Good morning everyone.

I just got a 55 minute walk in and am starting my new job at 10. It will be good to get back to work and better for my eating habits to be in a routine.
I would like to see the challenge go through the week before Christmas as well. It would definitely help keep me motivated over thanksgiving. And even if we had a gain over thanksgiving, we'd have a few weeks to get it off.

Good morning black team. It looks like were OFF to a good start. I got in 70 minutes of exercise yesterday but won't be able to get in as much today. Definetly 10 but hoping for 30.

I vote for the week before xmas to end the challenge too.
 
DH and I signed up for the 5K in January at AK for marathon weekend! I'd love to know if any of my Black Team Losers will be there too!

I'll be in WDW that weekend. I've signed up for the 1/2 though. I'm just hoping to finish without getting swept. :scared1:

I lost 4.4 but I'm struggling - I think that was only because I was unusually high after Labor Day :teeth: So I have posted a thread and if any of you can help or offer insight I'd appreciate it soooo much! http://disboards.com/showthread.php?p=20749723#post20749723

I think you had a great loss, but I'm sorry to hear you are struggling. I checked out the thread, and really have no advice to offer. I know how you feel though. Remember that commercial with the 2 cartoon stick-like figures. The woman says that she and her dh decided to stop eating bread and he lost like 20 lbs and she lost 1. Then they cut out diet soda and he lost like 15 lbs and she lost 1. Then they started exercising and he practically dissappears and she lost 1. That is so how I feel. Dh just has to decide to lose weight and it starts to melt away, and I have to work so hard at it. Arrrggghhhh!!! It's just not fair.

My 1st doctors visit went okay yesterday,told me to eat healthy,avoid caffeine,sugar,and to rest,HA,not much rest going on with two kids under 3 but Im trying,lol

keep up the good work everyone and I will check in again tomorrow or the next day

I am still missing 6 people from my list who have not reported. So far we have lost a total of 80.4 pounds this week.

Did you all get your 10 minutes in yesterday. Try to get it in today.

The captains are trying to decide when to end this challenge. The show runs until Christmas.

We are thinking about the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I would love to see it go until the Tuesday before Christmas but that is because I have a doctor's appointment two days after Christmas.

Sorry I'm late. I just PMed you. I am doing well with that challenge. In fact, I just finished a 50 minute walk. Pretty good pace, too -- for me anyway. Also, after I'm done here, I need to go to my dds' school, and I've decided I'm going to ride my bike there instead of driving (About 4 miles round trip).

I, too, would love to see it go through Thanksgiving and close to Christmas. I think it'll help keep us accountable during the crazy holiday season.

And speaking of accountable..... I'm bummed to say that I did not have a loss this past week. I didn't gain either though. My oldest had a birthday this past weekend, and I really did not eat nearly as much cake as would have in the past. I still did have a slice though, but no ice cream this time. I don't think that was the reason though. I feel like I've gained about 1 1/2 lbs in each of "the girls" right now, so you know what that means. I will be ravenous for the next couple of days. Then, hopefully, things will start to get back to normal, so I really need to concentrate on my food intake the next couple of days. (TMI, I know.)

Congratulations to everyone else on their loss though. Ya'll are all so inspiring.
 

Good Morning!!!!

In addition to my walk yesterday, I was bound and determined--even if it killed me--to walk 3 miles yesterday afternoon to try to start preparing for the 5K in January (hope to see you there AKbabe! I'll be walk/running). Well, it did almost kill me, but I did it! My face was sooooo RED!!! So, I did a total of 4 miles yesterday. Here's the kicker... I weighed this morning... UP .2 lbs. I know that's minimal, but after 4 miles, I hoping for a drop of .2, not a gain!!! ugh! :mad: And Yes, I know you shouldn't weigh everyday, but I was just hoping after all that work, so see a bit of a drop :( Oh, well... Here's hoping I'll see it later in the week!

Donac--I'd like to see it go to around the X-mas time frame too. The longer the better!

Minigirl--You didn't gain so that is great! Do not get discouraged. I have those weeks too, but I just tell myself that staying the same is better than gaining! Good luck on the 1/2. I'd like to get there one day myself.

All my team mates--Keep up that good work! 80+ lbs is amazing! I'm so proud of everyone!!! Keep on eating healthy, exercising and drinking that water!!!

I totally vote for "as long as possible." The holidays are the worst time when it comes to staying on track. I have a 10-day WDW vacation in October, four days in NYC for Thanksgiving, and Christmas in Vegas---I NEED ALL THE SUPPORT I CAN GET!!!

I also think keeping this going until the week before Christmas would be helpful. I think we all need the extra support. If nothing else, at least until December 4th.....that way the challenge is for 3 months.

I'm good with before x-mas.... It will help keep me away from all the junk that comes out that time of year. (Halloween candy, pies, cookies, etc...)

That's my DH too.... We moved down to MD and he dropped like 40 lbs in 2 months with not much effort other than a 4 block walk each day to Metro. Me i would work out at the gym 4 nights a weeks and be lucky to loose 5 lbs in a month.

Only lost 1 lb last week but i skipped a gym week as i was changing memberships over to a new place.

Got settled in a new gym on Tuesday and did 20 minutes eliptical and 1hr weight class. Last night i went to a spinning class.

Tonight i have errands to run so no time for gym but i plan to take my dog and walk for a mile or so (since it's cool today) while my dd has baton lessons.

Another incentive for me..... I'm purchasing a scooter next week so i know that while i'm riding it, someone will always get a view of my butt. time to keep kicking it into some smaller shape.

Good morning team. I just got back for my walk -- 50 minutes, amd I'm just cooling down a bit before I hop into the shower. Then, I think I'm going to get right back out in the heat and bike to my girls' school and have lunch with them. That will help me get in a little more exercise and also force me to eat something other than fast food for lunch -- which I am really craving right now. I'm also enjoying a nice bottle of water. I love my Diet Coke and drink way too much of it, so I'm really trying to cut back on it.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a healthy day.

Good morning, black team!

I overslept this morning but still got up with enough time to do 30 minutes on the treadmill before getting DD8 off to school. I was tempted to just ignore the exercise today, but my conscience immediately got to me. I'm so glad it did. :cheer2:

Do we know who won yet and who were the biggest losers for the team? I noticed someone posted good job black team but wasn't sure where the results were. :) Hope everyone is having a great week... DRINK THAT WATER :teeth:
 
Let me just post our top winners for the week. When should be posting the winning team for the week either late today or first thing in the morning. It is taking us a little time to make sure that everything is right.

Our biggest loser for the first week is

No one gained this week which is a good thing. Everyone lost or stayed the same so we are ahead of the game.

This morning I didn't feel like exercising then I remebered the challenge so I thought that I would do 10 mnutes. I started doing some yoga and I lasted for 25 minutes. I just got home from shopping. My dh had given me a gc to a sporting goods store so we wwent to use it. I bought myself a small backpack that has a hydropack in it. It only holds 1.5 litters but that is still good for a walk.

I will probably get back to you later today or early tomorrow morning.

My eating has been not too good this week, but I am going to get back on track. I have been exercising each day, and I am so glad we have the challenge so I will force myself to do it.

Congrats dhcoffey on the great weight loss!

I definitely think the longer I can do this challenge the better!
