Bitten by bug while at Disney, will it ever go away?

You're only hope is to infect someone else. That way you know you're not alone!!!!!

Sorry. Have to agree it is a permanent affliction. Well, I don't feel it is an affliction to me, but my bank account begs to differ....

I've got the bug big time, and there is no cure! I went in September and I still have Disney on the brain. I think about it constantly and I'm always trying to strike up Disney conversations in the hopes that I can find a support group :rotfl:

I think the only thing that can make you feel better is to start planning another trip!!

:thumbsup2 Have been going religously sine 1976!! We for a short time moved to California, so we made up for it by doing Disneyland instead. Not the same, but alot of fun anyway. I was 4 during our first trip, I'm now 36 and believe I may in some way be related to Walt himself. (Or at least Mickey!!!):lmao:

No it doesn't go away. I got bit in '94 at DL and my DH was bit in '06 (our first trip to WDW). We have made plans to go back every year and have missed only one year, that was in '07...but we made up for the lost time, we did two trips last year. Most of my co-workers think I work just to support the payments of the trips! I don't know what will happen if we ever have children :goodvibes

Sorry to tell you have been infected:sick: with the Mouse flu since 1997!! Sorta like being in a Disney delirium!!! It only seems to get worse!! We have talked about going other places for our vacations and we somehow always end up here!!! :confused3 Even my kids (not so little anymore) look forward to our Mouse House trips!!! :yay: Think it's because there are so many great memories from all our trips it's like an old friend to them!! So guess there's no cure. :confused3 Oh well just have ti grin and bare it. :) What a burden!!!!:rotfl: :lmao:

It just never, ever go's away and really you do not want it to go. As you can see by my screen name I am the Dad:cool1: and I thought I would be the Last one ever to get wrap Into the Disney love. i took my DS to DL when he was 8yo(he Is now 15) and even after that I was not hook.I took him In 2006 thinking ok this will be It he will have seen DL and WDW and that will be that right!, nope verey wrong!. Not knowing then, I got hook 2007 when we went back and at that time It was because he wanted to go back and on the out side I was like no Its to $$$ but on the Inside I ws like jumping up and down:banana:saying lets start planing now!!. Now Its 2008 We were going going gone :cool1: we are leaving In 3 weeks. Now through this my loveing GF/my DS mom swears she will not set foot any where near Disney:scared1: she hates to fly, hates large crowds and has to have a reason to go there other then how It makes you feel.So I am pretty confedent that she will never go,but she to this point has not completly stood In our way to go:rotfl2:she thinks that we have lost our minds:goodvibes, wich If this Is loseing your mind I do not want to find It.

I've had the "Disney bug" ever since our first trip in December 2000. We just got back two weeks ago and I'm already counting the days when I can reserve flights and hopefully rent points at the 11 month window. I'm already planning everything for next year.
It's one of those pesky bugs that just doesn't go away!! LOL

It starts with a simple trip...... and now it is part of our lives. We eat of Disney plates. We go on Disney training walks. We play games at dinner, like "If Space Mountain is Closed what is your top three rides at MK and why?"

So welcome to a very fun and wise group of people who can not believe in a world without the WORLD.;)

The Disney bug it is. :lmao: I think about it constantly since we got back! The kids talk about it almost daily and say they wish we were back and it's been almost a month since we were there.

Does this feeling ever go away? :cloud9:

NO, but eventually you will get used to it and learn to accept it and stop fighting it! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Definitely addicted here! As a previous poster had stated, you should think about DVC. We joined and atleast now I can schedule my "fixes" !!!

Yeah, in my case it has just gotten worse of time.

My name is Erika and I have been a DisBoard member for over a year...

We took our first trip to WDW in Aug 08 and just could not get enough. We went back in Jan 09 and are going back Dec 09. And we just received a free dining offer in August that I think we may do as well.

This is one addiction that I'm glad there is no cure or therapy for. :goodvibes

Sorry, but I'd have to agree with everyone else...it gets worse :lmao: I am lucky enough to have a DH who infected me. I can't believe at one point in my life I used to make fun of him for liking to go to Disney so much :rotfl2: Now, we have been every year since 2006 and we plan to keep it that way  I think I might even be more obsessed with it than him now (but don't ever tell him that).
