Biltmore Who's Who?

I received some information today saying I had been "chosen" to be in this publication. Has anyone ever heard of it? Is it a scam or is it real? If its real, I'm quite honored. If its a scam, I want to pitch it. The reply card does NOT ask for any information (such as social security number) and they are not asking for any money, credit cards numbers, etc. I looked on the website and it seems legit, but I just wanted to know if anyone else had heard of them.

It isn't really a scam but it isn't really an honor either. People that put up the money to have their name listed in the book make the book, that is about it. I know of people that we even put this on their resume, which is actually kind of funny. Often you will see things like "listed in Who's Who of what ever organization". I know one of my roommates freshman year in college brought her Who's Who book to school and was bragging about being in it, the rest of us were "invited" but didn't part with the $75 or what ever it was to be listed in the book.

It' sort of a scam. EVERYONE gets invited to join these things...even my sister (who came within a hair of flunking out of high school) was invited to join the "Who's Who of American HIgh School Students".

The whole thing is a SHAM and a joke. Save your $75 or whatever it is.

Thanks for the info guys. I'd never heard of it. I googled it and found a blog about it that was negative. But, that doesn't necessarily mean anything since anything can be posted on the Internet. That's why I came here . . . I knew SOMEONE would know about it!! Thanks again!!

I think most "Who's Who" books are scams. They will list you for free but the books are crazy expensive. However, people usually buy the books because they feel they're receiving a special honor by being in it.

I live in western MD and my DW and I got the same thing 2 days ago. We tossed it. Anyone and everyone can get in. It's not an honor

I got one as well. You mean an unemployed fry cook isn't part of "who's who? in the top executive world?" Even my dog t-bone got one a week later for all you haters. Time to recognize! Its only a matter of time before I gets my self up out this shelter and am once again top fry cook for KFC thanks to Biltmore! They are gonna put me into the top networking for fry cooks. Won't be long before I am cutting lettuce! WORD!
