Biggest Loser "Sizzlin' Hot" Summer Challenge

QOTD
So how did you do this week? What did you do right? What can you work on for next week?

Eh, its hard to describe. This week was one of those weeks where I had so much other stuf going on in life I didn't really focus on my food and/or exercise, however I still managed to lose almost 2 pounds. Yeah, go and try to figure that one out.

The weeks that I'm focused on other things I loose an incredible amount but then on the weeks I'm focused on everything I hardly lose anything. I've noticed that over the past few months and it just strikes me as odd.

This week I hope to work out more. I only really worked out Sunday - Tuesday. I didn't completely fall off the wagon, I'm just holding on for dear life and hoping I don't land on my butt, :lmao:.

what are some of your favorite games? Do you like to play boards games inside, or team games outside? Are you in any leagues? Are you more of a spectator and like to watch games live or on TV?

Depending on my mood I like video games and/or board games. I'm not big into team sports other then professional ones. I like watching the Texas Rangers on tv though and when we were in TX we went every now and again.

Don't say you don't have any time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Tomas Jefferson and Albert Einstein.

I've heard that quote before and I have to say, its one of my favorites.. :)

Took an early sneek peek at the scale and it was GREAT! Finally made a significant move in the right direction!

I haven't started coffee yet, so off to do that!.........................P

Good work this week Pam! :thumbsup2

Blah, good morning everyone.

The scale gave me a nice slap in the face this morning. Instead of losing like I thought I would, I gained a bit more. I'm only a couple lbs away from the 140s again.

Two weeks of gaining isn't bad, but this is how it happened last time. I slowly "relaxed", stopped worrying so much, thought it'd be "okay" and that's how 40lbs crept back up on me. I got on the scale this morning, was digusted with myself and wanted to throw up.

I find I'm making all the excuses I read about when people have jobs. Not enough time, too tired, etc. I posted yesterday that health wasn't a priority and I realized that's not okay. I need it to be in order to be happy, it doesn't have to be #1 but in my entire day, I can find time to run a mile or ride an exercise bike for 30 minutes. I have been doing my yoga which is an immense help, but it's not calorie burning exercise. I've been eating way too much chocolate. It's a sugar addiction I picked back up once I went to WDW. All the ice cream and carefreeness of it hit me again and I crave chocolate. I have to put it down.

Someone asked, basically the meditation revolution is just an online thing from yogajournal that I signed upf or emails they send everyday. Each week there is a new practice that you do everyday. This week is mostly just meditating for 10 minutes every morning then writing how you felt.

Well, I hope you all have a better weigh-in than I did! Have a great day!

I also can relate! It is so easy to slip into bad habits ... mainly because it tastes so good. I am at the lowest I have been since I had my children and it feels good. As I kept trying on clothes for vacation (and they fit and looked good) ... I kept saying this feels so much better than having a Big Mac, that tastes good for 15 minutes!

We are here to help! I agree with Pam, pretend it is week 1 again. I always know I do so much better that week. Keep us updated during the week.

ONEDERLAND!!! :cool1::banana::cloud9::woohoo::dance3:

Okay, so I "technically" hit it yesterday but still!!!

Its been a crazy last 24 hours in this house, so I'll give you the highlights.

** took care of something that I had been putting off for months. Whoops, hopefully it'll be resolved in a few days.

***Alan's daughter turned 21 on Father's Day. In 21 years he's never spent a holiday with her and he's only seen her 3 times in her entire life. He has his nasty witch of an ex to thank for that.

In less then 2 weeks she'll be living with us, permanently. :) I'm truly happy for them. Alan has wanted this for YEARS and now is finally going to get the chance to get to know his daughter.

Alan was telling her about how we visit Disney (she's never been) on the weekends and how we go to Daytona Beach, etc etc. I said "She could come with us in Sept when we stay at our timeshare for 3 days." He said that she heard me say that and she got all excited.

We sent her a care package last week with a prepaid cell phone, a Florida t-shirt, and a Wal-Mart gift card. She used the gift card today and bought clothes. She told Alan she cried as she walked out of the store. It had been 2 years since the last time she had bought herself new clothes. All of the money Alan was sending for child support over the years (even after she turned 18) she wouldn't ever see. Her mom told her "I'm not giving it to you. I'm keeping it because of all the crap your dad put me through."

