there at 12:20 I figured the crowd would be in and heading out with doorbusters...I was just wanting the piddly stuff....the line wrapped all the way around the building JUST TO GET IN the store ...it was obviously standing room only and they had to wait for people to exit before they could enter. CRAZY. My niece had gone to another Target and she was in a long line but went an hour before opening...she had no problems at all. So she bought me some of the stuff I wanted. :O)

so I went back to Best Buy. Still crowded but the LINES were excessive again....maybe I was Grumpy...figured I'd hit HHGregg just down street....no one shopping but HUNDREDS in line....ok ok...Kohls is safe....the line to check out wrapped around the store. people were waiting an hour to check out. yikes....left there again cause I just wanted a couple things...back to Walmart...much quieter now as it was after 1am. Got some of the midnight doorbusters...went home...

Placed a Best Buy Order for the Katy perry Xbox and the $100 itunes for $80 then placed my online Xmas cards order at Sams....I had premade the card and so I just had to click it .... 100 6x8 cards for $15! Sweet....sadly I was going to order luggage and get itunes gift cards but never got around to it and now they're sold out online....darnit!

went to bed....2:30 ish

woke up and went to Sam's for the Heys Luggage set + more $100 for $80 itunes gift cards that I forgot to order online [grrr] and they had free coffee & danish...

then hit the Linens n More [like BedBathBeyond]....got a free $10 gift card upon entering. Cool. Had coupon for 25% everything [15% appliances]. Bougth way too much stuff...

hit Meijer for some sheets, angry bird stuffies, etc.

TJ Maxx just because [they don't have BF deals]...

now it's 1030 am and I'm too tired anymore...hit panera for a iced green tea and egg&cheese bagel....

I had planned to Hit Walgreens and Steinmart and maybe B&N...but I had spent way too much and was way too tired by then...

So...if they continue the staggering, i will stay home in my pjs and try my luck then go out in am to a few easy stores.

There were many deals to be had online. Even Kohls did their black friday deals and gift cards per $50.

The crowds in the wee hours were much smaller this year, I guess because so many of the big-ticket doorbusters started at midnight. I don't mess with the super-crowded stores like Best Buy and Target and nothing is worth shopping on Thanksgiving to me, but there were a few things I wanted from other places.

I got DS's Xbox bundle from Best Buy online yesterday for the BF price of $199 - $100 saved on the top "wish" on his list.
.

Glad you guys had a great time but this is what I don't understand.

I got that same deal from Best Buys 2 weeks ago on Veterans Day? and since I got it in Delaware where I work I had no sales tax on it.

I guess I'm just not getting the hype. This year the big gifts in my house are Ipad, kindlefires and iphones. no need to get up at dawn for those.

I did see some real good deal on TV's but I wasn't in the market for those.

This was my first BF too and I got almost everything I wanted. Only thing I didn't last night at Walmart was the LG wi-fi blu-ray because our store didn't get any in. Worked out great as I went online to Walmart.com and got a Magnavox blu-ray, wi-fi for $68 with free home delivery!

Got the gradson's bike, granddaughter's car DVD player and 2 32" TVs. Watched the fight over the $6 sheets! Now that was something!

I started my BF (BTh?) shopping @ 9 am Thursday with a trip to Walgreens and CVS.

I was at Walgreens as it opened and got a bunch of things that were free after register rewards. I ended spending approximately $30. Then I purchased 2 Happy Nappers (B1G1) and 2 Mickey drums (B1G1) with my register rewards. I also had to purchase a few candy bars (stocking stuffers!) so that I could use all my RR. Spent all but $1.00 of my register rewards, so toys were free!

CVS...opened at 7 am, was wayyyyy picked over. I did get the Wet and Wild nail polish set for $.88 (normally $5) and a few other things. The cashiers had snagged most of the free items and hidden them behind the counter. I was a nice customer and so they were more than happy to share them with me! :) Spent approximately $43, but have more than $40 Extra Care Bucks to spend now.

After dinner, I headed to Walmart. Got there at 10 PM. BIG MISTAKE!!! I was going for a few items, but mainly wanted a video game for my son. People were insane!:scared1: Throwing things and running through the aisles. I got out of there quickly, after I determined the video game I came for was already gone. NEVER AGAIN, WALMART!!! :headache:

Took a drive to the local Target about 10:20...line was very long to get into the store, and I only wanted a few little things from there. Decided to head into a different town with more variety.

