One PS... the occupants of
Walmart... more than a few of them smelled as if they had been imbibing in the Wacky Tabbacky... I wonder if the chip and cookie aisles got completed wiped out too?

The 2am crowd was about the same. I usually am not one to notice what other people are wearing unless it's extreme, but please at least change into a shirt you haven't been cooking in all day before heading out. I hope they were there to take advantage of the $5 shirts.
Yes, at my Target they are up by the registers. There is one endcap that has Target gift cards and then below those there are random other stores and restaurants. I've had people here tell me their stores had them in the back by the cd's and movies. If you use your Target debit or credit card you get 5% off, if you add a prescriptions reward coupons (5 things filled) you get another 5% for a day. I was skeptical about the discounts at first, but it really takes the % off.
Thank you for mentioning this! I had never looked at Target. I know CVS sells Disney GC's in my area and we use our ECB to buy these here and there, but I will need to look for these the next time I go to Target.
I am happy everyone was able to get their items and for a good deal, either from home or in the store last night, and so far we all seem to be safe and accounted for.
The only issue I've heard that happened in my town, aside from the known crowd issues at Walmart and
Best Buy was at our local Nebraska Furniture Mart. I went 4 years ago, and almost had my first and only panic attack, I think? It was the most insane thing I'd ever seen, no line going in just a mass of 2500 people entering at once. I was young and had more tolerance at that time and did get some of what I went there for, but the line to check out was almost 4 hours long! By that time, it was the point and I waited, but again young and stupid. Never again, not even if they handed out hot chocolate and free donuts would you catch me there!

This year my 20 year old brother wouldn't listen to me and headed to the Nebraska Furniture Mart. I think his facebook post sums up what he found...."I'm pretty sure I'm staring into the eyes of the apocalypse.....my God...I love you all remember that." Of course I responded with a "I told you so."

I later saw on the news there was a small group of "occupy" protesters that went into the store and started pulling items off the shelves and then blocked the area from shoppers.

Honestly if you want to protest fine, but think before you stage a protest like this in a store right next to the hunting store that was handing out free rifles to 100 lucky customers 2 hours beforehand.

The police were called, protesters were removed and the madness went back to normal. By the end of it, my brother didn't get a thing he wanted and learned a valuable lesson. Your older sister is always right.