We're all 3 just rolling are eyes at his ex and Alan's daughter is so fed up with her. I think in all the time she's been in Dallas with her boyfriend she's not even spoke to her mom. Part of the reason she moved away was because her mom kept talking crap about Alan and flat out told her "As long as you live with me you won't have a relationship with your dad."

I told Alan "When she gets here we should take a picture in front of Cinderella's catle at Magic Kingdom and have her put it on her FB and caption it "Got my Happily Ever After, Finally!" :)

*** I went to the hematologist yesterday. I explained the situation, went through medical history, yada yada yada. He basically told me "Okay, since all the blood clots were found at one time, vs over a period of time, there is really no reason you should be on blood thinners, especially not the rest of your life. Your very young." Soooooo, he's going to be getting records together from my old hematologist, my dr here, etc etc and look things over. I'll get a final verdict on August 3rd. I'm fairly confident I'll be off this crap in a few short weeks. I even jokingly told him, "You take me off this stuff I will throw a party in your honor." He just laughed. :)

Oh and totally off topic but he didn't even look old enough to be a doctor :lmao:

Oh and I'm down 1.6 pounds for the week, even during TOM which is purely amazing!

So, that's my update, now I'm off to eat breakfast.

Toodles! :tinker:

:cool1: :woohoo: CONGRATS ON ONEDERLAND!!!!

It seems like everything is working out well for you and Alan. :) So glad to hear your doctor's appt. went well and how nice to have Alan's daughter live with you. I agree with Buffy, it will be a big adjustment for all of you.

OMG I'm right there with you!!! I have had a 2 pound gain, inching closer to the 190's again. It sucks!!!
Chocolate has been my down fall too, I love it, I admit it. But I have to decide which I want more. I want to be healthy and active and a good role model for my kids, especially DD.

I was crushed when Pamela said in an old BL challenge (ad-libbing here) We will always have to eat like we are fat. But she was right!! We can't be a skinny minny and eat what ever we want when we get thin. This is a life long commitment!! We have seen that just in this short time of mindless eating and not logging food and exercise, that our weight creeps up faster than it would on someone with a higher natural metabolism.

I will be joining you on week 1 with food again. We'll do this together!!!

I've got 3 quotes for you

Don't say you don't have any time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Tomas Jefferson and Albert Einstein.

Ugh ... sorry you went up. I have had some really good weeks and did everything I was suppose to ... and have gone up. It is SO frustrating at times. Next week will be better! ... and, move away from the chocolate! ;)

And, thanks for coaching last week!

Good Morning Losers!!!!
So my QOTD is, what are some of your favorite games? Do you like to play boards games inside, or team games outside? Are you in any leagues? Are you more of a spectator and like to watch games live or on TV?

I'll be back late tonight with responses!

I like board games or card games and I am a competitive person when I play. When the kids were little, I would let them win ... but not anymore! I am ruthless when we play.

You HAVE to ride Toy Story Mania (it is worth the wait). It is perhaps my favorite ride. I love all technology on this ride.

As far as sports games, I am a spectator ... and that is actually if I watch at all. I am not a real sports kind of person.

Well, off to pack suitcases. Hoping I can fit everything in and not go over 50 pounds. We will see how that works out. Have a great Friday everyone!

I was so nervous that I would be the same I was two weeks ago due to our trip to Houston. Well in two weeks I'm down 2.2 pounds! I am so glad I was able to keep up my pound a week goal! :cheer2::cheer2:

I like to play vollyball & softball. I don't get to play often but i love them. I also love to watch baseball and college football. Go Cubies & Go Clemson. :)

You guys are the best!! :hug:

The only problem I am really having is chocolate. But too much does all hard work in. And I need to remember that I can't trade what I want long-term for what I want now. I know food isn't important, I think we're all striving to make the whole "eat to live, not live to eat" thing come true. It's just a difficult point right now. I still fit in all my clothes and I'm basically "maintaining" but I don't want to be, I want to lose! Thanks for the advice, I will start this week like week 1.

Thanks for coaching this week!!

I do not like team sports. I like to watch football and sometimes local baseball but that's it. I'm not competitive against anyone else and it's too much pressure, so my "games" are solo sports. Running, boxing, etc.

OMG I'm right there with you!!! I have had a 2 pound gain, inching closer to the 190's again. It sucks!!!

