Black Friday 2013 Thread?

Is this going to be the discussion page, or is someone going to start posting the ads.

I know there was an "official" thread last year where someone posted links to the ads. I was actually looking for that when I started this thread. If they start that one up, we can move the conversation over there, but I'm not tech savy enough to update all the links LOL.

Any leads on tablets? Think I want the Nexus 10.
Is there a centralized site that lists BF sales?
It's probably blasphemy on this site - but have never gone shopping on BF before...
Still think I might just do it on-line, but it never hurts to be prepared, right?
TIA!

Looks like Build a Bear and Game Stop are posted, as well as the Target Toy Catalogue. It's gonna go fast now! :cool1:

Yea, a Black Friday discussion thread! I've enjoyed reading what everyone is shopping for. The main thing on my list is the K75 Keurig. DH and I have wanted one for years. It's going to be a joint Christmas gift for us! Kohl's has it for $159.99, but I think it'll go cheaper. Have to keep my eyes peeled.....

Also need some travel mugs from Teavana, and a few DVDs for filler. Not sure if Teavana has any BF deals.....haven't shopped at that store in years!

Even though stores open Thanksgiving night, I'm still a diehard Black Friday shopper. We have our tradition of eating pumpkin pie, drinking coffee, and watching Home Alone Thanksgiving night. :goodvibes (Nothing could tear me away from that.)

It'll be interesting to see what websites will have deals.....last Thanksgiving day, many stores had BF deals online. I really liked getting on my laptop Thanksgiving morning, and getting BF deals early! That allowed me to hit less stores on BF, and I didn't have to wait for Cyber Monday.

Great idea! I can shop while DH cooks!

I miss the Old Black Friday...you know when it was on FRIDAY!! I miss getting up at 2AM and heading to stand in line. Talking to everyone in line...the place handing out coffee and doughnuts. Now its finish Turkey day dinner, cleanup and head to the stores. I HATE IT!!

Me too! I refuse to shop on actual thanksgiving day, but as soon as the clock strikes midnight, my DD and I hit the stores.

My favorite thing for Black Friday the last two years has been the lightning deals on Amazon. Actually they started them Thanksgiving day last year because I had to excuse myself from the dinner table to try to get in on Brave DVD for $8.:rolleyes1

Man last year when sales stated at 10pm and midnight we left our house to line up around 6pm thanksgiving evening but with stores opening at 8pm Thanksgiving night we live have to leave our house even earlier! Thankfully we eat early, but I really do not like the stores opening so early, I much prefer a midnight opening or the way it used to be with 5/6am staggered openings.

I did some Shopping early last year online and avoided going to several stores and even though I do love doing some stores online Thanksgiving day, I still love lining up and going to physically do BF shopping.

Glad to have found this thread!! I go out every year with my Sister in Law and we have so much fun! We don't go to be first or get limited items, we just go to have fun and shop! :)

I am, however, looking for the Disney Infinity game for Wii U...trying to find it the cheapest way possible! LOL Would like to get a deal on it somewhere, but definitely buying it for Christmas either way! :)

My mom, dd, sister and I will be in New York City for Thanksgiving this year and are staying at a hotel in Herald Square. Know what else is in Herald Square???? MACYS!!! We fly out late Friday morning so we know what we will be doing Thursday night! I love Black Friday shopping and was a little bummed that we would miss it this year since we'll be out of town but not anymore.

My DH and I just purchased Disney Infinity for our Wii at TRU for $60 and that price is for the Wii U too! The sale is through this Saturday and the same exact week last year we purchased Skylanders, at TRU, for DS for a spanking deal. As I watched all the ads for TRU up to BF 2012 they never had the same great price so I am hoping that history repeats itself this year and I scored the best price again :)!

If I recall correctly, I got Skylanders Giants Starter Kit last year for 39.95 at Walmart. It would be awesome if they dropped Swap Force to that price. The ads should be out in the next few weeks.. fingers crossed!

I follow the Lifehacker.com/dealhacker deals regularly but they are doing special BF coverage. They are asking what we want to see http://gizmodo.com/what-do-you-want-to-see-in-our-black-friday-coverage-1448706605 so you can ask questions.

I can not go out early in the mornings. My body just will not do that anymore. But I do love a good online find.....after the sun comes up! I am not looking for any one thing in particular this year. I am sure once the news says what the must have is....I will have to have it. Until then, I think I'm good.

Thank you so much!! That is definitely the cheapest I have seen it since it came out!! Thanks again!!

Not a problem and I hope you were able to get it! If you have a Game Stop near you the the BF ad leak is out and they're having Infinity for $59.99 too just in case you weren't able to get it from TRU.
