Welcome Home, GB! As I'm sure you know, we are all anxiously awaiting the deets. Can't wait to hear about all the ups and downs, and hoping it was more of the former than the latter.

How's the unpacking and vacation laundry coming?:rotfl2:

Thanks AC! We actually JUST got home. I believe the title for my final chapter will be "What do you mean by 'Indefinitely delayed'?".

Ooooh, Oooh! I know, I know! <waves hand furiously>

It means you will have to change the first leg of your flight to another plane a few gates down that has a layover in a different city than your original flight did. Then, when you get to that new layover city you will be directed down a random hallway and through a weird door to an elevator where a shoeless woman in a golf cart awaits you. This is your bus driver. Your shoeless bus driver will drive you CLEAR across the airport while planes are taking off and landing all around you (and reminder, you are the only non-airport employees on the bus). Then you will be dropped off at another airline for your flight home.

Upon arriving at home, your luggage does not come down the chute. You approach the little desk they have for lost luggage and tell your sob story.

The kind men have zero clue where your bags are but are confident they should show up tonight or early tomorrow.

3 days later, a couple discussions with UPS, and an arguement with a very rude woman at the airlines, you have your bags.

Sigh. I'm sorry GB, I hope it was at least somewhat better than our experience with those doomed words. :sad2:

And hopefully it was the worst thing that happened the entire trip, I can't wait to read all about it!! :woohoo: And of course, are you planning a return already? ;)

Yikes, BrookeElizabeth, that sounds like a nightmare from hell (or is that redundant?).

Joining you in the waiting for the GB trippie popcorn::

 Ya...it was NOT fun, esp with a little one. Our dinner that night was a peanut butter cookie (from Main Street Bakery) and Cracker Jacks (from Caseys) that I happened to carry on. We were orginally booked Continental, so we would have gotten dinner served on the plane!

I was very grateful to have that bit of food, as was my DH and DS. We were so thankful to finally land back home, after dealing with the lost luggage we hit a Burger King drive through just before midnight and I don't think any of us have ever shoveled food into our mouths any faster!

It was an ORDEAL. :sad2: Needless to say, we are very willing to pay extra now for direct flights! :thumbsup2

(sorry for the hijack GB...! I hope you update soon!)

Yikes, that doesn't sound good. Where is he nail biting smiley?
It was definitely an experience!

Hijack away! I'm with you on the direct flight thing.

It's all good. At least it didn't happen on the way TO Florida. I might have had an "incident".

This is SO true. Delays on the way home are an inconvenience. Delays on the way down are DISASTERS!!!;)

I'm sure you're busy as all get out with re-entry (Awww, dontcha just HATE re-entry?!), but we'll be patient and take a chapter whenever you get the chance!! popcorn::

I am very happy to hear you and yours are home safe!

Alas, I am not ON the trip my ticker refers to, but I am reporting it as live as I can, so please, drop on by to help with re-entry - especially since you are one of my inspirations for doing the report!

Welcome home!

Re-Entry is a bummer. 1200 emails waiting. :headache: Hoping to update tonight though.
