Bikini exposure on cruise?

I am positive I am going to get slammed for this post but without wanting to seem like I am bashing the OP, I just don't understand a few things about this post...

When one "strongly believes" in something, what other people do or don't do (in this case, wear or don't wear) should not affect anything. These are your beliefs, what you base your life on...what you will instill in your children...

Or is it really about not wanting to be tempted? "Just trying to control my eyes!" indicates to me that perhaps your beliefs aren't as strong as you may think they are.

Everyday we all encounter attractive, sexy, beautiful people. That is part of life. What is also part of life is dealing with it like an adult.

Amen! :worship:

I don't see the OP expressing any desire to control others, and I certainly understand everybody has different levels of tolerance for various temptations.

I don't like being around drunks; that is one of many reasons why I choose Disney. Should I have been criticized for asking about drunkenness before my first Disney cruise? Are you offended by the daily alcoholics anomymous meetings for tempted people trying not to drink? Or do you ridicule their belief that they should control their alcoholism because they are weak enough to need help?

We regularly have people ask about tobacco smoke. Should they be criticized for not embracing smokers? Particularly asthmatics or people with allergies?

The OP may have difficulty controlling thouts around scantily-clad females; I know I do! He does not deserve criticism for wanting to avoid such temptation any more than I deserve criticism for occasionally seeking out such temptation.

1)You asking about drunkenness is very different than asking about females in bikinis. I don't think a lady in a bikini has ever offended anyone by simply wearing one. It is, however, very possible that someone who is drunk could offend people by simply being drunk. Also if you are comparing someone dealing with alcoholism to someone who fears seeing women in bikinis, I will suggest that, in itself, is offensive.

2)Again, tobacco smoke... women in bikinis . I really don't see the comparison. There is a proven health risk when dealing with tobacco smoke.

3)That is my point exactly. The OP uses the term "belief". A "belief" is not dependent on other's behavior but rather it is unaffected by anything.

Really..........this is your concern,,,,,on a Disney cruise:confused3 Really.......

The same things happen and are seen on a Disney cruise, that happen and are seen on any other cruise....or vacation in general.
So YES, on a DISNEY CRUISE.

Oh, but imagine the great "discussions" we would have...........

And I'd sit next to him and point out all the people who are no more "civilized" than anyone on any other ship.

You & me.....we're just going to have to agree to disagree. But that's okay. Differences are what make the world go 'round. :thumbsup2

I call troll ... or at least determined pot stirrer ... first post on the same day registering and no follow up after four pages of responses. If I'm wrong I'll be happy to admit it.

Have to say ... have enjoyed reading the entire thread. :rotfl:

This thread has gone off track. The OP has received many responses and has not responded to any of them. I'm closing this now before it goes off track any further.
