The Disney bug it is. :lmao: I think about it constantly since we got back! The kids talk about it almost daily and say they wish we were back and it's been almost a month since we were there. DH even took them out for a hike this past weekend and told them they were going to go climb Expedition Everest since we still have a lot of snow. This coming from the guy who was slightly ticked at me for talking him into taking the trip to begin with and stated more than once, even while there, that we shouldn't expect to ever go there again.

Does this feeling ever go away? :cloud9:

It's permenant and there isn't even a telethon!!

I am on these boards today (and almost every day) because, just over a month from returning from my most recent visit, I can already see/smell/taste/hear my next Disney vacation. Don't worry about reluctant DH's. They always come around...mine has (not to the degree I'd prefer, of course!)

It never goes away. It's a blessing and a curse! :lovestruc

It's been almost a year since I last went (15+ years prior to that) and, well, I'm now trying to figure out if I can do the Land & Sea package this year. I feel kind of bad--like I should just go somewhere else--but I just had so much fun and good memories from last summer that I want to go back.

I've thought of all kinds of things to be closer to Disney: moving to Orlando, somehow working at Disney (my boyfriend is a former Cast Member and I know he wouldn't have any objections to working there again), even semi-joking about wanting to just live at Epcot--and I'm 24.

Sorry, you're out of luck. Not only does it not go away, it tends to get worse. I mean, look at me- next trip is in October, and I am ALREADY thinking ahead to when the next one after that will be. Sick, I tell you. And being on these boards doesn't help a bit!!!!:lmao:

Oh no! At least it's a nice kind of illness.

I think this point actually makes it harder. With all the protesting and attitude I got from DH, he's also talking about the trip almost daily. He's always loved going to Wisconsin Dells for a long weekend each summer even though we only live an hour away. During our trip he stated more than once that the Dells will never be the same. He's even stated that he doesn't think we'll go there at all this year. I don't know if he'll ever really admit it, but I'm pretty sure he was bitten by the Disney bug too. He doesn't like to admit when he's wrong though. :cool2:

I'm hoping in a couple of years, once we've had a chance to build a fairly substantial savings (just became debt free late last year), that he will want to go back.

I've got the bug too!:woohoo:

We have been back from our trip (first visit for DD4 and DH) for a week. All I can do I think of ways to plan in a next trip! I'm going back sometime this year...or so I keep telling myself!

I tell you, I was addicted to these boards before we left (never posted, did the lurking thing for info.), but now...well...I can't stay off 'em!

Hi I am Darcy and I am a disney addict. . .

It first started when I was a kid and was taken to Disneyland. . .that was when I got my first taste. . .Disneyland became my obsession for many years.

Fast forward to summer 2007. My first trip to WDW with family. It was then that I realized I was truly addicted. . .I booked another trip in May, August, September and December. I swore that I would slow down In 2009 but I already have trips for March, May and July. . .

Oh, I did buy an AP in May of 2008. . .that was the beginning of the end for me. . .if I actually purchase DVC (I keep a plan in mind) then I will be in BIG trouble. . .major intervention will be necessary.

I was hoping having our trip over with would cause me to lose interest in this board and stay off it. No such luck. :lmao:

Nice to meet you nurse Darcy :rotfl: I wish we had enough vacation and could afford to go that often! :wizard: Have fun!!

Me too! As you can see, it's not happening here either! I didn't even join the boards until AFTER our trip! It just gets worse...worse I tell you!

All I know is the Disney bug must be one of those little "no see ums". I didn't even know I was bit until I started having the "Disney fever" that comes after the bite! :rotfl:

Ha.

I took the wife to WDW for a late honeymoon in fall 2006 (I'd been there 19 years previously, she had never been). We both had an absolutely fantastic time, and we loved it so much we went back last year.

I did, however, discover a sure-fire treatment for the Disney bug.

Join the Vacation Club. Then you can always look forward to your next trip- no more severe pining since you KNOW you'll be going back. We have two trips planned for this year alone (two months from Thursday will be our next visit). It won't solve wishing you were there, but it will help keep the pangs manageable.