:goodvibes:goodvibes :hug:

Thank you!! It does suck. I've had a straight path through most of the Spring challenge and only gained a couple times but once I came back from Disney it was hard to get back into the place where I have to really pay attention. I enjoy being healthy and eating healthy and exercising, afterwards. :lmao: It is a little upsetting that it's true that we always must eat like we're fat. To see everyone eat the same things and lose 5lbs while I can eat like them and gain 10.

I just watched Ratatouille the other day and I really love the "If we are what we eat, then I only wanna eat the good stuff." :thumbsup2

First of all....:hug: I can SO relate to how you are feeling! After being on this journey pretty much NONSTOP for 4.5 years now, I can still feel like a total "diet failure" at times! And there are occasional moments when I totally crave being the old fat Mom who doesn't care what she eats! I get sick and tired of counting points, worrying about every calorie, stressing about fitting in exercise (on top of a pretty full schedule already). I've had a few scale-moments along the way that were SO discouraging that I literally cried and had to think LONG AND HARD about not totally throwing in the towel.... even after losing 80+ pounds!

But then I STOP.... and think (and sometimes look back at old unflattering photos) and realize that I LOVE being slim and healthy and YES it is worth every minute of thinking, stressing, etc. I NEVER, EVER want to go back to being 200+ pounds. Sure... it is HARD to count calories, deny cravings, fit in fitness, journal every bite, but being FAT was hard too! It was hard to feel good about myself, it was hard to be comfortable, it was hard to have NO self-confidence, hard to worry about being an embarrassment to my kids and husband, hard to try to avoid photos.

If you DO keep a journal or food diary, try going back to reading week one or week two or some week when you were SUPER motivated..... a week when you had your "eye on the prize" so to speak. Try rekindling those feelings.

As far as the food is concerned.... go back to a Week #1 mentality. Count EVERY SINGLE CALORIE/POINT. Preplan EVERY SINGLE MEAL AND SNACK in advance, in writing. Eat ONLY what you've planned and only in the portions you planned.... and weigh/measure EVERY PORTION. Stick with the BASICS of weight-loss eating (I HATE the word "dieting"). Stick with filling foods that are low cal and healthy like lots of greens, fruit, lean proteins. Watch the carbs (especially white carbs),sugars, salt, and Frankenfoods. Figure out a healthy treat for once or twice during the week (low-fat froyo or the like). If you are struggling with this, just keep telling yourself it is just for ONE WEEK. But you may (hopefully) find that you are SO re-motivated and re-energized by this week, that it kick-starts you in the right direction again.

DD suggests a new line-up of music for work-outs if you are struggling with exercise (as I am!). Or perhaps a new type of exercise??? Or BOTH?

You are worth it! Your health is worth it! Your self-esteem is worth it! You CAN DO THIS! You can get re-motivated! Remember the DIS BL motto... Never, ever, ever give up! :flower3: ............................P

:goodvibes:hug:

Thanks Pam! Just a low point that I need to work myself through. All other parts of my life are doing fabulous and I'm really happy but I am sacrificing my "health" for it. It's mostly the point of wearing out. When I'm good on my diet I do really well. I'm one of those all or nothing, it's hard for me to see grey so when I screw up, I continue. I stopped counting because I generally eat all the same things and that's where the chocolate started falling in. A few here and a few there can't hurt? And when I see I lose 1+ lbs that week I think I'm doing just fine. Then it goes to that "a little more is all". Yeah, I think we've all been there.

Thank you everyone! I'm feeling much better after work. I counted my calories today and hit it right on the nose before exercise (which I WILL do) and copied and pasted down the HH for this week so I can participate! I've only gotten about 3 cups of water today because I was busy but it's time to chug this evening! :yay: I'm only 10lbs away from my lowest back in high school which was my main goal. I am so lucky that I've made it this far without too many road blocks and I'm lucky to be at the weight I am.

Hope you all have a wonderful and HEALTHY evening!

Oh, Toy Story Mania brings out the worst competitor in me, just ask Pamela!!! :rotfl2:
I love that game!

We do play board games, but I'm more of a puzzle kind of person. We play cards a lot, DD loves Guess Who so I play that with her and we bought Cars monopoly for the RV, that is fun and the littler kids can play it.
We don't really do outside games, the kids have a frisbee, and we have lawn darts and bean bag toss. Most of our outside games are for the RV.

We don't really do sporting events other than our local farm baseball team. But that's more of a go do something different thing.

Glad you had a better day today!!!
I went over but not intentionally, I didn't look at the D'Angelo's nutrition info before we went. Bad me!!!

