BL 7.1 Green Team!!!

WOW, it has been quite, I know for me I'm not on the computer near as much on the weekends as during the week.

QOTD - I love fresh strawberries but also love a good watermellon too:thumbsup2!!

I had a pretty productive day yesterday, knocked some things off of the list that needed to be done. The family went out for BIL's birthday last night, we didn't get to go due to some schedule conflicts but we did go back to the in-laws house and afterwards. I had one small scoop of sherbert and 1/4 of a cupcake. That was truly enough to get the taste and I was satisfied.

Not much going on today, we are meeting my mom for lunch, need to run and pick up a few things at the store then coming back home to pull out the suitcases and start putting in what we can.

I hope everyone has a great Sunday!!!

Good morning Green team!!

I am back from new york, and we had a wonderful trip. We didn't see a show, dona, but we did so much. One of my favorite moments was at the top of the Empire state building, we just happened to be there when the teenage mutant ninja turtles were coming for their 25th anniversary photo shoot. My son has loved them since he was 3. He has a ton of the action figures, a tmnt back pack, and was so excited to see them. It was pretty cool. The first time we went to nyc, he was looking in the sewers to see if he could find them, so it was so awesome.

As far as eating healthy, I didn't, but we did walk a lot. We ate lots of good food, and drank lots of fun drinks. That's ok, it's vacation, but yesterday, I went to ww and paid the piper and am starting fresh again. I'm above my starting weight for this challenge, so I won't be adding much to our team total, but I'm going to try my hardest to see a loss the next 2 weeks.

I did go through all the posts, and find that so inspiring and motivating for me. This is a great group we have here.

Thanks, lisa for coaching, and for all your support.

Welcome coach tink1963!

Tammy- I'm so excited for you and your trip. Your daughter looked beautiful at her prom.

Dona- sorry about your friend, and I hope he does well with rehab. Being a nurse, I have seen some people with strokes, really come back with time.

Melanie- I'm up 3.4 this week, and I'm joining you at Boot camp. we can do this. This beautiful weather is so motivating- I'm putting on capris today, but want to be able to wear shorts soon.

Well, I've done my 4 mile watp, and now I need to get off the computer and out in the yard. Have a great day everyone.

almost forgot the qotd- my fav songs are Kiss the Girl from little mermaid, and Some day my prince will come. I have a cd called country sings the best of disney, and the someday my prince will come is really up beat and fun.

fav summer fruits are deinitely berries- strawberries, blueberries, raspberries. We love to go pick them and eat more than we bring home. I can't wait for blueberries to come down in price. We've only been buying strawberries.

I know it sure feels good to cross some things off the to do list. I was able to get all the :laundy:done yesterday.

Well done at the party. I have heard that it take only three bites to get the taste and after that it's just wasted extra.

Today DH and I are headed to DL for the day. I'm wearing my pedometer cause I plan on walking lots.

Good morning, Greenies!

Hope that everyone is having a great week-end. We have a room remodeling project that takes up all of our week-end time. It was one of those projects that was supposed to be simple, not cost too much, and be done relatively quickly . . . . well, you know how that goes! :rotfl: Actually we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and by noon I already had over 7,000 steps yesterday!

QOTD for Saturday...

With spring arriving and summer just around the corner,

What spring/summer fruits are you some of your favorites?

I love blueberries, raspberries and a big summer berries here are huckleberries. Watermelon is great, too. There is a big watermelon spitting contest at our cottage at Lake Okoboji every year.

Welcome back, Kathy. I am glad that you had a great time. I am sure your son loved seeing the TMNT.

Tammy, I am sure that you will have a wonderful time on your trip. I will part of the virtual VWL groupies meet. ;)

Melanie, please send some of that warm weather this way -- it is still in the 40's here and some of that white, icy stuff fell out of the sky on Friday! :scared1:

Have a great week-end, Greenies!

Venetia, we must have been posting at the same time. Have a great time at DL today! I will be interested to hear how your pedometer experiment goes.

Wow sounds like the trip to NY was wonderful. I've never been but it is one place I would like to visit. And what a memorable trip for you DS on seeing TMNT. How cool is that.