Best Buy was my next destination... Am I crazy or what? Got in line about 10:45. It was a bit chilly and I wished I had a warmer jacket and gloves, but had a good time talking to the people around me. Got into the store about 12:30. Got the 2 games I was going for (Battlefield 3 & Assassin's Creed Revelations) Also picked up a new Batman game that two guys recommended to me while in line. Hoping my son likes it! Spent $100, saved $80!!! :goodvibes

I was on a roll...headed back to Target! :rotfl2: It was 1 am and I do believe I had lost my better judgement by this point. Picked up the toys for my younger son (Duplo blocks, a Magnadoodle thing, and a Leapfrog cel phone counter) along with a pair of PJ's and shirt for my teenager. Trudged to the front of the store (would have paid big $ for a shopping cart by this time) only to encounter a really super de duper line to check out... :headache: One hour later, I am done.

So, yes, I had fun...yes, my legs and feet are sore, and yes, although I didn't get everything I was headed out for, I am happy with my Best Buy run!

In summary:

Walmart :sad2:

Best Buy :cheer2:

Target :)

CVS :)

Walgreen :yay:

One PS... the occupants of Walmart... more than a few of them smelled as if they had been imbibing in the Wacky Tabbacky... I wonder if the chip and cookie aisles got completed wiped out too?

:rotfl2:

I got a BIG thing this morning. We got the Maytag french door bottom freezer for $999 at Menards. Yea! it's in the kitchen getting cold right now.

Went to Walmart before 10 and there were crowds of people around the DVDs but they were nice and passed the ones I asked for back to me. Unfortunately DH and DS13 and I were so tired we ended BF with several of the same movies. Checked out by 10:05. Missed the 600 thread count sheets because I thought they were sateen, ugh, but found out later they were not.

Met nice people in the Kohls line and heard a rumor about 2 women fighting in a Walmart somewhere over underwear and one got a bloody nose. I had no idea Walmart underwear was so coveted.

Got lots of things at Kohls including a flatware set for 16 for $47. Love it. Checked out at 12:09.

Target was a zoo and employees kept telling us to find things in the wrong spot. Not a good experience. Sweat running down my back from running aimlessly around.

Took a nap in the truck. I may not do BF next year if it starts so early and has a big empty gap before the other sales.

Lots of nice people in line. DS13 said he is never going again. This was his first trip. He was mightily impressed with full parking lots, people parking in the grass, people grabbing, and staying awake most of the night.

First I went to Kohls.com and found the Heys suitcase with Disney Princesses, for $66, plus I got 15% off and $15 in Kohls cash. I ordered it Wednesday night. On Thursday someone posted a 20% off code :cool1: so I ordered it again with the larger discount - the original Kohls cash will be invalid once I return the first one, but effectively I'm still getting a $160 suitcase (why so $$?) for $41.50! :thumbsup2

At TRU last night, I got everything I wanted/planned on: 2 DS games for the price of one; a Lego storage drawer unit; a Lego mini-figure; a Buckaroo! game for DD; a Disney Treasury Storybook all about Toy Story; WINNIE THE POOH and the new CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY DVDs. I was also able to use a $5 off coupon for Pooh, and a $3 coupon DS got for his upcoming birthday. Total: $104.99. I was happy! :thumbsup2

I still want to get CARS 2 and HARRY POTTER #8 on DVDs, but I haven't seen a deal that grabs me yet for CARS 2, and Best Buy has a good price on HPATDH2 if we can get there (not planning to go crazy!)

May sound odd but the only thing we went out for (and this was in the afternoon after all of the chaos) was to look at a fridge at Lowe's

Did get it - was $2999 got it for $1799 plus tax minus the 5% for using the Lowe's card.

Dh was talking to the sales guy and asked if they would take the old one away for free - I rolled my eyes - he should know better. I asked the guy if the delivery guys would put the old one in the garage for me (and they will) - dh looked puzzled - DD said "dad we're going to list it on craigslist!" At least someone in my family "gets it" :-) Not sure how much the old 11 year old fridge is going to go for / bring in but hey I'll take it!