I had a great response to the Help Wanted post. Don't let this opportunity pass you by - Only one week left. :beach:

Good Saturday morning everyone.

Where is everyone this morning? It is 11 here. I have been up worked out and gone grocery shopping and almost is everything is away.

I got the paperwork for Magical Express yesterday :cool1::cool1::cool1: I am so excited it is comeing close.

Nothing much planned for today. We spent yesterday mornning mowing my sil's lawn. Then I got to pick up my sewing machine. I haven't brought it into my sewing room yet but some time today. Tonight we are going to a local production of Legally Blonde. A friend's daughter is in it. I never know who I am going to see or run into when I got to a local production.

Nothing planned for tomorrow.

Ds will be using the computer this afternoon to work on a paper due tomorrow. He only has one more page to do.

I have to put my china cabinet back together. Dh finished painting the other day and we got new curtains up and the furniture in. Now I have to reset the cabinet.

Off to get some more work done.

Have a happy and healthy day.

How fun! One of my best memories when I was a kid was playing Candy Land with my DM. And she always let me win, haha.

Hope your suitcases all fit under the weight limit!

I love reading everyone's responses-I just wish I had gotten to them last night! I went out with a big group of friends last night to celebrate one friends' promotion and got way too tied up, but it was so great to celebrate his achievements!

Now for the QOTD...

We're off to Rockin' Rollercoaster today!!
6aa891aa.jpg

This is one of my absolute favorites at any park- an indoor roller coaster with turns and inversions and spins and one of the coolest themes ever. And one of the best parts about it is the music!! Music is a huge motivating factor for me during a workout (or anything, really!)

What are some of your favorite songs to play during your workout? Do you listen to music during your workout, or plug in your headphones to the local news?

I love to run to fast, upbeat songs, but not really anything by Aerosmith, haha. One of my favorites is Flo Rida, and I love David Guetta. Anything related to hip-hop is good with me! But it's funny, I don't like to listen to it when I'm not working out. Maybe my brain makes the connection between that kind of music and exercising and rejects it when I'm not wearing the right shoes, lol!

QOTD
So how did you do this week? What did you do right? What can you work on for next week?

Quote of the Day

there is no progress if there is no struggle

My week had it's ups and downs. My workouts were good and my eat up until dinner were great. It's after dinner around this time (7:00) that I start craving sweets (mainly chocolate). I need to start buying the unhealthy stuff for the rest of the family that I don't like. So, instead of Oreos (love them), I will have to find something else that I won't go and eat at night. Making a grocery list right now and sticking to it!

Don't say you don't have any time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Tomas Jefferson and Albert Einstein.

Sign me up for looking back at week one & getting back in that mind set. I'm glad I'm not the only one. This is why I love the biggest losers~so much support and others who can relate!

Good Morning Losers!!!!

So my QOTD is, what are some of your favorite games? Do you like to play boards games inside, or team games outside? Are you in any leagues? Are you more of a spectator and like to watch games live or on TV?

I'll be back late tonight with responses!

I'm not big into team sports. My favorite games are board games, Wii games with the kiddos, and backyard games like corn hole and croquet.