I proud of you for getting right back to WW. Sometimes after vacation it is tough to get ourselves back in gear.

I did get some fruits on my shopping trip yesterday, strawberries, blackberries and a pineapple that smells divine. I can't wait to cut it open. :cloud9:

Were getting ready to leave soon, so I hope that you all have a nice sunday.

I will also leave you with Sundays QOTD...

Which Disney couple is your favorite?

I went to see Gran Torino-- loved it. I'll have to say Clint Eastwood is my favorite director these days. Didn't buy any clothes, checked Target clearance but didn't see anything I was interested in. It's kind of a bummer when it comes to clothes. I have an almost brand new bathing suit I really liked I got at Coscto on clearance that is too big now, and a really nice coat at the coast that we got a great bargain on off season(we bought matching)--it's too big now like all of my coats and too big coats don't work. Oh well. Just going to have to do some searching for some clothes I really like that fit.

**quotd- I love Oregon strawberries fresh from the farm.

Good Monday Morning. It is warm here in jersey and my dh gave me his cold from last week. I feel like I have been run over by a truck. I feel like I did in Sept and Oct when I had the shingles. This is the first time I have been really sick since then. It will get better. I have had no energy to work out but I have been watching what I have been eating so that is a plus.

Thanks for all of you have been doing the COW. I was really pleased when I got a number of pm's in my inbox on Friday. Keep up the good work.

Glad to see everyone back

Kathy I am glad that you had a good time in NY. I don't get in there as often as I would like.

Jayne It is hard to buy new things when you know you are going to lose some more weight.

Tammy Have a great trip.

Lisa I hope it is getting warmer where you are. I don't like 90's in APril.

Michelle Congrats on the weight loss.

I know I forgot someone and I am sorry if I did. My mind is really not working right now. I am glad I am giving tests for most of the day.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning.

I'm doing ok in the eating dept, went shopping and did not buy any junk. We had a bag of chips from the other day, so I split that into baggies for my son's lunches this week, so I wouldn't sit and eat the whole bag. I'm off to work, which makes it easier to stay on plan. Going to make a nice salad for lunch.

dona- sorry you are feeling under the weather, and i hope you feel better soon. Are you pretty close to nyc? I pretty clueless with geography, but I didn't realize new jersey was so close. We're only about 20 min from boston, and don't get in there too often. I didn't do the cow last week, but I'm keeping track now. Thanks for taking care of that.

jayne- it is a bummer when you have nothing that fits, but it's awesome that the clothes are too big, instead of too small!;) Congrat on your loss so far. Have you ever thought of buying a few things second hand? Some consignment shops have great deals.

Venetia- hope you had a fabulous time in DL. How close do you live? It must be awesome to be able to go for the day.

Lisa- :grouphug: I'll send you a hug for the cold and snow!! Ugh. We're having a little heat wave- 80s yest, and near 90 tomorrow. Last weekend at soccer- the field is right on the river, we were freezing cold. Yesterday, we were sweltering, but I said I would never complain after last week. Hope the warm weather hits your area soon. I know it will get cool again before too long though.

qotd- my favorite couple would probably be beauty and the beast.

I missed the biggest loser tues, so I googled it to see if I could watch it online, but I guess you can't, but I found this blog and it was a pretty funny synopsis of the show if anyone is interested.

I hope it's ok to post a link.

Have a great day everyone.

donac, :grouphug: hope that you are feeling better soon. I think that your resistance went down with all that stress last week. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

susan, maybe you can find someone to do alterations on the things that you really love that are too big. It is nice to be in a position where your clothes are too big!

Venetia, hope that you had a great time at DL yesterday. When we lived in Anaheim my Mom and I would go pick up my paycheck (in Tomorrowland above America Sings), have lunch at Blue Bayou and ride a couple of rides and go home. Those were some fun times!

Kathy, good plan getting those chips out of the house!

Which Disney couple is your favorite?

I will go with the classic Cinderella and the Prince. When I was growing up there weren't too many Disney couples to choose from. Actually now, probably Giselle and Robert are a little more realistic as far as a couple go. I sure wish that someone would come clean up our house if I sang a little song!

