the numbers for the team challenge are being double checked right now. there may be some adjustments because there may be some discrepency. So please double check your numbers. I think everyone was on target, but if I missed something, please let me know..
The biggest thing to check is that ...
1. drinking water every day is max 5 pts.
2. two new fruits or veggies for a total of 5 points, but it is unlimited points on how many times you tried a new fruit and/or veggie. 2 fruits/and or veggie = 5 points. 4 fruits/and or veggie = 10 pts. etc
3. Doing a hobby for 20 minutes instead of snacking for 5 pts. each time is worth 5 points
4. healthy breakfast is max 5 points if you ate that everyday
5. For each 3 servings of whole grains this week is 5 points so that is each time 3 servings is eaten it is 5 points
6. 2 non starchy vegetables 3 days this week. Max of 10 pts.
7 No eating of fast food (except subway and salads) max of 5 pts.
1. I drank water every day = 5 pts
2. I tried a total of 3 new fruits/veggies = 7 1/2 pts
3. I did a hobby for at least 20 minutes instead of snacking, many times, every day of each day last week; I just don't "snack". = ??? If I counted every 20 minute increment that I was working on a hobby and not snacking, I'd have quite a high number here.... LOL
4. I had a healthy breakfast every single day = 5
5. I ONLY eat whole grains, at least 2 or 3 servings per day. So each day X 7 days = 35 pts
6. I eat NO starchy veggies (I'm on South Beach!
) = 107. I ate NO fast food last week! Even those gross french fries were from a real restaurant = 5
So now, can ANYONE tell me what my total points would be? I have to say, I think these contests are slightly difficult in trying to add up and keep track of points. I wish there was a simpler, more exact and specific method, so it's easy for all of the participants to keep an accurate record. There appears to be too wide of a margin for personal interpretation, which may or may not be unfair to the other teams. Just my humble opinion.
Easily done.
now that's my kind of strength training
i for one understand when life gets crazy and you can't check in or report in on time...it happens and now you have a jumpstart for next week! your exercise plan looks good...might look better with a couple 10 minute stretching sessions at the end of your tennis workouts for some team challenge points
for some answers and a speedy recovery!! i thought the same thing about Jillian, i like her better after hearing one of her podcasts. i hope it's not too late to download her interviewing Bob??!!
honestly that was not my intention and i would never want to add stress or complication to your BL experience
i'm going to go edit this weeks challenge with a little more specificity......and please know that the challenges are for FUN! if they seem too much just pick one or two tasks and do that and no worries! if you can add 5 or 10 pts to the team total that is FANTASTIC! it was hard for me to try and 'challenge' 100+ people in a way that everyone could relate. i hope you don't give up on them...and i appreciate your feedback, it's not unnoticed, i hope you'll be able to tell in the future?
and
that i got my big Long Walk(LW) done! it's the longest long before the 1/2 marathon in about 4 weeks. and it's done! did i mention i got it done??!!

. Remember to take care of you during the sad time. I'll be praying for you.
and your exercise plan is fine. It is a way to get down on paper your exercise commitment! WAY TO GO!

I only did 10 mins, but it was fun and I will definately do it more in the future.
And the episode with Bob was in July I think, so it should still be available, I only downloaded it last week.
I didn't mean to imply that the challenges were not well thought-out or a bad idea or anything! It seems that everyone else did fine with keeping track, so it must just be me.

I hope those hives go away, away, away... is the Claritin helping? Awesome job with the rower! That is fantastic! I think it is great you are addicted to exercise, your body loves you for it!
If you've gone around the bend, take me with you! I am learning to love the feeling I get when I exercise. I used to LOVE that feeling and I look forward to when I can run again and get that Lovin' feelin' again!
DH taped it for me, so it was neet to see! Pretty soon that new job will have me off of weekends!