I probably shouldn't admit this, but I love to listen to Justin Timberlake & Britney Spears when I run. When I'm at mile 3 or 4 or 5 and just want to quit, if Justin comes on & brings his sexy back...I pick up my pace :rotfl: I also have some Beastie Boys, Michael Jackson, Jay Z, Maroon 5, Lady Gaga, amongst others.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had a nice lazy Saturday. I did walk the dog and did some strength training, but other than that...I didn't do too much. The kids just wanted day of nothing and I think we all needed it.
I am going to go back and look at my weight watchers journal from when I started in May and take a look at what I was eating. I need to get completely back on track. I've done much better this week compared to while I was on vacation, but still it wasn't pretty. I think I'll be looking at the weight watchers recipes, too.
Okay, off to do a few things before I have to get the kids ready for bed at 9-ish. I'll be back tomorrow.
Hi all,
Sorry I've been missing so much this week! Work has been crazy busy and a couple of days I stayed late and then skipped one night fighting a cold. Went to visit my dad today with Brian and the girls today. I was very proud of him today with the amount of walking he did with his walker. We showed him photos of our trip and he and Brian talked baseball and other stuff they like to discuss! Mom will go down tomorrow and then I will go on Monday and Wednesday to visit him. Don't know when I'll get down again due to work.
Gave 12 massages this past week and have 16 scheduled this week. Working on Wednesday afternoon which is my day off but taking an extra day off next week to make up for it. Just trying to squeeze all the double groupons in has been a frustrating situation.
My house is a disaster. Hopefully I will have time to work on it tomorrow during the day. We have a triathlon that goes by our house tomorrow morning so we will be up early cheering them on. It's a yearly even that we all look forward to. We have prime viewing for the running part. We make breakfast and bring out a table and eat by the side of the road and read the paper! Several neighbors hang out with us during the event!
Had steak tips and pasta salad for supper tonight. Tomorrow we will have something simple for lunch and then eat leftover Chinese food for supper tomorrow night when Mom gets home from seeing Dad. Still trying to take care of stuff from our vacation! I posted a whole bunch of photos from our cruise on FB yesterday! IM me if you want to friend me to see them.
Watching the Red Sox game right now! Ash is going to watch the One Direction thing on tv in a few minutes so she just made some popcorn. The ac is cranking in the house so we are comfortable!
Hugs to all who need it! I have been trying to read along but just haven't had much time to post and won't in the coming week either probably! I love you all and all your support! Forgive me for not mulitquoting! I am thinking of all of you!
Happy for those that have reached new firsts! Those running this weekend! Those dealing with family issues both positive and negative! You are all an inspiration to me!
TTFN :tigger:
Late to the thread, but I would love to join. I'm going to read entire thread with my daughter surrenders a computer. :)
I am finally not suffering from illness. My sore throat finally went away, but of course the antibiotics gave my a yeast infection! With that going on, plus trying to get the "garden" in order, plus work, its been crazy! But i'm back, again, and i will start fresh tomorrow.
Weight loss wise things are going TERRIBLE! I CANNOT seem to find my groove. All these great habits I learned from you wonderful folks, its like i don't even care and i don't like that. i need to really sit down and figure out my priorities, but one things for sure i'm going back to calorie counting. ALSO NO MORE CANDY!
Work at the museum is just amazing, I feel so lucky that I get paid to work there. Today we had an outdoor music festival, plus water color painting, so i got to sit outside for most of the day, in between giving tours and it was almost cathartic. Yes it was busy and crazy but it was fun. Of course tomorrow I have to work at Petsmart all day which is just a bummer. I cannot wait to quit that place. It's just been way too many years, and the store is going downhill really fast, but unfortunately the museum does not give me enough hours to make this a reality.
Hope everyone is having a great week weight wise, at least better than me
I am so glad it's baseball season again. I am a big Braves and Orioles fan myself-love when they play!
The Braves are my 2nd team, they are kind of our home team. They are the closes pro team to us about 4 hours away. We are hoping to take my nephew to his 1st every mlb game there over the labor day holiday.
Good Morning Losers!!!!
My name is Kaiti and I am going to be your coach for the next week!!
This week, we're going to be visiting one of my favorite parks....
Disney's Hollywood Studios!!!
I love this park. It has some of my favorite attractions! But the one I am most excited about riding the next time I visit in September is...
Toy Story Midway Mania!
I've actually never gotten the chance to ride this ride- no one I'm with ever wants to wait in the line (I go with some impatient people, lemme tell ya...) but when I go in September, I WILL ride this! One of the reasons I'm so excited to ride this is because I love games. They're something I've learned to love since I've lost weight-I am not so self-conscious about how silly I look on the field as "the big girl". In fact, I recently joined a kickball league and we played our first game this past Tuesday!
That sounds like so much fun~!!
So my QOTD is, what are some of your favorite games? Do you like to play boards games inside, or team games outside? Are you in any leagues? Are you more of a spectator and like to watch games live or on TV?
