Good Morning Black Team

I am happy to report that I lost 2 1/2 pounds this past week

Trampslady has this to report
FIVE POUNDS! I lost five pounds last week! Woo hoo!!!!!!! I'm so excited, and I'm motivated to keep it up!

Challenge for Week 2

If you haven't started to work out now is the time to do it. PLease commit to at least 10 minutes a day. Hopefully it will be more but let's all try for 10 minutes a day.

I hope all the rest of the results are as great.

Please report your Tuesday weight to me by midnight EST today. I need the numbers ASAP so that I can compile our team weekly % of weight loss. The team % of weight lost will be compared to the other teams and the weekly team winner will be named.

Wednesday morning (or after I get all team member weights) I will publish a chart of team members and their % of weight lost. I will not be publishing total pounds lost. If you wish to share # of pounds lost that is up to you, but remember that a math wizard can use that number and your % of weight lost to calculate your beginning weight. (Like anyone has extra time in life to be concerned about calculating that).

Be healthy and I am looking forward to getting your good news soon.

I'm down 1.2 this week, and definitely eating better the past few days, so hoping to have a bigger loss next week. This is the last day of my 2 1/2 week vacation, so I'm hoping to start work with a good healthy eating routine. Plus with my new job, I can get a walk in every morning after I get my son off to school.

Good morning Black Team! I lost a little over 1 pound last week. :)

I never did introduce myself on the Week One thread. :blush: So here goes. My name is Carole; I am a 47 year old medical technologist who specializes in microbiology. DH and I have been married for 22+ years and have no children. We have a very sweet kitty and one strong willed Schnauzer. We both LOVE to eat and aren't fans of exercise. We are both trying to eat better and get moving!

I lost 90 pounds several years ago and have since gained about half of that back. :sad1: I am returning to the method that worked for me - keeping a food log and exercising. I wear a pedometer - my goal is 10,000 steps a day. I don't always reach that level but wearing the ped. reminds me to keep moving, take the stairs, etc.

Anyway! Good luck to all of us! I know we can do it!!!! :cheer2:

Good morning BLACK TEAM. Sorry I haven't been around much but I've been trying to get organized with the new school year and everything. (Guess I'm not doing such a good job-huh?)

I'm happy to report a 3.5 lb loss. I got to see a # on the scale today I haven't seen in a year. :cool1: :cool1:

Lets go BLACK TEAM LOSERS. :cheer2:

I'm happy to report that I'm down 4.5 pounds for the past week. I've committed myself to getting up each morning and working out before I do anything else. It's made a definite difference, and I'm feeling better already. :banana:

Congrats to all the losers this week. I am still waiting to hear from people so please post or pm me your weights as soon as possible. I need to figure out this week's percentage. I will post it first thing tomorrow morning so I need all the weights by midnight tonight.

Good Morning All! I'm down a total of 3. I'm a definately committed to this week's challenge. DH and I normally walk at night, but we got up this morning and walked too! Hopefully this will become habit, at least a few times in the morning in addition to our evening workout! I HATE to get up in the morning!!! I am so not a morning person!!!

DH and I signed up for the 5K in January at AK for marathon weekend! I'd love to know if any of my Black Team Losers will be there too!

Hi! I lost a pound this week. I have been walking three miles a day. This week I week I will consintrate on my portion contol.

DONAC--I'm totally in on the exercise challenge! In fact, I just did a 10-minute walk with friend to blow off some steam. And, I've got another 2o-minute walk scheduled today and a 30 minute elliptical journey as I watch BL tonight!

Just logged a 40 minute elliptical workout--that's 50 minutes today! Yeah! It felt good, too!
 
I walked this morning for 30 minutes and I will do the same tomorrow morning.

I still have not heard from everyone/. I know that some are going to be away so I will take what I have and post the total percentage tomorrow morning.
 
Hi everyone
Glad to see everyone did so well the first week. I lost 2 pounds :banana: ,I know my weight doesnt count for the group but Im proud of myself.I had a few complications with my pregnancy the past few days but so far Im okay,I just cant exercise for a while,so hopefully the weight will still come off, Im so nauseous and have really bad heartburn but Im drinking flat ginger ale and having a few pretzels in the am.

My 1st doctors visit went okay yesterday,told me to eat healthy,avoid caffeine,sugar,and to rest,HA,not much rest going on with two kids under 3 but Im trying,lol

keep up the good work everyone and I will check in again tomorrow or the next day

Good morning everyone!
I sent in my loss for the week (3lbs) but forgot to post. I definitely accept the challenge, I exercise already! Yesterday I did my usual 60 minute workout, but it was my training day. I'm doing the Couch to 5K for 30 minutes and then walking an additional 30 minutes (I walk the entire 60 on off days). I want to do the 5K in WDW in January (postesf I'm in with you) but since I need surgery on my knee, I have to get back into running slowly. I'm not worried about the distance for the 5K, I walked 6 miles on Saturday, but I want to run the whole thing. I was training for the half marathon a couple of years ago running 6-8 miles a day when my knee gave out. :sick: Until I have surgery, I won't be able to do the half marathon but I'm hoping I can at least do the 5K!

I will be walking another hour after class this morning. Hope everyone has a great day and great losses!!

I am still missing 6 people from my list who have not reported. So far we have lost a total of 80.4 pounds this week.

I will have the official percentage some time today.

I walked again this morning so that makes it 4 days in a row.

Did you all get your 10 minutes in yesterday. Try to get it in today.

The captains are trying to decide when to end this challenge. The show runs until Christmas.

We are thinking about the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I would love to see it go until the Tuesday before Christmas but that is because I have a doctor's appointment two days after Christmas.

Congrats to all on their weight losses this week! You all are doing a phenomenal job!

Donac--I vote for keeping this challenge going as long as possible! Knowing we have to report back AFTER Thanksgiving would be a definite motivator.

I just finished 40 minutes on the treadmill. I've exercised first thing every morning (except Sunday) since this challenge began. I feel so much better getting myself moving before I wake the rest of the household.