Have a great day, Greenies!

Good 'late' Monday morning...didn't get a chance to get on earlier.

I have the suitcases pulled down, getting all the laundry caught up and hope to put some things in tonight. We want to have the van pretty much loaded tomorrow evening so we don't have so much to put in early Wed morning.

mikamah - Sounds like you had a great trip, we drove through NY last year but didn't get to visit...that is a place on our want to visit list.

tink1963 - Hope you had a great day at DL, I'm sure you had a good number on your pedometer too.

lisah0711 - DH mentioned that there was a virtual meet going on when we have the meet at WL.

50sjayne - I know what you mean about clothes being too big but at least that is a good problem to have. I went looking for a shirt this weekend and couldn't find anything that excited me. I don't want to invest much since I hope to go down at least one more size.

donac - Hope you feel better soon!!

I need to finish up a few things so it's time to sign off. I hope everyone has a great day and stays on track with your plan. I've got a roast with some veggies in the roaster for dinner, a salad planned for lunch and lots of water today.

Sorry to hear about the cold. That is never any fun. Feel better soon

And reminder to self, get COw numbers to Dona.

I'm glad to hear you divided up the chips. That is one thing I keep telling my self to do, but just don't.

We did have a great time at DL yesterday. We live a little over an hour away. We have passports and try to go about once a month. Weather was perfect too. The food and wine fest started at DCA, which made the park crowded. Plus Mouse Planet was doing their trivia hunt yesterday too. Luckly we went early and got in most of the rides we wanted. I logged over 14000 steps yesterday too.:cheer2: but down side is my eating was not good yesterday.

Hi everyone. I saw the suggestions that I add a ribbon, but I don't know how!

Michele, it is super easy to add your ribbon. Sign in to the Disboards. Up at the top on the left hand side under the links to the threads are the words "User CP." Click on that and go to Edit Signature. Your signature will come up with the address for your ticker that you have now. The WISH ribbons are part of the smilies -- you will have to click on more and scroll down for the ribbon that is appropriate. Hit enter, preview and it should be there. Good luck! You should wear your ribbon proudly for all of your hard work! :goodvibes

Hey everyone - the past few days have been OP. Just slightly over in calories today (ate 4 organic cookies) - but I'm still considering it a success. I wrote it all down, and I ate 4 sandwich cookies and put them away. That in itself is a success. Going to do this, one day at a time!

Melanie, please send some of that warm weather this way -- it is still in the 40's here and some of that white, icy stuff fell out of the sky on Friday! :scared1:

YIKES - It's been so hot here that we are sleeping with the windows and fans open. The house was actually hot until the sun just went down (I refused to turn on the air just yet). I did use the AC in the car yesterday - it was so dang hot in the car !

One more day of heat and then it's supposed to go down over 30 degrees - yikes!

If you walk 14000 steps you can afford a little not so good eating IMHO. :goodvibes Glad that you had a good time!

I'm trying to undo the damage, today I walked 12534 steps which show as 5.54 miles, and 3 miles of that was a power walk on my lunch hour.

Hi all! Well, I am back on track after a pretty disasterous weekend! One of these weeks, I am going to manage to stay on plan all week! I will really try and make that happen THIS WEEK!

I've been reading a bit over on the C25K (couch to 5K) thread and I have to admit, I am intrigued. I do various exercise classes on Tues, Weds, and Thurs right now but they all end in June. I thinik I am going to give that C25K a shot when my classes end. I have a dream of participating in a Disney 1/2 marathon in a couple years, so starting with 5K's now would make perfect sense! I have never been a runner, but that's what a lot of the people are saying over on that thread. Something to look forward to...

Hope everyone is well and finding success in their food and exercise plans!

Yes, we had a couple of days of warm weather a couple of weeks ago. I will not turn on the a/c in April, I don't care how warm it gets! Snow level is dropping to 2000 feet here tonight -- the flowers will not be happy . . . :flower1:
It sounds like you are doing a great job staying on track! :thumbsup2