I started at Old Navy (got there at 11:55 pm and the line was around the building). From there I went to Macy's, Target, Best Buy, Walmart, JC Penney, Sephora, Victoria Secret, Disney Store, Michaels, Kohls and LL Bean and got home around 6 am. I didn't run into any crazies, but did see some long lines. Toys R Us had a huge line when I went by around 12:30 am and when I went past it again at 2 am it looked even longer!

I must have hit Walmart just right because it was dead when I got there (around 3 am).

I got everything I went out for (plus some extras). I wasn't going for any of the big items though as I bought DS' laptop/tablet a couple of weeks ago (HP laptop plus the 32 gb touchpad) and DD's Blackberry Playbook on-line yesterday.

Disney gift cards? Like gc to disney store or gc to target with disney characters on them?

They are Disney gift cards... for anything Disney. You can pay for your vacation with them. I've been saving them up and buying them with my Target card for 5% off. With the prescription rewards all the ones I found today were 10% off. It's funny, when you go to buy a stack the cashiers always know exactly what you are doing!

Got in line at Targt about nine--we were # 61, 62 and 63. Target was very organized and was wonderful about not letting people cut. They came out from the beginning and said people had to be IN LINE, not waiting in their cars in then jumping in line with you. This made us very happy as one person had just had 5 of her friends join her after we had already been there a 1/2 hour. They let us in 30 at a time, then timed it for 30 seconds before the second group...and so on. DH got a 40" TV for $265. These and the 46" were gone within minutes. (They did put out other 40" that were $399--which is probably what the PP saw later in the morning.)

We also got a PS3 bundle, some other odds and ends. I think my favorite thing is the King sized fluffy blanket I got for $24. I wanted a chocolate throw for the family room--I am in love with this blanket and may go back to see if there are more.

Went to Walmart @ 1:30. It was dead! Most of the big ticket items were gone, but they did have plenty of the 32" tv's for $188 left. Got a few items and headed to Toys R Us. It was packed and there was nothing there we needed so browsed and left. Ran by Kohl's. There were people milling around but lines were short...like a typical day at Kohl's. Got a $14 programable coffee pot and $30 under the cabinet cd/radio/ipod player. I have wanted one of these forever and would never buy it.

Headed home to set up our new TV--then went to bed about 5AM. This is the first time DH has been able to go with my friend and I--he's hooked. We just love watching people. Had a great time and got everything we wanted--except the waffle maker for $3 at Walmart. :rotfl:

I was happy with my day. I've done the 4AM BF for the past few years. There just wasn't anything that I absolutely HAD to have this year, so I didn't go out last night and this morning I left my house at 6AM.

Went to Target first. Wanted the single serve Mr. Coffee by Keurig. It was $79 but you got a $30 Target Card back. They were sold out. Went to another Target later on and they were sold out, too. That was the only thing I wanted to get today, that I didn't.

Went to Five below and got a pillow pet for $3.99 (although they called it something different). It's for my little nephew so he won't know the differentce between it and the $20 ones elsewhere. Also picked up a cover for the Nook eReader, which I got at B&N for $79 (had some money left on an old GC so that helped.)

Then went to Macy's and picked up 2 "skater syle" T-shirts for another nephew. They were regularly $19, on sale for $9. The one I picked up was clearance at $4.99. The other one had no tag, so the salesman charged my $4.99 for that one, too.

Went to Michael's and got some baskets (which I'm making up for nieces and their DH's). Also got some artkits at 50% off plus had a 30% off coupon. Bought a decorated wreath for the front door, too. Saved $35 at Michaels with the coupon, not counting the stuff that was 1/2 off.

Had to go home to empty the trunk. Then went to Kohl's and picked up dish towels and dish cloths. (My mom gives them to all the grandkids every year for their houses. It's become a tradition, so I had to pick them up for her).

Went to another mall and got some PJ's for my mom (1/2 off). went to Aeropostale and got 2 T-shirts, a thermal and 2 hoodies, all 50% off plus an additional 20%. In another specialty store, got a tie-dye shirt for my niece for 25% off.

Went to Modell's and got 2 pairs of Men's hiking boots. They were buy 1 pair at reg. price (the one's I chose were $29), get the 2nd pair for $10.

I spent about $350 and probably saved close to $300, so it was a good day. A long day, but a good day.