I'll be back late tonight with responses!
Definitely NOT a team sports kind of person. But I do love games (cards, board games, etc), as do DH and DS (DD can take them or leave them). When DS was younger he could sit for HOURS playing board games with any willing opponent! If I NEVER play Life again, that will be fine with me!:rotfl:
I do NOT watch any kind of sports on tv or live, other than Olympic swimming (woohooo!!).... have never watched a World Series, Superbowl, etc. Couldn't care less.
Oh, Toy Story Mania brings out the worst competitor in me, just ask Pamela!!! :rotfl2:
I love that game!
Yup! And she's good! I'm pretty sure she and her DS beat DD and I more than once!!
All of the chocolate is gone from the house! Not bringing anymore in!
Tough love, huh??
Hope this week is starting well for you!
Good Saturday morning everyone.
Where is everyone this morning? It is 11 here. I have been up worked out and gone grocery shopping and almost is everything is away.
I got the paperwork for Magical Express yesterday :cool1::cool1::cool1: I am so excited it is comeing close.
Nothing much planned for today. We spent yesterday mornning mowing my sil's lawn. Then I got to pick up my sewing machine. I haven't brought it into my sewing room yet but some time today. Tonight we are going to a local production of Legally Blonde. A friend's daughter is in it. I never know who I am going to see or run into when I got to a local production.
That is one of DD's favorite shows! Wish you were closer to me!
Nothing planned for tomorrow.
Ds will be using the computer this afternoon to work on a paper due tomorrow. He only has one more page to do.
I have to put my china cabinet back together. Dh finished painting the other day and we got new curtains up and the furniture in. Now I have to reset the cabinet.
Off to get some more work done.
Have a happy and healthy day.
Full fridge AND spiffy new paint?? You are on a roll!!
Your trip will be here before you know it!!
We're off to Rockin' Rollercoaster today!!
This is one of my absolute favorites at any park- an indoor roller coaster with turns and inversions and spins and one of the coolest themes ever. And one of the best parts about it is the music!! Music is a huge motivating factor for me during a workout (or anything, really!)
What are some of your favorite songs to play during your workout? Do you listen to music during your workout, or plug in your headphones to the local news?
HOnestly..... I PREFER to run/walk on the TM so that I can watch a movie or something (but definitely NOT the news! BORING!) I find that my mind wanders too much with just music. But if I am outside I have a combo list of some more recent hits (Katy Perry, Black-eye Peas, etc), and stuff from my high school and college years.
Late to the thread, but I would love to join. I'm going to read entire thread with my daughter surrenders a computer. :)
Welcome, welcome, welcome! Feel free to read back if you have time, but if you don't, just pop in and get started! I know that the first QOTD is asking you to introduce yourself, so go ahead and let us know a bit about you!! Glad to have you aboard!
I am finally not suffering from illness. My sore throat finally went away, but of course the antibiotics gave my a yeast infection! With that going on, plus trying to get the "garden" in order, plus work, its been crazy! But i'm back, again, and i will start fresh tomorrow.
Sorry that you are struggling with health and weight-loss things. And double bummer that you can't afford to give PetSmart the heave-ho already. But it must be exciting to have a job that you really enjoy!
****************
Morning friends! I only have one more minute to chat before I need to hit the shower. Then we are off to one more day of this swim weekend! DD has been swimming like a CHAMPION lately! I am SO impressed! She continues to have best times at nearly every meet so far this summer! I pleased for her, because she had a few seasons recently where she struggled just to match her previous best times, but she NEVER gave up! She just kept swimming and working out and trying her hardest! SO PROUD OF HER!!
Okay, enough Momma-bragging!
I splurged on Chipotle for dinner last night and then a small soft-serve lowfat cone for dessert.... mmmmmm, delish! So today will be cooler packed with lots of healthy low-cal foods to bring along. Vacation is coming up and if I could have ONE MORE really good week on the scale before vacation, I would be so happy! I do NOT want to go on vacation being at the TOP end of my maintenance range :rolleyes:
Breakfast is eaten and mostly cleaned up. I spent an hour trying to pick wild blueberries this morning and didn't have much to show for my efforts. Not sure if I am trying later than usual this year or if the birds have been hungrier than normal. oh well. I will eat the tiny portion I did manage to get for a snack today. Not even enough to make a batch of muffins for DD. :sad2:
Need to dash! TTYL.............................P
Afternoon everyone!
Man, I need to get in the groove this week. Yes, I hit ONEDERLAND on Thursday but I feel like I didn't do anything exercise this past week. I need to change that this week.
Nothing much planned today. I need to get some cleaning and organizing done in my office. I also need to put some laundry away. Then at some point today I'm going to get some swimming in. We're leaving Thursday evening for Vegas and returning the wee hours of Monday morning. Monday night Alan's daughter will be here. We're hoping everything pans out between now and then. We're sort of on pins and needles due to the situation she's in right now. I'm just hoping we don't get a phone call at the last minute saying she needs to get out here sooner. I'll make it happen if it comes to that but we're not all to trusting of the guy she's with right now.
Fingers crossed she doesn't have any issues and she can just get through the rest of these 8 days.
